A few days ago we spend a nice hours in Çamlıca kulesi (we watched your video). It is very nice from you to give us good information about things in İstanbul. For us İstanbul is the most beautiful city in the world. Only bad thing is that they moved bus to airport far away from Sultanahmed. All the best. Görüşürüz

So this is Galataport. I saw this new place while going to Kabatas in the tramvay. Galataport will receive 15.000 passengers in a day? It should be good for tourism and increasing Turkey's income since the pandemic was hit. It will take 3-5 years to have all those ships and passengers with strong promotion, won't be easy. Istanbul government will prepare for incoming "happy problem" due to this attraction. IMHO. Thank you Bery for your useful information and I like your opinion for this case.

Hi bery. Thanks for this new video. We are in Turkey since 26/11/2021 and after driving to others places like Bursa, Izmir, Pamukalle, Antalya, Konya, Cappadocia and Ankara, we reached back Istanbul on 7/12/2021. After watching yr video, we decided to check Galataport tomorrow since we have covered the main attractions in Istanbul including Kulguncuk, Balat and Bebek which you have suggested in yr other videos. Keep up with sharing useful tips.

I know, I’ve been in Dubrovnik but the main touristy area in Istanbul is the size of Dubrovnik and where the cruises dock is quite chaotic already.

15000 more people! I live in Moda and just the number of people at weekends, especially if there's a football match on makes it impossible to move. I can't imagine how this will work.

Hi, very nice and informative video Could u explain though how to arrive and leave the galataport from taksim square or sultanahmet as an example. 👍🏻👍🏻
@BeryIstanbulTips
@BeryIstanbulTips 2 года назад
You can take a tram from Sultanahmet to Kabataş direction and get off in Tophane station. From taksim, you can take a finicular to Kabataş and take a tram to Tophane. Even you can walk from Taksim if you like walking.

I feel the cruise ships ruin beautiful cities. I know it’s great for the economy but that many tourists converging on a place all at once can lead to problems.
@BeryIstanbulTips
@BeryIstanbulTips 2 года назад
I so much agree with you! We have seen it in other cities receiving cruise ships, and visitors already staying in that place like us were struggling to even find places to eat at plus those ships also destroy the environment even more. Is true that the economy will be good but also bad consequences will detonate for this. Hopefully Istanbul will be able to handle and manage it properly to avoid problems in the city.

Istanbul is 3 to 4 times bigger than Dubrovnik? What are you talking about .Istanbul is 25 times bigger than Dubrovnik.Istanbul has almost 20.000.000 population .
@BeryIstanbulTips
@BeryIstanbulTips 2 года назад
It was just to give a number that at the moment of being surrounded with lots of people and was rushing to finish filming the exact number didn’t come to my mind, jeez! Relax! Dubrovnik is just as big as Beyuoglu district in Istanbul which is just a small district of this city. You understood the point, didn’t you? BIGGER, MUCH BIGGER…
