First, A general would never be in charge of a Naval Operation or ship(s). They would be in charge of ground forces and possibly, if they still exist in a multisystem government, air force but not Naval forces. Second there isn't a lieutenant anywhere in any universe or time that would be the second in command to a general. A Lieutenant is O1, O2 at the highest. A General is O9 or at least near there. If the lieutenant was particularly dumb he would have at most 10 years in the military. He would be discharged past that as unfit for duty. I have listened to many of these stories and have come to find many have writers that are either AI written or the writers don't have any idea about the military, its rank structures, or the qualifications and training that goes into each rank as someone gets promoted into their positions. It flat out ruins a story when they talk about a commander being in charge of the entire Human fleets fighting to defend humanity from the bad aliens. A commander would be in charge of a single ship. A captain MIGHT be put in charge of a division (2-4 ships) but only as part of a larger unit like a squadron and under that squadron commanders orders and guidance. If you want to write Sci-Fi or HFY Military fiction, learn at least basic rank structures and role of the military commands you are going to be using. It isnt complicated and would only take a few hours of basic research.
Thats not what my Terran super ship "The Indomitable" is supposed to look like! We would never make something like that. Have you seen the F-22 or B-21? I'm expecting a black glass diamond that looks like the darkness pyramid from Destiny 2 and a futuristic katana shaped submarine.
So many things wrong it’s actually impressive. So many it makes you think not even AI could fail so hard. Give the author a foreign sounding name and claim AI translated it and it may feel less fail. “This is strategy, they are hitting all outpost one by one” -laterally the most basic of basic thoughtless strategies, no intelligence needed for that. “No pattern, no logic…. Just ruthless efficiency”. Oh. Ok, even the story is now mocking the story. Well played
Ai written, ai narrated, and not checked for actual quality at all. It's constantly refraining and reafiriming the same thing. Between that and the monotone, this would work better as one of those brainwashing videos with a spiral animation, if the story wasn't about smelling it's own farts and loving the smell.
