It's not cool it's stupid. They are just pre-recorded dialogue being repeated as they move. The best interactions are with the actors that actually act. Like Gaston! NOBODY INTERACTS WITH THE TOURISTS LIKE GASTON!

It's his mask. Looks too big, and poorly made. The robes themselves are pretty legit looking, although without ben swolo under them, they look a little too loose.

The consistency is unreal. I don't know how they keep up their characters, and keep it entertaining. They improvise so much too, every little mistake gets caught but they role with it so seamlessly.

Lobot and Ugnaughts walking around, even Ewoks! And what they did with Hondo, they should do something like that with Yoda! And I’d really love an exact replica of the Mos Eisley Cantina, I’d probably sit there all day lol

I wish there was a larger variety of cast members walking around, like aliens (Twi'leks. I want Twi'leks), smugglers, and Resistance/First Order members. Since Kylo Ren doesn't really stop for pictures and Rey seems to be focused on kids, if there were a couple more flavor actors around to chat with and do photo-ops it would totally sell it for me. I'd really want a picture with some cool-looking Star Wars people, even if they're not named characters.

I don't think you understand the concept of Batuu or the difficulty in the other characters. Twi'leks are an immense amount of makeup and prosthetics and work. They can't do that every day the park is open. Other characters like First Order officers are available and do walk around the area. Hondo was at Orlando and will come to Anaheim soon. As for Rey and Kylo, they do stop for photos, you just need to know how to ask and not assume they will stop just because you hold up a phone for a selfie. They are supposed to be constantly on the move for the interaction with guests and the land, it's the immersive experience and selfies aren't what a theme park is about.

Anyone know how the dialogue works? Looking closer it seems like the dialogue is somehow triggered by their motions?? I only heard the same lines repeated a couple times but it’s clearly not the actor speaking through a speaker or voice changer

They are talking with a voice mixer

@@thedatroxde They can't be, the lines are always the same and always require physical actions before the dialog is spoken. The trooper always has his weapon pointing up when talking and Kylo uses hand gestures. They get it wrong and don't make sense for humans being able to talk. Edit: bit of research and they have touch sensitive buttons, troopers have them in the blaster grip and Kylo has them in his finger tips (touching them to his thumb activates responses)
