Context, I'm more focus on a buster teams because I'm preparing for Arcueid (yes, I'm playing the really long game). Thanks that Koyanskaya of Light is coming "soon" I have not been pulling that much, just when I'm stuck and, even then, I usually use 3 star servants. Right now, when it comes to supports and NP charge, I just have Hans, William, Cheng Gong, Mash, Jason, and a little more. So I was planning to pull for this class banner in the "Extra class" section, but a friend told me that it's better that I pull for Nero Bride. The thing is: - I'm a fan of stall teams, and Jeanne can be a really good acquisition for that purpose. - The Extra class banner has a small pool, and everything works for me (my only extra is Mash and Angra Mainyu). - I'm still low in good CE. Knowing that, it's worth pulling for Nero Bride? I don't have any other good support and, in the future, FGO it's gonna gift a 5 star servant (that I want to use to get Waver), so I don't know if it's worth it or I better wait. What do you think?
Galatea. A Servant that's for a time completely rollled over Vlad's existence in her debut event, only to get sided when the Devs finally gave him a proper NP Scaling
She's still stronger than Vlad in a MLB Black Grail Double Castoria Oberon comp lol. If she gets an np upgrade with zero extra damage her np2 shits over vlad np5 lol.
Skip funny pants and wait for Kriem. On the other hand I like how Vlad went from zero to hero overnight when Castoria was released and his next buff makes him even better.
I'll be honest, I've always thought the debates between Galatea vs Vlad vs Kriem and Summer Musashi vs Spishtar vs Summer Kama are fun little distractions, but ultimately pointless. At the end of the day, they all do a job and they all do it well enough that they will fill that niche in your account just fine, no matter who you want to roll for. Just pick the ones you enjoy using. Personally I enjoy the spiffy pants.
summer musashi v/s spishtar/kama is stupid for another reason: Summer Musashi is actually CQ viable with her face cards hitting hella hard under her s2, her ability to gain something like 300% charge in 1 arts card crit with her s2, her 1 hit 4 turn cd evade that synergizes disgustingly well with Castoria, her guts for when it hits the fan, and her disgusting s3 otherwise. she is a looper who can loop if needed, and perfectly viable cq unit if needed making her versatility a fair bit higher. I would never touch most CQ's with spishtar, so in this case I would only be comparing her to Kama who has some CC, a better evade with a worse cooldown that still synergizes well with castoria, no guts, and better np damage with worse face card damage in most cases. Spishtars main gimmick is options, you can loop her in 3 different parties so if you only got the quicks, no problem if you love buster, you good. they really each have their own merits and demerits that set them apart from each other outside of the narrow scope of just arts looping.
One more issue thats not more "immediately" noticeable but DOES come up, is the fact that Galatea's deck has only a single arts card. This may not sound like much on the surface, but this does mean that for challenging content where you are not just killing the enemy in few turns, you run the slowly increasing risk of opening a hand that cannot arts chain, which depending on the current state, can leave you vulnerable, whether it be you left with not enough meter to utilize say... Castoria's NP to protect yourself against an incoming AOE NP, or giving your enemy more turns of the fight where they could just kill your servant. They really just set up this servant to fail didn't they...
@@HellecticMojo That would be valid if her competition, aka Vlad and Kriemhild, did NOT come with 2 Arts cards, but they do. Like they had a template with Vlad, and hell even Nightingale. But they suddenly decided Galatea is where they hard focus a buster deck. the deck mismatch is why I think her buff specifically aimed to correct it, because atleast now even in arts comps if you have no choice but to press her buster card, you MIGHT get a return. (Doesn't change the loss of 20% Arts to everyone in the chain, but its something. Unless you have this issue when skills are on CD)
One idea I saw brought up elsewhere is running her with double KoyanLight to really amp up the NP gain on her triple buster cards. Still a trade-off of weaker NP's, but might be a more reliable way to loop than relying on that single arts card.
Galatea is split between two worlds: She is a triple buster berserker with an Arts NP, which means if you go Castoria, her NP will hit hard but she will still have vanilla berserker face card damage. If you go Koyanskaya route, she will murder the opposition with triple buster sweetness, but her NP will still be the usual scaling. While freedom of choice is good, you just come short at both because if you go Arts NP damage, you just forego her triple buster, and vice versa.
Unfortunate because Summer Skadi is the Quick-Buster combo support, but there isn't a arts-buster combo supporter other than I guess Chiron (rainbow buff and crit). You really do decide NP or facecards, not both.
Kriemhild has been the Arts ST Berserker I've been waiting to get for a while. She's just that good, especially with the fact that she removes all defensive skills before attacking with her NP paired with very solid skill set just makes her ridiculously good for a 4 star Berserker.
This video is much clearer than other videos on the pros of Galatea and she is very appealing to me since I’m a new player, so I don’t have vlad, she’s a waifu, I really need a berserker so I can get Mebd on ticket cause I also need a good rider, looping is kinda fun, uh pretty defensive something didn’t listen, and I’ve never lost a 50/50 so not getting Vlad lol, swear down actually not lying, and my account is only waifu and sabers kinda not by choice
Fino is definitely a bit harsh here. When you put it in perspective, the mere fact that you could even compare Galatea to post-buff Vlad and Kriem means she's one of the best ST DPS servants in the game, and you will get a ton of use out of her if you don't have Vlad or Kriem. She's a great roll if you like her and you need the niche covered.
I have her at lvl 100 in my NA account. She had helped me so much i kinda wish they would introduce a pygmalion servant so she can have her happy ending cause man the events ending was so unsatisfying.
Idk man, seems like all that defensive utility gives her some niches other than "Vlad but worse." That buff removal resist alone counters my number one least favorite enemy mechanic in challenge content. The thing preventing ME from rolling on her is that she shares a banner with Nero Bride, who I want even more.
He’s just saying that there are more sensible reasons to invest in Vlad in the bigger scheme of things. Defensive utility? Don’t we have supports for that? As much as I didn’t want to like Vlad they gave him 4 buffs. The only other servant with that kind of come up is Tesla
In practice on my JP account, I still used her as my primary ST damage dealer long after I got Koyan (basically until Kriemhild), so she was worth a couple multis in NA. I don't have or like Vlad though, and Kriemhild is *over a year away*.
I've been waiting to roll for Galatea for a while, saving massively after getting NP2 Muramasa with only 80SQ. I think everyone is way too focused on the meta, getting the absolute optimal servants in arts, buster or crit. But she breaks the meta, excelling as both a buster and arts dps, and even brings incredible utility to the table. There are so many interesting team comps you can fit her into ranging from double Castoria to Reines to Himiko, etc. For me, she seems way more interesting and fun to use than either Vlad or Kriemhild, and also more potential going into the future with buffs.
Personally i like Galatea for being one of the extremely few zerkers who doesn't have to be babysat with tons of Taunt fodder and/or nonstop team invul spam to survive.
6:03 That's me. My only 5 stars Zerker was friggin' Nightingale, so she definetly fills an empty role in my team (especially since I've Tammy and Castertoria)
It sucks because I did five tickets to get CEs because I got vlad when the game first came up but I got her somehow and only one 4 star CE! Well I guess I can use her for a bit of making the tower a bit streamlined
Got her in 30 rolls, barely any CE's for the event. Now I have both Vlad and her at NP1, meaning neither really has a nuke advantage, but now I can save the rest of my rolls for LB6 because I have every mat to max out both Morgan and Koyan of Light. Part of me wants to NP2 Galatea, but it's a trap, I can feel it in my wallet.
Both zerk can spook if your get extremely lucky you can get a copy on youre future rolls. Might as well save up for the good supports coming soon for na instead of wasting SQ on non-limited servants that you might not even need.

I rolled for her and didn't get her. I got Liz, which is something, but I am hoping to get all my bad luck out of the way before the Summer banners come along.
I actually love her Design (not the Base Design tho). But do I need her? I mean, I already have many ST Berserkers... like Ecchan, Nyalter, Ibaraki, Beowulf, Achilleshater and even Nightingale... I swear I am oversaturated with Serks.
I actually tried to summon her because I really adored how adorable and cute she was even when she dress sexy, just used 30 tickets and 60 SQ before leaving and well expecting her to return... only to find out that she was, indeed, not a limited servant :D Well Lobo is home at least
I will say, she's only a buff or two away from being right up there with Vlad and Kriem. But yeah, for the next couple of years at least she isn't a necessary pull unless you're trying to complete the Greek Mythology set.

I couldn’t in good conscience recommend Kriemhild because of her skill mats. I wouldn’t grind that much just to fill a couple of niches. She’s one of those servants that, unless you’re like Touhou Sniper and you have nothing else to do then go for it. If not, you got bigger fish to fry
This is one of the things i don't see much on fgo servant reviews. Mats farming is so important like i get if you put enough effort you might get to max their skills months after you got the servant unless you already have the mats for them. but not everyone is drowning in mats and we all know farming outside of events is not really worth the time and AP wasted. Of the three Kriem the fourstar is somehow the hardest to max out if you don't already have the mats for her and shes not even that useful outside her niche. This video is kind of a miss for me.
When I first saw her I was like "wow she looks like a low effort Humida girl" when I look up her artist my sides went nuclear. Still kinda want her though.
She got released on the worst Year and Months lol What's coming up next is a bunch of Monster again and again. Next is Merlin (for those who still doesn't have him), Morgan, Melusine, Koyanskaya, Oberon, Summer Events 😂 And before her is also a bunch of Broken Servants like Spishtar, Taira, Muramasa. People doesn't have a Quarts left or doesn't want to waste it on her Banner.
Kriemhild is the primary reason I was gonna pass on Galatea. Seemed more reasonable to get NP levels on so long as you save for the banners, and to reunite Sumanai with his screamy gothic wife. Little more appealing than miss Big Pant.
Hilarious and unfortunate that she's not even given a month to breathe and forge her own identity before her other GENPOOL 5* competition (the only other one at that) gets an NP upgrade that effectively slots him into the proper upgraded NP gang, where they both would've otherwise shared the standard ST formula. Her skillset's far more awkward than his too imo, they tried to damage control it with that skill buff but it really doesn't solve anything for her in the kind of scenarios you'd use her on. She could've swapped one Buster for one Arts card and she'd be in a much better spot, but no, let's give that to the 4* ST Zerker powercreeping them both instead.

one note about Kriems NP. she removes ONE defensive buff, probably the latest applied. so dont expect her NP to fully strip enemies. thats more of a roland thing
No, Kriem NP removes ALL defensive buffs from ONE enemy, not one defensive buff. But either way it still doesn't matter since that effect is completely useless nowaday, because every boss now all has unremovable buffs
Honestly after playing both, they perfom remarkably similar. There is deffinitly some difference, with vlad getting the advantage in dmg, while Tea has better sustain and cq performance. The difference is mostly negible, if 1 can work 95% of the time the other can de the same work. Again this is all subjective and personal experience based
Nah, Galatea > Vlad easily, she's underrated while Vlad is overrated, he powercreeps no one. Even after his NP buff and stacking multiple of his Arts resist down, at max stack on turn 3 he'd only deal ~10% more damage than Galatea against a single boss with a 2xCastoria setup, but if you use atleast 1 Castoria NP during that, which you will always, the gap become ~5%, which is basically the same, not to mention Galatea damage are guaranteed since they're all buffs, while Vlad debuffs can miss, and his damage would be worse, and these damage are calculated in realistic scenario aka in team with supports, not just base on that garbage NP damage chart that is useless for anything but solo. Vlad star bomb is also irrelevant since he has no absorb, and his 10% bigger battery are the only things he has on Galatea, which are mostly negligible, cuz she smokes him in everything else. When it comes to fighting boss, which is what ST mainly used for, Galatea completely steamrolls Vlad. Her massive defense makes her the most durable ST berserker, with a guts on top so she's much safer to use. Her buff removal resist is extremely rare and super handy since it's the most annoying thing about bosses, so when Vlad needs another support for it, Galatea can use a better one since she already has it, makes her much more flexible. Her AoE buff cleanse for 3 turns is also super useful since it last to turn 4, making the entire team very safe from debuffs, especially against drain boss that makes Castoria harder to NP. Even with triple buster deck she can gain very decently, if not better than Vlad since everyone knows his cards are terrible. She's also compatible with Vitch for a buster crit playstyle, who can make her gain 30% battery for each buster card, this is when crit matters, unlike Vlad's useless star bomb. And that's not to mention her NP, while Vlad is known for his NP looping, Galatea NP can refund even BETTER, and since her NP drain is tied to this, she can effectively lock a boss from NP by looping and draining them every turn, unlike Vlad only has 1 drain in his skill. The better looping NP also makes her comparable to Vlad in farming, if not better since she easily outdamages him in this case due to her ramping NP damage, especially with Oberon. So overall she is just way better than Vlad most of the time if you actually look at them and not just blindly follow other people opinions, especially in cq since her utilities and durability make her the safest berserker to pick. As for Kriem, she's mostly a sidegrade to Vlad, with noticeably worse damage but higher ceiling depend on niche and a bigger battery, that's it. Her buff removal is essentially USELESS nowaday, it might as well doesn't exist since no half decent boss today wouldn't have unremovable buffs.
From my experience, I just slap George onto the team with Kriemhild and any problem that I have with damage go away, it's also helped that George is an universally good servant. As for case of unremovable buff, I usually see the damage one and the gut one more than the defense one for the fight that I should bring her instead of someone in my roster that is either full class advantage or at the very least isn't fragile like a Berserker, not to mention even with box buff the emeny can still spamming defensive skill or use it by NP.
