So, I lost my original S-pen and had to buy a new one, and it won't actually connect. The old one is probably still in the house, I just cannot for the life of me find it, so I'm wondering if that's the issue. Either way, no matter what I try, my new S-pen will not connect. I followed these same instructions three times already, and it just won't connect.
Just a heads up. If you have a case on your phone and put a magnetic mount on the back of the case. It won't allow the pen to charge, or allow it to connect. Just found that out. Thanks for the video.
Omg. Thank you! I was going crazy trying to figure out why it said it wasnt connected. The phone acted like the pen wasnt even being read. Brand new phone with brand new case that just happens to have a magnetic backing on it. I took the phone out of the case.. and boom spen is connected and charging! Thank you! I almost took it back for a replacement.
I still couldn't connect my spen on s22ultra. I thought my pen died so I tried my pen with the other s22 ultra and it works. Any probability that my hardware might have failed. Please help me.
I was looking at getting that red S22 Ultra. I really didn't want to wait for it so I went with the Green. So glad that I did though cause that red looks a little like burnt orange. Still good looking though.
My S-Pen along with may others it seems, is still able to be used as a touch-stylus however, the S22 Ultra is not able to "see" the pen. Connection does not work despite updating the software, inserting the pen when prompted, trying the reset S-Pen button, or even the hit or miss "scan for S-Pen pro" button. This leads me to believe that this is a hardware issue. I did have the screen of my S22 Ultra replaced by a 3rd party repair company (CPR/T-Mobile) And I am wondering if they replaced my screen with one that lacked a component neccesary to connect the device to the S-Pen properly. Air actions are currently unavailable and the S-Pen will not connect to the device other than magnetically.
I'm having this same issue with my s23 ultra. I just had my screen replaced and the spen will not connect. I can still use it on my screen but it still says that the spen is disconnected
My S22 Ultra constantly tells me my S pen is disconnected. The pen included with the phone is the basic/regular model not a Pro. When I go to Air Actions in Settings then tap the 3 dots in upper right corner the following options display: - Reset S pen -Scan for S pen - Learn How The S Pen Pro is not listed. When I select Reset I'm informed "Couldn't connect to your S pen". When I select Scan for S pen an image of an S Pen Pro displays showing a pen with 2 buttons (my pen has 1 button). Under the pic of the S Pen Pro are instructions to "Press & hold Connection (second) button for 3 seconds until LED starts blinking". SO it is a never ending circle = Pro not listed as option to connect to BUT phone only wants to connect to a Pro. 🤨 🥴 I've searched for hours to remedy this situation. Very upset my S22 Ultra only came with basic pen. Any ideas?
Hey bud my s22 ultra screen flickers while watching 4k hdr content on youtube except that there is no flicker or anything else , i have the snapdragon version , can you plz check your s22 ultra for the same ! And let me know how to fix this issue
@@jimmyispromo I've come from s20 plus and i kept it on 120hz all the time , this adaptive display feels a bit jiddery when it senses a touch, Samsung should also provide an option to keep it on 120 hz all the time , can you raise this issue with Samsung to give three options 60hz , adaptive or 120hz all the time
Fun fact. You can use a note 10 plus s-pen on an s22 ultra but it will not connect for air actions. So i cracked tbe screen on my s22 ultra. Took sbojt 6 monthe to get it fixed because wedding honeymoon, buying house and new job happened. I sent it off right away to be repaired bit there was an issue so it got sent back unrepaired. I had taken my s pen out of it and pit it away for safe keeping. Well as you can imagine i cant remember where. My bsckup phone was my old note 10 plus so currently using its s-pen. It wont connect no matter what i try.
@Jimmy is Promo With the new OneUI 5.0 just upgraded to on my Note 20; the settings of S-Pen syncing are different and gone?! 🤔 🤦🏼 Along w/ a whole bunch of changes to Apps Samsung did that just makes me wanna get an iPhone! Example….my Gallery App w/ all my Albums, pics, vids, etc……went bye bye Settings are worse and Barrie’s deeper in sub settings for the most basic of “settings”. So Jimmy, b/c Samsung messed up such a good OS w/ 4 that worked great and could navigate well and had pretty much same settings as 3.1, can ya do a vid on HOW THE HECK TO DO ANYTHING ON 5.0 W/ A NOTE 20. Heck they now have dedicated App for photo editing, which used to just be included inside the Gallery App; what the heck Samsung, and that’s 1 of 65+ settings that have changed or deleted, as I’ve come across using my phone. Used to get vibrate when pickup phone when screen off if got TEXT, missed call, or voice mail. That now doesn’t work 🤦🏼 Again, kinda makes me want an iPhone even though there gonna have their own special issues this September/October 🤦🏼 Literally, why have an app’s features etc…now all of a sudden have each feature a completely separate standalone app? Gallery was great, now have 5 new apps to do things used to inside gallery, and the new apps; don’t work any better at all 😂 I’m laughing cuz crying ain’t helping….ya guys get it, as gotta laugh and not cry when have situations like this…omg, and think, oneui 6, or 5.1 NOT, I mean WONT be any better, but worse, gods hope mot. Now some might be saying I’m over reacting and blah blah blah. Well, ya get used to and like features that are gone, settings and layouts changed; and Parents and other ppl in your big circle that come to you as the Techke to “fix” their devices: all while explaining it ain’t happening, which is “My Fault”. it still operates as a regular s pen when disconnected. When its connected, it can use the additional features such as Air Action. Waves, swiping, button long press and more from across the room.
