Hi Nisha.. The amount of sugar depends on the type of carrots used.. I prefer 1 cup sugar for 4 cups of tightly packed grated orange carrots and little less than 1 cup sugar for 4 cups of tightly packed red/Delhi carrots. Hope this helps you.
