Samsung is getting worse and worse, I mean you can say that they did not upgrade almost anything except the camera and display they did not add any good features like last year's under-screen scunner just an upgrade of old ones. Also, it is ugly and not ergonomic and the design of the back part is partly stolen from iPhone and Samsung was the only phone which had its own look which you could even see in a huge crowd but now all the phones are the same. I don't know what about you but I think that Samsung is slowly becoming like apple and because of that, I am already scared of updating the operating system, after last two updates they have removed the function of the motion effect, I know it's not a big function but still it was a cool function.
@@cassijoanna just got an S10 plus amazing phone indeed, id say that performance on none snapdragon version could be a little better but ahh... it's still amazing, if you would ROOT it, you could get 84hz soo it isn't bad at all
I had the s7 edge. Great phone, would probably still have it if I didn't annihilate it. Imma stick with my s10 for at least another year or two. Hopefully by then there will be a major change in design. Or something 🤷♂️
I watch this over and over once every few days because this safeguards me from getting brainwashed into upgrading from my already beautiful S10 Plus. Thanks Saki.
I just got my note 10+ 3 months ago and love it I was going to get the s20 ultra but I'll wait again for the next note to come along with a few more benefits 😇😇😇😇 As it does 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
After watching this, I too will be sticking to my S10+ and wait for the series after the S20+/ultra. Thanks Saki for this indept review of the 3 models 🙏🏾
Yes really, the s20 itself is a great quality phone but I couldn't get over the downgraded speakers, I returned it, im an audiophile so these things matter to me.
Appelsinan because I use the 1TB for saving videos lecture. Right now They are around 400 GB. Just check the market : is there any phone that has 1TB internal storage other than Samsung!!!
S10 plus...still good...the feature still complete. Before it...i wanna buy s20 for my daily phone...but after i know s20 series dont have jack audio...i buy s10 plus 1 tb. The price almost same...s10 plus 1 tb and s20 plus.
They should KEEP the earphone jack and the Bixby button. Not everyone has bluetooth earphones available all the time. If they are available they may not always be charged. Wired buds are always ready for use even as a backup. Also the bixby button can be programmed for other quick launch purposes. Similar to the the palm having a programmable "smart button". Very useful!
I got an s10 and love almost everything but the size, I should have gone bigger otherwise it's only really a worth the upgrade for s8 users and below in my opinion
Thank you! This is the review I needed. I also have the S10+ with 512 GB. As an artist the camera is so important to me. You have helped me make up my mind! I appreciate your candor very much!
0:08 He doesn't really have the Ultra, its probably a A series device. The space zoom is missing. I don't think he has any of the s20's which is why he doesn't turn them on
A good point that I thought I should mention: when you use the 120hz, you're going to notice it and like it at first but once you use the phone for longer than a week, you're going to get used to it and not going to notice it at all. Maybe it's best to stay at 60hz and save some battery life!
I am still having my S8 Plus. It's been 3 years and I still love my phone. It is one of the best I have owned. I have skipped 9 and 10. Will wait until the Note 20 also released to see. By that time the prices will be a little less for these phones.
@@CrimsonSlayer7 I have a Note 8 right now, but I would like the S10+. Not the S20. I don't like that design. But the color of those blue galaxy buds with the Prism White S10+ is a match made in heaven. Like Lebron and AD. Go Lakers!
@@keithpalacios9417 Don't like the design? The only design changes that were made are that now the front camera was moved to the middle and the back cameras are now arranged vertically Besides that it just got better.. The screen is less curved, the display got bigger and the front punch hole camera is now smaller.
Thank you for this review, it made things crystal clear for me. Although Samsung's upgrade promo is enticing, I'm sticking w/my S10+ after watching this.
One thing that you dont mention which is VERY IMPORTANT is the network 4g connectivity.. carrier agregation.. Download and upload speed.. On paper vs real life. This is very much like buying the fastest internet hardware... If you have a phone that downloads at 500mbps vs one that downloads at 900mbps that is VERY IMPORTANT.. i would rather pay extra for the fastest modem with additional multiple call aggregation and mimo antennas. If i buy a 1Gb connection... I would want to use 1Gb hardware... No point wanting 1Gb but only have hardware capable of 700Mb. Thats why this is important to end users even if they dont know it. This can be shown by doing a speed test in real time using all 3 phones at the same time then seperate.. factory defaults.. Clean install.. And show download and upload speeds on what the hardware can perform.
@@vanshmittal3395 design of the phone, 12 gb of RAM, alot better cameras, the size of it, 120 refresh rate.... there's a lot of things that make this one better.
Thank you so much. I have watched review after review to decide. You made it very clear. I will wait. No use spending that kind of money when my S10± works perfectly and is paid off!
I'm staying with my S10+. I use my headphones every night before I go to sleep, so the jack is important to me. Hope they bring it back with the new series.
Thanks for the comparison. I have the S10+. Love it, but I also love a good camera which is important to me. But for now, for that Ultra price, I'll wait a little longer and stay with my S10+
🖤 Your videos! Your bottom line-SPOT ON! I have the S9, and MY never logical upgrade will be the S10 or S10+! Wherever I go, my backpack: Nikon DSLRS with lenses, batteries, and tripod are ALWAYS with me! Phone cameras have come A LONG WAY, but they can never outshoot a proper DSLR-they weren't designed for those types of Missions! GREAT job on ANOTHER SMASHING! video! 👍
HELLO MR. ADIBEE88! GREAT ANSWER! TELEPHONES AREN'T MEANT TO TAKE THE PLACE OF EXPENSIVE CAMERAS! THE GLASS IN A CAMERA SHOULD ALWAYS BE BETTER,THAN THE PHONES ON A MARKET! THE IPHONE WITH IT BEING BRED IN AMERICA,IS THE ONLY PHONE BESIDES THE EXYNOS S7 & S7 EDGE THAT WILL COMPETE,WITH TODAYS TOP CAMERAS! OTHER THAN THAT,FORGET IT! THE PRICEY CAMERA WILL RULE! @@earlknightjr.6161 AMEN Sir! Too many phone users I've encountered FALSELY think they may replicate my DSLR shots, with their Phone cameras! Even though I'm considered a Newbie to the Fötögrafē world, I have grasped concepts quickly, and I've constructed above-average shots!😉 I do AGREE with you, certain phones produce good Fōtō results. We both know there are limitations. My S9 has made really nice night long exposure shots, but anything past 10" shutter speed ISN'T happening because that's the cutoff. I can't make day long exposure shots-no ND filter placement or shutter speed past 10". Lol I think phone cameras allow Fōtō creativity, just not on OUR level of shooting! 😉👍
The last two years were spent with the Galaxy Note FE. For a few days I have a Galaxy s10+ and the difference is seen. After the launch of the new phones, I remain at S10+👍
Heyo, AT&T employee here 👋 As someone who's got the s10+, trading in your phone to S20 will get you maximum trade in within the first 2 months (or less) after the new phone launches. My phone is paid off so in addition with a coupon, getting a $1000 off for trade in to grab S20+, will be a sensible move for me. 1. Larger (better) battery 2. better camera- back and front(orientation is a plus) 3. Larger and smoother display 4. CPU+RAM upgrade 5. Faster Storage 6. Future software support 7. 5G (AT&T has it lit up in many places and adding quickly /shamlessbrag) In my case that's all for just $200. Con: 1. RIP aux port(I thought you wouldn't do this to me samsung 😥)
Can I just make a correction? The S10+ HAS A 12MP Main, 12MP Telephoto and a 16MP Ultawide lens. You have the Telephoto and ultra wide the wrong way round. TBH, I dont get why they've gone from a 16MP ultrawide down to 12MP - is it dual pixel? Very in-depth video as usual. Thanks
I looked at the new S22 ultra , the cranberry red one at best buy. I'd castrate myself and trade the genitals to have one. It's that nice. I've never seen such a amazing piece of technology in my life. It's beyond amazing.
Lol. I have a Note 8, but I think I will be joining you and the S10+ family. I love the Prism White and with those blue galaxy buds, they match perfectly.
@@XmarcX92 I have s10 plus, I went to a beach, it's a local beach or an island where they don't have electricity. I went there without any powerbank and stayed overnight, but my phone still have 15% left. What I did most was to shoot videos for cinematic shots.
Great Content✊🏾😎👌🏾💯💯 I've had my mind on upgrading to S20 Ultra 512gb from S10+. Now with your video on these models, I will just add 1 Tb to my S10 Plus, get a New Ringke Fusion-X "Camo" case cover👌🏾😎✊🏾 Thanks so much for showing me I can wait for prices to eventually drop✊🏾😎👌🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💯💯
The lack of a headphone jack means I would not even consider it. I use that jack for many things and the added features and improvements do not begin to make up for that loss.
S20 Ultra has higher refresh rate, better resolution and better cameras. But for my uses, the S10+ camera and screen are good enough. My S10+ has a headphone jack, 1TB of onboard storage (that I have pretty much maxed out and have also maxed out my 512GB micro sd card), and a ceramic body, which is better than glass. These features are more important to me. S20 Ultra has no headphone jack or ceramic option and the highest onboard storage option is 512GB. That's a huge downgrade for me. I need the storage.
As a matter of fact, I just bought a S10+ at the reduced price over the S20 series. To me, the phone jack is important and the triple camera setup is more than enough and the screen size is just about right. I could use the saved bucks to get me a GoPro as bonus.
great video, wish you would have lined up the phones so the bottoms were the same showing us how much taller they were. it was a distorted view the way you laid them out
I have the Note 10+ and the S10+ these babies are beautiful and powerful. I am very satisfied with them. But I always want the best of the best, so I will buy the s10 Ultra in few months when the price drops or wait for the Note 20 if he gets a better look and has more improvements.
I still have my S7 Edge. Best phone I've ever owned, and it still works seamlessly. However, it's about time to upgrade and after listening to many reviews, I think I'll get the S10+, because it has a headphone jack.
Maybe you should also consider getting the next generation. Please keep in mind that Samsung gives their devices 2 years of software updates. If you get the S10+, the last update you would get is Android 11 while if you get the S20 you will get Android 12. You can always get wireless headphones, the Samsung Galaxy buds or buds+ are a great opportunity for stay in their ecosystem 😁
I really y do like to appreciate you for this review . i have been watching so many comparisons , but non of them got to a clear conclusion , unlike you . Thanks a lot .
you made a mistake regarding S10+ spec 12 MP, f/1.5-2.4, 26mm (wide), 1/2.55", 1.4µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS 12 MP, f/2.4, 52mm (telephoto), 1/3.6", 1.0µm, AF, OIS, 2x optical zoom 16 MP, f/2.2, 12mm (ultrawide), 1/3.1", 1.0µm, Super Steady video The ultrawide lens is 16 MP, not 12MP. Galaxy S20 series, even the Ultra, is not made of stainless steel as far as I find in the different pages. if you have a reference for it please let us know Please correct it.
I'm tempted to upgrade to the ultra. The cameras are my main reason, but I really like my S10+. Maybe I'll skip the upgrade this year. Great video thanks.
Is anyone else annoyed at how all brands brag about their 4K video capturing and 60+ MP photo capture... but then follows it up by stating that each phone starts with a dinky 64 GB or 128 GB storage? Wtf? At least micro SD is an option with these phones (as well as other Android phones).
Thank you very much for this great video. One of the best and honest reviews I've seen on Samsung galaxy phones comparison. Please keep up the good work.
I prefer to wait until Galaxy S21/Galaxy S20 Come becuase My S10+ Still a BEAST.And not to much Upgrade,Also i think upgrade per 2 year is a best choice for S Series
Maybe I missed that you did go through the bigger batteries on the new galaxy models but shouldn’t that be a third advantage when considering of upgrading or not?
Just upgraded from my old note 8 to s10 plus... With an s10 plus and looking at what you point out there isn't anything that makes me want those phones....and why the fuck did Samsung skip 10 numbers?
Well uh, I am pretty sure its not true when you say that 120hz is only available on lower resolutions for the reason of saving the battery. Its more of a hardware limitation, kind of like how a 4k monitor doesn't have 144hz while a 1080p monitor have up to 240hz, it wouldn't make sense about the saving power part because a monitor is always plugged in. A phone is not a monitor but its works the same as a screen.
Thank you for you honesty, i just brought the Samsung S10+ new for $544, I can't wait to use it. I looked at the S20+ and S20 ultra but i didn't really know the different beside display size. Thanks to you video I saved a lot of money because the upgrades of the other phones are not that big of deal to me. Again thank you for you honesty and in depth video
Saki my man, I have the s10 plus and it has the heart rate monitor, and the wireless reverse power share feature, and the headphone jack and those features are crucial and imperative to me . In some ways this phone is better than the iphone I had. I will be sticking to my s10 plus .
