Why this sudden interest of the ndc and its media houses in the fight against galamsey?. The answer is that the last time Akuffo Addo took drastic measures to fight the menace to the extent of even burning excavators, ndc went behind the scenes to solidarise with the galamseyers and this cost Npp a fortune in the 2020 elections. Because it favoured Ndc last time that is why they are trying so hard to repeat the same scenario in 2024.This is a trap the Ndc is trying to set for Npp. You have waited all this while till 3 months to elections and all of a sudden these Ndc media houses have turned to advocates for ban on galamsey.Ndc thinks they have sense than anyone. Were we not in this country when in 2020 Mahama on his campaign tours in the galamsey endemic areas was promising to free all galamseyers that had been arrested and jailed should they vote for him?
