This anime truly is legendary *SPOILERS* It built up megumi's role well and after you find out that she died it feels like a punch in the face every time it mentions it as well as Taroumaru. Along with the delusions this anime truly throws you off guard like madoka magica, I seriously need to watch this again 👌
Madoka Magica may have done the "oh how cute-PSYCH! Horror and nothing but horror bitch" thing first, but this series did it by leagues and bounds better. Don't think I've ever been hit in the face like that before and I don't think I'll get hit like that again.
When Megumi and Taromaru's graves came up feels punched me on the face, and then again when Kei walked past the car as a zombie and Miki saw her... why do you gotta do this to me, Reality?
I would love that, but sadly they probably won't. The manga gets so damn interesting after the point that the anime leaves off, it'd be great to see it animated but.... Unfortunately I don't think Gakkou Gurashi was enough of a smash hit to get another season.
I just finished the anime today. I went back later to watch episode 1 where things were happy, and then i stopped it 2 minutes before the episode was over.
I love this anime and it's characters, and am I the only who wanted Kei to survive she would've been a perfect member for the school life club. And on a side note am I the only who thinks Kei would look adorable as a plushie?
XxNinjaGaming1357xX Basically....some students and teachers were making something and it turned in a biological weapon (aka zombie virus) It broke out by obviously the students running, leaving doors open etc meaning the people who got infected at that point could escape and spread the virus by well...you know..bites xD Thats how it started.
Chennie Makes My DAE actually in the manga the virus was hinted to be created by the Randall corporation a massive pharmaceutical company whoms funding help build the city the story is set in
3:38 I don't know if this was done on purpose or not, but SPOILERS: in the manga Yuri is the one that starts losing her mind after Yuki regains herself, that is because Yuri lost her little sister during the apocalypse and the schizophrenic Yuki was so innocent that reminded Yuri of her little sister, so now that that Yuki regained herself, Yuri start missing her sister again and loses her mind (that's why she did interfere everytime Mii-kun tries to convince everyone to cure Yuki from her mental problems, Yuki with her behavior was keeping Yuri and the whole group mentally stable) So going back to 3:38, as I was saying, idk if it was done on purpose or not, but it looks like they made this little part a teaser of what would happen to her (Yuri) in the manga, start losing herself and begins seeing things that don't exists, so in this part it looks like Megu-nee represented that in a subtle way. (I hope it was done on purpose but probably not xD)
I swear,everytime I see Megu nee and Kei die it's..omg..my heart.. ((I know there wasn't showed how Kei got infected but the thought of this child being infected makes me want to cry))
One thing I don't get is why the school building looks like a damn nuke hit nearby with most of the windows blown out and most classrooms looking like they would in a Fallout game.
Wotan when there's panic and zombie attack people are violent or try to hide and in a school there's a lot of people and il means a lot of fight and a lot of dmg

Considering it came out long before Doki Doki, probably because people tend to think any dark media with a cute exterior is a Doki Doki (or Madoka) ripoff.
