The weapons used by the Mass effect ships actually aren't directed energy weapons. The reapers use a magnetic-hydrodynamic cannon, which fires molten metal at a fraction of the speed of light using an advanced form of rail gun. The Normandy main gun is a a Thanix cannon which is a reverse engineered version of that weapon

With so many crossover games that exist, I need this as a game now in my life.

13:25 missed opportunity, but they should’ve had the Shadow of Intent be one of the ships showing up to help so we could’ve heard that badass line from Halo 3. Elite: Various ships, staggered lines! Shipmaster! They outnumber us 3 to 1! Rtas Vadum: Then it is an even fight.

The musical cue for the Death Star is what got me first. As soon as I heard the first ping I new it.

This is cool, but they did the *Autumn* dirty. Halcyon-class cruisers are known for being insanely hard to kill. Capable of operating with only 10% hull integrity. She also carries significantly more firepower than any of the other ships. Her MAC fire in 3 round bursts with each shot having a yield of 7 gigatons, 30 megaton nuclear missiles, several dozen coilgun turrets, and thousands of non-nuclear missiles.

So, I'll explain some stuff from Mass Effect. Much like Halo, the human race is still using almost exclusively kinetic weapons, but unlike the UNSC, the Systems Alliance, the human-backed government in Mass Effect, uses gauss weapons for literally everything standard issue, from the biggest naval cannon to the smallest personal sidearm, with the individual rounds being just the size of sand grains for the personal weapons. As for the reapers, the Sovereign class ones (big boys 1.6 kilometers long or nearly triple the length bow to stern of a Galaxy-class ship and about double the mass of a Romulan D'deridex, the most common design from the TNG era) are built at a rate of one every fifty-thousand-year cycle, during which time they let civilization develop before the reapers come back and, well, reap what's grown since they left, harvesting all the technology and people they find like simple crops and livestock until there's nothing left alive that's a space-fairing sentient species. They then take the vast majority of the dominant species in that cycle and puree it into a flesh sluree, which is then used to cast the core of the new Sovereign-class reaper. The rest, including the leftovers of that dominant species and all the other people who are killed as war casualties, are then used to make a production run of the destroyer-sized reapers (the ones featured in this video). And yeah, even the reapers still use kinetics, with the "laser beams" they were shooting at the heroes were actually squirt-gun shots of molten iron, nearly hot enough to turn into an actual gas. As for why all the bad guys were working together, the reapers each put out a subliminal messaging pulse that will eventually convince people, no matter how gallant and honorable a hero they might be at the start, to eventually decide that the reapers are the greatest gift from God, Jesus, and any other higher power you can think of. This is called the indoctrination field, and it will keep working as long as even one of the most minor systems in a reaper still functions, as in Mass Effect 2, you have to board a dead reaper and salvage its IFF beacon, and you'll see that all the people there were indoctrinated to the point that they turned themselves into husks, the zombie-like basic units from the reapers which are made by putting a human adult on a retracted spire, then impaling them on that spire. As they die, that spire will then fill their body with nanotech, and turn the body into a mech, the husk I mentioned, with orders to hunt down and do the same on more people. Also, you missed the fifth universe involved in this, Doctor Who. In a post-credit scene, the Doctor covertly admits to himself that he got a little loopy during "high tea" and that all the events with the other four universes were because of the resulting DUI while operating the TARDIS.

Please include Starblazers with the Yamato and its Wave Motion Gun, Robotech with the SDF-1 and its Veritech fighters. Also if u could include Voltron, He-Man, Lions, and Battlestar Galactica with their fighters. If u could make a fan fiction or know somebody who can do it. I would love to see those ships in battle contention.

I just discovered this fan made movie yesterday so watched your reaction today. This is my reaction to your reaction lol. Initially I was a little disappointed you weren’t familiar with anything from Mass Effect. And this is probably a little pot calling kettle black from me. Because I know little of Halo. I did get the first game years ago but didn’t play it much. I’m one of those people who enjoys a lot of different Sci-fi. I’m a Star Wars fan saw all the movies in the cinema went to Star Wars Celebration. And enjoy a good bit of Star Trek. But years later it was loving Sci-fi that drew me to Mass Effect. I read a review saying ME2 was a life changing experience and bought it based on that. And it did change my life. Commander Shepherd is a legend. I became a huge fan of Mass Effect. I thought joker was well done in this film and on point. The thought of the Normandy interacting with the Enterprise and the Falcon had me so excited yesterday. And when I watched it I think I laughed and cried through most of it lol. I’m hoping this film maybe inspired you to go check out some of Mass Effect and the people who made it a huge Star Wars and Star Trek fans. They take great inspiration from both franchises. I remember at least a couple of times in the Mass Effect games some neat Star Wars references that you would definitely pick up on.

This doesn't show it well, but from pure lore perspective, Mass Effect have some seriously overpowered weapons. There's a point that you can encounter in the second game where it is stated that an Everest Class Dreadnought (standard human dreadnought) has a main gun that fires a shot with 3 times more force than the early atom bombs every 5 seconds.

If going by In Universe Tech, Mass effect is ABSOLUTLY at the bottom, they don't even have sheilds that protect against energy weapons so they would be RIPPED to shreds by everybody else except the UNSC ships. and the Reapers have basically kept the entire galaxy from evolving their tech beyond that point. REAPERS ARE FUCKING SCARY SMART.

@Kyle Katarn The Reapers here are...nothing special really. Extremely dangerous sure,but just Destroyers. Proper Reapers ,the Reaper Capital ships are more than 10x longer and immensely more powerful both offensively and defensively. 4 of those would quickly obliterate our heroes ships in head on combat. Would take out most if not any of ships seen in a single shot. Including Star Destroyers. Well Deathstar would require some work,but Deathstar's defences would fall relatively quickly. Would Deathstar's laser be able to take out Reaper Capital ships in a single shot? I hope so. As evil as Star Wars Empire is,it is nothing compared to the Reapers. Compared to Reapers, the SW Empire,are loving gentle caretakers, even when destroying worlds.

Interesting. Great video. Smallest Reapers though? There are plenty more larger ones. Plus concidering there around 18,000 of them in count, possibly hundreds of thousands more hidden in darkmatter somewhere.. But then yeah, we are not comparing entire fleets here. Understood. o7

While I would have liked to see certain things like all the hero characters actually meeting on the asteroid and why exactly all the villain faction would work together instead of immediately trying to kill each other(especially in the cases of the Reapers' and Covenant) it was still a visual marvel to watch.

It's "nobody's" Earth, or everybody's...in a sense. . It never quite gets explained in the video, but here's my take... . In the the completely broken realm within all Black Holes, exists a single "space" between them all. In that realm, because of the interactions at the event horizon and inner horizon, and the deeper interior, a kind of "quantum reflection" of this universe occurs. None of it is real, as we'd use the word, but there are a myriad of alternate realities inside that space. All the possibilities that can't happen in our reality, happen in one of the ones inside black hole space. The closer you are to the inner horizon, the more like our reality all those alternates are...but the closer to singularity they are, the more wild and impossible they become. Like an infinite number of layers of universe-sized holodecks. We don't have a multiverse ourselves, but a multiverse of sorts exists in that pseudo-space. . What has happened in this fan film, is that some event has occurred that opened a way out of that false space. And some have stumbled across that opening and fallen through into reality. Why they all ended up at Earth is anyone's guess, but I'd figure that we were doing some experiment with creating artificial black holes, and yanked them all in to nearby space. As they pass through that gap or whatever it is, the waveforms that are their reflections collapse, and they become "real". . Hypothetically, none of their tech should work here...since we don't have anything like subspace or hyperspace. But, it's a fan-film, so...we'll just skip that part for now, I think.

And of course the Enterprise Bridge/Crew were taken from the PATHETIC 'Alternate Time-line' DIARRHEA that is being SPEWED out by cbs, INSTEAD of using the REAL Star Trek created by the Late Gene Roddenberry, but I digress.
