I personally feel like the wedding process is a personal thing. What you and your partner wants I the correct thing. I can't come and say you're wrong for doing things a certain way, that's not my love story to tell. Its beautiful that Martin loves you loudly, and wants it to be known that he is married. He said "I feel like people don't believe me when I tell them I'm married..." Sis, that's special, most men make women walk around with an engagement ring for 10 years, no lobola and they just a waste of time. Go buy that man a ring, surprise him with breakfast and just put the ring on his dish on the side something like "as long as you're happy, I'll always says yes to you". Then go shopping together for the actual wedding bands. I think sometimes we take away the enjoyment of the wedding process for the husband, this husband is intentional not only about you but also about enjoying the process and being a part of it. My husband proposed and then paid lobola, it wasn’t dreamy but to me it was sentimental. He got a ring 2 years later because I felt he can’t go around without a ring knowing he’s traditionally married. For me it makes sense to have both of us wear bands even without the “big white wedding”.

I’ve been married for 12 years, I think because Martin wants a ring now, maybe do consider to go to Home affairs and make it official there before the white wedding then he can wear his ring. It’s not usually a norm to get the ring first before the wedding so rather go to home affairs.

He didn't wear a ring the whole year then we got married last year on the 23rd of December that's when he started wearing a ring. All the best Lebonza🤗❤️. My husband wanted a ring before the wedding too so after the Lobola we went to sign 3 months before the wedding. I didn't want to make him feel some typa way cause I also got things my way like proposal first then lobola so I gave his excitement a chance too❤️
I agree with you Thati. That’s how we did it as well. My hubby paid lobola, then I got my engagement ring and had my wedding ring at the wedding which was a wedding band to add to my engagement ring. Hubby then got his ring on his wedding ring (we chose it together). But I think since Martin wants a ring. Maybe get him those black rings that guys wear or any affordable ring and he will get another one on his wedding day.
