I read Heather Cox Richardson's post on the immunity ruling, and I was near tears from the audacity of SCOTUS and the utter disregard for our Democracy.

It’s been such a SCOTUS s-show. I see people putting as priorities kindness, generosity, neighborliness, community care and building, in response to the emotion that people are collectively steeped in. I am also being very mindful of what I say and how it might land for another. A time to be very discerning and to be kind, compassionate and wise to the degree we are able. And…VOTE. I think of my grandmother’s older cousin who was a colleague of Susan B. Anthony. So many suffragettes went thru hell for women to have the right to vote, only a little over 100 years ago. Women in Oregon received the right to vote and to own real property in their own name thanks to her efforts. Only a little over 100 years ago. Not that long ago really. Not to be taken for granted.

I’m one of those marriages. This is exhausting. If it wasn’t for the spiritual community of likeminded people and my supportive spiritual team I feel surrounding me I would have lost my mind by now. Thank you, Danny! I’m getting that this is yet another thing pressuring me to acknowledge my own inner guidance, to not turn my authority over to an outside person or group. It’s like the SC ruled: “From now on, 2+2=5.” I recognize that is wrong, and I am free to ignore their ruling - which is completely made up. It is clearly contradicted by the Constitution itself. If they make up an interpretation based on nothing, it is illegitimate, and I am free to reject it, to refute it, and reclaim my own authority. Gandhi did that with both the tradition of the caste system in India, and in Britain’s rule. He simply stopped letting it be true. He stuck to his own beliefs steadfastly, and that underlying truth overcame decades of history. God bless. 🙏
