Nah. The 2nd Battle of Terra was Custodes, Grey Knights and Sisters of Silence kicking serious Khorne ass when he tried to breach the imperial palace sending his 88 demon cohorts. The Custodes lost half their numbers deployed but the Chaos host got totaly annihilated.

I really enjoyed the background music... and I really wanted to enjoy The Emperors statement at the start, but, it just didn't match up, the speech was too fast.. all of the chaplain bits don't match up (which I get lore wise, walking through the warp and such) .. I just feel that the music is really good but doesn't match up with the orchestra.

wow a lot of grey knight quotes in the mouths of people who really shouldn't know anything about them but them again most soldier of the imperium whether they be arbities, guardsmen, or space marines see themselves merely as tools for the "god" emperor oh and P.S. neither was I.
Imperator Morituri Te Salutant - Sorry, I thought the angels of death (Adeptes Astartes) were were meant to know no fear in battle? Surely the concept (EMPEROR! We Who Are About To Die Salute You!) Is alien to the Astartes?
+Matthew Brown The sense of life for the AA is fight and only future for them is death in glory. So sentence "Morituri Te Salutant" used here probably means that they are about to die in glory, fighting, becouse that is only sense of their lives. They are no longer humans, they can only feel pleasure when they are fighting. They are formaly dead from the moment of their recruitment (like on Fenris), so they have nothing to loose. They are about to die sooner or later, but they are, becouse they are made for war and only in death does duty end. They know that every battle can be their last, like every another day, so they are ready to die with sword/bolter in hand.
Here an idea, maybe the Legion of the Damn are really loyalist Space Marines who have died... The Emperor was so impressed he saved their souls from the warp and uses them now. What do you think?
this does technically make the legion of the damned the "Daemons" of the Imperium if they are a result of the Emperor's will and on the same logic it makes Living Saints, Greater Daemons of the imperium.
You see I've been cooking up a theory. Chaos doesn't play sides it's almost like it is a product of it's environment. Where the deep dark thoughts and dreams of humanity spawns a ton of daemons. Is it not possible for the un-educated masses of the Imperium, who never seeing a Space Marine themselves, to think and dream up projections of Astartes into the warp? I think the Legion are Imperial loyal daemons who were born from the thoughts and dreams of loyal Imperial citizens.

I'd say Legion of the Damned. The armor doesn't look like Chaos, and there are dead Daemons at their feet. Plus the song is about Loyalist Marines, not Traitor Legionaries.
