You're so awesome! I have spent the day trying to figure out how to reset my son's phone because he forgot his lock screen pin. As you already know, I've had no luck at all. It crossed my mind to take the battery out, but I was afraid I'd tear it up. Then I found your video 🙂 Out of all these videos you were the ONLY one who actually seemed to have an actual "Forgotten Password" issue therefore making it possible for you to create this very helpful video. For that I thank you! Sorry so Long
Even better. Instead of opening the phone, Let the phone battery dies, it will swtch off. Then power to restart by pressing the combination to factory reset. It works.
Yes, the following tutorial is showing how to do a factory restore (which deletes everything from the phone), if your data (pictures, videos, contact etc) was previously back up using a email, then it should be able to be recovered. If nothing was backed up, then yes you would lose all information on the device.
I dont want to factory restor someone at home some how got in it and changed my password it was don to my iphon as well they swear it wasnt her 🙄 what can I do I dont want to wip it out cuse she also has all my info so i change all my Google passwords and still someone manages to change them wth pls help what is ging on I kno in not losen my mind!!!
Did you actually shut it off? It appears like it may still have been on... All other comments indicated this worked and no problems... Check your phone model... It could be the Samsung A 01 "CORE" phone...
This is great and thank you!!! But I have to say it is possible woth out battery removal. I literally just got done doing it to my GF phone. Battery not dead and not more than 50%. Screen on but locked. Press and hold volume down and power. Phone goes off. Immediately press and hold up and power. Phone will come back on and enter safe mode or what ever it’s called. There u can reset and then reboot.
@@erichvonmanstein6876 just because you can’t get it right doesn’t mean that I didn’t do it or that I did not have success. I know for a fact that what I wrote works the way I said it does because I did it just because you can’t replicate those actions does not mean it doesn’t work it means it doesn’t work for you or you couldn’t get it right.
It just worked for me. Thank you - I'm activating a phone for a friend - he left it with me and once I sat down to get it activated and set up, I saw that it had a pattern lock. Not wanting to walk all the way to his house, I searched until I found this. I wasn't comfortable taking the phone apart, so thank you.
My friend, I have the same phone and the power button stop working, ... I turned the phone off and now I cannot turn it on because of the power button, ... Do you what could I do ?, thanks
