I liked your video very much because you did not rush through things so quickly there was no way to allow the information to register. I still need to watch it twice but that goes without saying anyway. Thanks for the great paced video.
This guy really know what he is saying, he is one of the best RU-vidrs; he teaches so in-depth so that when you finish watching his video it is so easy for you decide. Please keep up the good work my friend, and I like watching your videos, because you do it like no other.
Thank you so much for this! I've had this phone since it came out and have taken beautiful photos people thought at first glance were from the internet. Unfortunately, I've never felt I was able to fully utilize this camera's capabilities. This is very helpful!
Run Rock could you share some more picz cus I am confused about the color..you know these images are so clicked at so much higher resolution... My email id is kushwah.rajat@gmail.com
I ordered mines from Verizon they only have two colors in the U.S. at Launch midnight black and orchard gray I liked the gray because I always get black phones it looks different in certain lighting
Saki, thank you so much for this video. I just bought my Note 8 and was struggling to understand what I could do with the camera - you are very clear and speak in layman's terms so folks like me can learn. Congratulations.
Great tutorial. I haven't had much time to dig into my Note 8 camera and you helped a lot! Very intuitive, straight forward yet detailed and, informative! I recently discovered your videos when I bought my Note 8 almost a month ago.
Thankyou, I just got a new to me note 8 - first day we saw a white deer in a local field -we stopped I hadn't even used the camera yet. Managed to get video, but I knew I had to learn how this all worked -had I known then my pics and videos would've been better. Thank you, now I just have to play around with the settings.
You're an excellent teacher. You cover the most salient points of the Note 8. Coming out from years of prepaid LG, and switching to Note8, I find the S Pen and Camera features very intimidating. Your tutorial gave me the most important basics to expand its features on my own. Please don't get tired teaching us low techies. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
You are my tech guru, you are awesome and with all your tips and tricks you make me awesome in with my gadgets. Thank you so much !! Yes, I am following you.
Great video. One thing to point about about using manual focus in pro mode is that it offers "focus peaking" which highlights edges of in-focus subjects. This is a wonderful feature that helps with manual focusing quite a bit!
Hi Great vid, just wanted to point out that if you do a full screen view for rear camera it changes the quality and size of image. It goes from 4:3 (12M) to 18.5:9 (7.9M)
Hi, SAKITECH does manual mode extends to the secondary camera or is limited to only primary camera? When in low light scenario does zooming to 2x shifts to 2nd lens or is done digitally like iphone or op5
I appreciate this vid Saki, well needed for this pro-wanna-be photographer. I will definitely be practicing on my photography skills with confidence now.
Hi saki , great video but what do you do with the gif settings , not tried thay one out yet , would love to make a gif but don't know where you start, do you use a picture or bits of video ?
Your information is wrong. Tapping on 2x does not switch to secondary camera. It simply zooms in on the primary one. The only way to use the secondary camera is when taking a "live focus" shot. You can check for yourself. Place your finger over the secondary camera then tap 2x, you'll notice the camera zoom in but not change cameras. Now, while still coverering the secondary lens, tap live focus, you'll notice the camera switch because the image is blocked by your finger.
Mic Rose Hmm, interesting. It seems to prefer main camera zoom in low light and telephoto camera in good light condition. Because sometimes, it shoots on main, sometimes on telephoto (finger over main).
I realized the same by recognising the exif settings on photos that are 2x zoomed, they have F1.7 which is weird, but I found out that tele lens only works when you have good lighting conditions otherwise the main lens will digitally zoom in 2x.
When i swipe left to right (on note 8) when camera is opened it doesn't give me the options like yours...it usee to. Is there a setting to get that back. I want to take panoramic pics like i used to but now i cant
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 pre-orders have topped any previous Note smartphone, Samsung announced today, a major coup considering the year the company has had, plus the fact a significant contender is right around the corner: the iPhone 8. While Samsung didn't reveal exact presale numbers, it said more people in the US bought the Note 8 than any previous model during the same time period. Pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 8 went live in the US on August 24, and the phone is set to hit store shelves in the US and UK on September 15
Fahredin Paloja everyone one was all scared when the note 7 went down that Samsung was done no one has faith in this company but im really happy its getting so much traction.
You forgot to mention about the slide to zoom feature with the shutter button. It gives camcorder like control to the videos that you are recording. Absolutely great feature.
I want to point that if you full screen the camera, it automatically lowers the megapixels in the options to fit that ratio. It might look good on your phone but it might be best to keep a 16:9 aspect ratio with better megapixels if you plan on watching on a screen higher than 1080p, like a good tv or computer monitor.
Thiago C. The screen settings will not apply to the video or picture your taking. It changes from whatever you have to a 4032x1960 resolution picture but video seems to stay 3840x2160. This is with my note 8 at least. Basically video should be fine but photos will be kinda widescreen looking on a standard 16x9 screen
