Yeah I’ve had nothing but good results from Whitestone. I’m just cautious, because of comments here. People have opened a box from Whitestone. To find broken screen protectors. When they ask Whitestone to send them a new package. Whitestone asked them to pay a $10 shipping fee. That isn’t good business. But I do have to specify I have had nothing but good experience with Whitestone. I just do my best to pass on the information I learned. Thank you for your comment.
When you get the silicone case by Samsung could you please check to see if it will be compatible with the Whitestone Dome camera protector for the S21 Ultra?
Hello Caitlyn I was looking at the camera screen protector images on the Whitestone domes website. I can almost guarantee that there will be a problem with Samsung‘s silicone case compatibility. The silicone case has cut outs around each one of the cameras. So to explain this better the case basically covers the whole camera body, and leaves holes for just the camera to show through. What’s nice about this is you do not need to use the camera screen protector from Whitestone. Let me know if you have anymore questions.🙂
@@SomethingMobile Thankyou! But when you say that I dont nees to use the camera protector from Whitestone because of the cutouts on the silicone case, the lenses are still exposed through the cutouts which could get scratched right?
So I got the defender pro for the 21 ultra but can't find a screen protector that'll work with it. Tried armorsuit case friendly, invisible shield and both have bubbled at the edges... Any suggestions?
OK yes. If you want a screen protector that is TPU then try the Spigen TPU screen protector. But for me the best screen protector to use is Whitestone dome glass. I believe it’s on sale right now on Amazon. That is a glass screen protector and is a UV install. Which means that you will have to apply a liquid on your glass on the phone and then set it with a UV light. It’s a little bit more difficult to apply but if you can get it right it’s well worth that difficulty.
Wait doesn't the S21+ come with a screen protector already installed? I have one on my note 10+, and just got my mom and S21+. Did they stop including default protectors altogether because of what you were describing with broken ones upon arrival or something? Did they arrive broken from Samsung? Same here about spending money. I will spend extra $$ to get the very best. My time is worth more than my $$, so I'd rather prevent future drama. Also how do you feel about the otterbox commuter?
I honestly can't remember if it comes with a screen protector installed LOL. I can tell you however that I wouldn't rely on the install screen protector if it does come with one. It's just a little piece of plastic that doesn't provide any structural integrity to the screen of your phone. It will prevent scratches and that's about it. I recommend getting a good screen protector for your phone as soon as possible if your mom doesn't mind using screen protectors. Good for you helping your mom out by the way. Very good point about your time being worth more than money. And I have had the commuter case for the notes 20 Ultra. I actually really liked it for that phone. It's a toss-up between the symmetry case and the commuter case. The commuter case kind of came off a little bit easy. In other words it didn't hold on to the phone as well as I would like it to because of the soft inner rubber. So I think I would choose symmetry case over the commuter case. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment. 👍👍
Can you please let me know what its like with the whitestone screen protection on and the otterbox defender case ... I have bought both but haven't fitted yet .. I also have the whitestone camera protector also ... not sure if it will fit with the defender case ... thanks
So havent you fitted it yet?? I bought the whitestone because of a review I watched with you on another phone Thanks for doing these reviews I'm not going to fit mine till I watch or hear from you about yours .... 👍
@@leonjazmine3399, okay, sounds good. No I haven’t tried the Whitestone and Defender yet. I have the Whitestone on and I’m working on that video. I will be putting the Defender Pro on soon. I’ll let you know how it fits. Let’s hope for the best.
There is a dbrand case called the grip. I was thinking of getting one. What is cool is that you can change your skins no keep it looking different and fresh. Don’t know if you would like to check them out. I have a note 20 ultra but they have it for S21 also. The grip is also compatible with the white dome it says.
I love the DBrand grip! Thank you for sharing your experience with that case. I totally recommend that case. I had it for the note 10+. Also it’s good to see you back. 🙂 Thank you for watching.👍
You might want to do a internet search on Dbrand before you go buy one. I was looking into one for my new S21 Ultra and I was blown away how many bad reviews I found. Cases falling apart after a couple months of use, long times to ship, and horrible customer service are a few common themes I saw.
@@88hammar I’ll look into this, because I’m curious on what part of the case was falling apart. My Note 10 plus case took about two weeks to get to me. So that wasn’t too bad. I just really liked how grippy the case was and how protective the corners were yet being a slim profile case. I have probably need to pick up another one for the S21 ultra. Thanks for the heads up. I’ll go look at the reviews.
@@SomethingMobile 👍, You’ll notice most the positive reviews on RU-vid are sponsored by Dbrand you gotta do a little digging but the REAL reviews are out there, also trustpilot.com is a great impartial review website and they have tons of reviews.
Are you going to install one of these and show us? I want to see the Zagg one installed. I'm waiting on my S21 ultra to come from Samsung and have the Zagg waiting for it.
I do plan to put all of these on my phone and compare all of them. I’ll try to squeeze a little installation montage in there for you🙂. Thanks for your question, and for taking the time to leave a comment.
I was totally working on that video. It just wasn’t going to come out the way I wanted it to. Honestly I probably put too much thought into it. But comparing to the others the glass fusion scratches kind of easy, but it’s usable. It has a slight TPU you feel to it. it’s not really Glass. I would compare it to a TPU screen protector. It has really good adhesive. What this means is, if you drop your phone it will protect your screen really well.
Help! Just got the s21 ultra. Bought an otterbox and it's having interference with the glass camera protector. Any reccomendations? Is there a smaller glass? Why isn't otterbox making these?
No problem. Here’s a possible solution for you. Go to dbrand.com and get one of the camera skins. If you get a black one it will likely not be noticeable if you have a black phone if you have the purple phone then maybe a black one and still look good. There’s different textures you can get to. I like the leather texture personally. Hopefully this helps.
Hey there! Thank you for your videos. I know the Otterbox Defender and Defender Pro work with Whitestone dome. Do you know if Otterbox Symmetry works with Whitestone dome as well?
Do you know if there are any cheaper screen protectors that still work decently well with the fingerprint scanner for the regular s21? I do not feel like spending upwards of $30 on a screen protector. Any ideas would really help. Thank you!
Honestly not really much of a difference. The main difference is the outside of the case looks a little different, And the pro has an anti-microbial coating. Thank you for your question.
Yeah, I really don't think there's much in different drop protection rating. I kind of like the feel of the defender Pro maybe a little bit more in the hand. But from past experience it seems that the regular defender and the defender Pro are basically the same case.
@@SomethingMobile I'm also wondering if the sticky residue from a rear camera protector will damage the flat black painted surface around the rear cameras? I've ordered the Whitestone Dome plus their camera protectors and was looking for install videos of these.
Honestly Supcase is so good. I was apprehensive to recommend them last year, but this year I decided to give them a try. They are good on my iPhones and my android phones. I can recommend them for sure. Especially for the price! Thanks for the time you took to leave a comment.
Samsung should be ashamed of themselves ripping off customers with these useless offerings. No MST on Samsung Pay in the United States, No sdcard support on no S21 models, No charger, No headphones, poor 1080p displays on the S21 and S21Plus, poor unboxing experience (NOSALE). I look forward to extremely poor sales on S21 models which Samsung deserves this isn't 2015 when they did the same sdcard bullshit to the Note5 and S6EdgePlus. Poor sales means they won't fuck with the Note21Ultra or Fold3 come September.
Yeah I keep thinking about the fact that there’s no SD card. I have the note 20 ultra, and I wouldn’t upgrade to this as 21 Ultra from the note. I think this phone is super good the S 21 Ultra that is. It’s just really unfortunate they Didn’t include an SD card. I don’t mind that there is no charging brick, because I have one for the note 20 ultra. But it’s unfortunate for customers that don’t have a previous device with a fast charger. I’m going to do some research on fast chargers to purchase for this phone. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
You're absolutely correct I'm hoping they do not mess over the Note. The 5 was definitely enough and I couldn't wait to upgrade to the 8. I've had the 10+ since birth and was thinking of switching to the s line. I'm waiting for the Note but will definitely do my research before buying.
