@Epic Pro X That isn't the point of this test. This test is to see how the note 20 fairs with these controlled drops. Your copy pasting this under all the comments isn't gonna change the fact that the Note 20 did a crazy good job.
@Epic Pro X iPhone is using their own "blend" of glass. Still made by Corning though. I don't see any issue here. Just wait for the iPhone 12 drop test by this same channel then?
BloodyScept This doesnt even make sense if both of them would use the same glas 😂 I mean its not custom designed by samsung. its just cornings gorilla glas
@@Zaid-rv5wy big screens also have more surface area. Can effect it like if ur breaking a pencil, full pencils are easy and but once u get down to 4ths or so it gets nearly impossible
@@matthewsantibanez38 Welp the 1st iPhone (2007) was released 2 years before the 1st Samsung Galaxy came out (2009), so it only makes sense to compare a 2020 Samsung to a 2019 iPhone, since Samsung is going to always be playing catch-up to Apple.
It still is the latest from Apple. Things might change on the iPhone 12, but currently this is what it looks like. (with these two particular units off. Your results may vary)
@@antongebel1728 Apple uses gorilla glass, they just use a different name to make people believe they use some different special glass made by Apple. Same thing with stuff like "liquid retina display" which is just used to mask the fact that it's a shitty LCD panel. Apple in nutshell.
@Epic Pro X Boo-hoo go cry elsewhere. They'll do the test with iPhone 12 too, with same results no doubt. People just want to see how durable the new glass is on Note20 and this test shows just that.
The note 20 ultra did not crack at all on the front, not even on the bonus round like what the actual frick. This is the first phone on this channel that did not crack on the the front at all. JUST WOW. Thanks for the likes 😄 this is the most ive ever gotten, thanks! Wtf 666 likes!
@Ghotyo Locanisyn youre right. i just watched another video similar comparison and it cracked on first hit, whilst the iphone lasted alittle longer. but in the end the galaxy had less shatters. so yes the galaxy is overall stronger but it doesnt mean it wouldnt crack on first hit. thats more about luck.
This test was in a controlled labratory or what ever you're suposed to say. So it could explain why it didnt crack? Since there was no dirt or sharp surfaces where the note was dropped on.
@@sondrejohansen48 An year ago, Same year released Note 10+ (Actually its month older than iPhone 11) stands against the phone they called 'worlds 1st toughest/durable glass phone', that completely shattered back on 1st drop. Shame on you apple for trolling people by saying bullshits!
@@mouadtalbi4170 Well, actually any material in the universe will break no matter how strong it is when a force higher than their resistance is applied. In this case, we have a very strong glass, that's it.
@Epic Pro X At least you can respect Samsung telling the truth when they say they're using stronger glass unlike Apple with their bullshit market speeches.
As an owner of samsung i can guarantee its true im so clumsy like i dropped my phone on the face at least once a week but no crack whatsoever like nokia would be so proud
My phone Samusung J6 2018 I dropped it all the time, not a single scratch on fron glass Back has some scratch but those are from coins I held in my phone case Very good indeed
Nah the outcome is always unpredictable. For example: It took only one drop to break the glas: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rp9Ehqb_dGo.html
4:56 I was so impressed that swear to God I thought he's gonna say: "and what's interesting is the rear glass's initial cracks have started to heal themselves. "
They will, soon in future. Already certain materials with self-healing properties have been created by scientists. We will see them in these kinds of devices.
@@deadlybladesmith3093 Are you worried about iPhone 12's ceramic glass that may be stronger than Gorilla Glass Victus? Has to not crack at all to beat the Note20 Ultra, and with the 3D glass back I doubt it
Wdym they always have been the only thing good on apple is the camera. That's the reason why most girls get it🤡🥱 plus isnt samsung a Korean company. Korea is way ahead of us in technology so like.
”Over the years, Apple has invested handsomely in their glass supplier Corning. Apple awarded Corning $200 million in May 2017 and again in 2019 with a $250 million investment.” www.patentlyapple.com/patently-apple/2020/07/apples-iphone-12-to-include-cornings-next-generation-gorilla-glass-called-victus-with-superior-scratch-drop-performance.html
@Epic Pro X what he's saying is at the time Apple claimed the phone's glass was very durable when in fact it's slightly more than average. Strangely enough it's always about the angle the phone hits the ground. I've seen people's phone crack from knee height.
I think the new glass is always better than the previous one, but the manufacturer could reduce the thickness, or the difference isn't so drastic as to surpass the threshold of cracking. Asphalt is a very hard material, after all.
@Epic Pro X shut up lol. Apple says that every year and fails every year. I bet Gorilla Glass 6 which came before iPhone 11 series will still do better and have actually done better in phones like S20. iSheeps never fail to impress.
@@claudiu4674 it doesn't matter, clown cause Gorilla glass 6 was launched in 2018 and Apple claimed to be using the strongest glass in smartphones in late 2019 but the gorilla glass 6 used in Note 10 and S20 line-up still did better than the newer glass in iPhones.
@@yuvrajkumar2048 They seek it so overpriced for what a camera😂. In android we have gaming phones table phones flip phones. Fast phones phones with the ram of a computer. Like android in general is way better
Apple: We have the strongest glass ever in a smartphone! Samsung: No, WE do! Apple: Wait, what? Apple: *watches this video* Apple: Oh. Samsung: I told you!
@@ninjabaconpro144 Capable if what? Buying one more stuff from a different brand? How lame that statment is to defend apple. Apple didn't even make OLED, they use Samsung screens and they are not capable doing that on their own, infact most of the stuff they use are made by a different company, like nvme, wifi card, modems etc
NinjaBacon Pro the design plays a major part to , apples designs are more ergonomic but not meant for so much durability, but apples one is ok , they trade durability for comfort , it always feel like a good fit holding a iphone
Drops on flat surfaces don't generally break the note 20s glass. But if you drop it on the edge of something with a small point of impact on the glass. That would break any phone
You are subscribed to samsung and android and you are saying that you use an iphone. And why the hell are you going to spend another grand on a phone that came out just after a year after you have brought a 1000 dollar phone. Don't be nuts.
The back of the iPhone was completely broken after the very first drop, why in the hell did it still get 8 points?!? And the front of the iPhone also completely broke & lost functionality after the first front drop, why did it still get 6 points? If it completely breaks, it should get 0 points. And the Note 20 went all 10 bonus rounds, without a scratch, & it got 0 extra points for that. Talk about a completely flawed test & scoring system.
I've used samsung almost my whole teenhood and I've sat on it,dropped heavy stuff on top of it and still doesn't break I've had my phone for a few years now and the screen is still perfectly fine.
Iphone doesn’t have iphone 9, so why are u comparing s10 with iphone 10 and s20 with iphone11, when u should compare s10 with iphone 11 and s20 with iphone 12
