Wait a minute...the alien invaders said that the humans had 12 hours left. So we deciphered alien comms, traveled to asteroids, found ancient alien tech, deciphered that, brought it back to Earth, figured out how to intergrate it, retro fitted it to our ships, then launched a test attack...all within 12 hours. Damn...humans are bad ass

Why let the alien ships depart, they should have been totally destroyed.

Not terrible. But not that great lots of inconsistencies.
