The thing is you won't even notice the "speed" an iPhone 11 and older flagship samsungs are equally "fast". I'd focus on battery and the proper software integration that best suits you. I personally love them both.
The most important thing in a phone and a phone that’s years long is the battery and how long the phone can consistently get new updates so who ever wins those 2 categories are probably the better phone since sure the iPhone or Samsung might be better but most people don’t upgrade their phones every year and most do it around 3-4 years and some 5 so yeah who ever is better at it I would consider the better phone now with these phones we won’t be able to tell until a couple years who’s better but we can go on their previous phones which I can’t remember who is the better can you perhaps tell me?
I will say, as an iPhone 13 user the 60hz display is really smooth for what it is. If it had a 90hz display with a telephoto lens, it would almost certainly be an amazing deal for anyone.
@@michaels4640 Although you're right, your statement is not absolute - for example, my current OnePlus 8 with 90hz feels much better than my previous Poco x3 with 120hz. iPhone's stable 60hz is cool though, but you can't fool physics - even the choppy 120hz will be smoother than iPhone's 60hz in means of scrolling the text, feed, the menu and etc., even if iphone has smoothest animations on 60hz.
@@S0ulH0und because it is. Even after they introduced widgets FINALLY. The customization just wasn't there until recently and even then it's not very well known or polished. I could unlock 100 different iPhones and chances are the only thing that separates 90% of them are the wallpaper and app layout. Android you can pretty much dream anything you want and it'll be there. Samsung especially has its "theme park" app where you can make your own themes. IOS isnt bad, Its just boring but functional.
@@alexc7864 Are you talking about changing the icons? iOS has that too. But why would want to change beautifully crafted theme (default android, ios) that hundreds of designers have spent their time working on over the years to some mediocre theme that you going to put together in 5 minutes? The default design of both os is not boring at all, it perfectly speaks of the time we live in. It looks modern.
s22 is perfect to call it a "android iphone".... for those like me who want iphone quality and size but android OS.... this phone stopped me to switch to IOS👍❤️
Both are great I don’t think you will have a problem with either of them. All in all, it practically comes to personal preference. Phones are getting so great you can almost never tell a difference amoung flagships
Looking at the kind of display u get on the Samsung, nobody on this planet can convince me the iphone is the better buy merely because of the tinny advantage in performance. The screen on the Samsung is a beast ! Too nice!. They should just work on their battery and heat management . Come on Sam!
Tiny? That was a painfully large gap. The battery is terrible. You should see some video tests between these two phones. The only thing the s22 has going for it is a smoother screen and better features.
@@Jriz01 Agreed. Samsung still has work to do with the way their adaptive 120hz displays dynamically adjust as sometimes it doesn't clock up or down to the right refresh rate at the exact moment it's needed, from experience. Take the iPhone 13 Pro, Apple managed to put a 120hz adaptive display with very minimal effects in battery life and still matches or sometimes beats the competition with a relatively lower battery capacity
@iDeen1sTrash🗑💩 Fanboy spotted!! The iPhone 13 eats the S22 in smoothness scrooling, Better Design, nicer screen, photography etc.. honestly I don't care it was just fun to point out the hypocrisy, calling someone a fanboy then doing the fanboy
Great video, but something is definitely wrong with that geekbench score on the S22. Usual scores are 1400ish on Single core and 4000ish on multi core.
samsung always catches the trend 👌 nice review bro 👌 can you do a speed test between the regular s22 and the ultra cause the ultra has some software problems
Thing with android phones is that they are initially fast but quickly they deteriorate to glitches. This does not happen with iphone which is consistent for years
Maybe, but still way better than the s22 I assure you. Not to mention, apple's software is so optimized that you don't really need anymore ram. I mean the Pro has only 6gb and performs extremely well.
@Carlinhoo 08 did you you say "fast software "? Lol 😆 grab a samsung and an iPhone and compare it yourself. I have both ecosystems and there's nothing "fast" about this iPhone 13.
@@GalaticPanda Well, in my experience I’ve had both and iPhone is more fluid and faster in addition to having the most powerful chip, I don’t know why it makes you angry to say a personal taste.
On the S22- remove the animations when opening and closing apps using the Dev Mode options then run the test again. Out the box, it opens and minimizes apps using a shrink and grow animation... The iPhone also doesn't multitask, while the Samsung runs things in the background, so if you really wanted to test them equally, you'd limit the background processes on the Samsung as well
Yeah plus he ran the benchmark with the Samsung on optimised mode since my S22 E2200 literally scored 15% in single core and about 25% better in multi core.
Lol might be only me but when Samsung was faster than IPhone you said yes Samsung is much faster even though the difference was not much. But when IPhone was much faster you said it is not a big deal! I don’t know…
im still waiting for the day where the animations on android will feel as smooth as those on ios and despite the improvements these last few years i might still have a long wait ahead
Honestly I prefer being able to muti-task and having way more freatures than the phone being slightly smoother everytime I use an iPhone even on my work phone it's just feels so basic and limited
The iOS animations are linked to Apple’s Metal API all the graphic design of the interface is done on top of the API since IOS 9, I don’t know which API Android devices use in their interface.
I honestly gave up arguing with iphone users even though Samsung has WAY more freatures and freedom there's no convincing isheep that their phone is better just cause it's "simple" and "just works" but each to their own
@@ieadarshs1218 true but their chip is so optimized and efficient and built by them for them. Snapdragons are built for range of stuff. As things stand. IPhone can never be beat in battery and I say that as an Android user and someone that has preordered the S22 and looking forward to getting this week!
Problem with the iPhone will always be closed up ecosystem. Not having a proper file manager, not being able to install apps outside of app store, ... That's why i'll never get an iphone again
Samsung almost perfected the screen, i mean the bezels are symmetric all over. Even thinner than iPhones. The punch camera could have been UDC but lets wait another year til they perfect it.
well the update made a big difference for s22 but still not where it should be honestly, getting there though, clearly as it is much better than the previous
iPhone 13 has the most powerful smartphone chip but it honestly doesn't matter since there are basically 0 apps that take advantage of the power. Also I'd take the hole punch over notch any day of the week!
When you were doing the ram management test, PUBG reloaded on iphone 13 and you tried to skip it. It's not a big deal, but don't show your bias for the iphone. Try to be more objective. Great video though.
The S22 did several reloads or "partial" reloads, it's not holding the apps properly in memory or something weird is happening. Also the scroll seems jerky or choppy a lot of times and i confirmed this myself playing around with one. Hope Samsung fixes this in a software update, not acceptable for a flagship that costs above 1000 dollars...
I used to be all about the Pixels and iPhone is definitely a different experience with quite a few advantages especially if your circle of people are iPhone users it’s definitely a better experience due to iMessage and FaceTime.
Hard to say. iPhone is much better on youtube comparisons now but samsung phone just released. The system have to be updated to be optimised for new cpu and it can take a month or two.
This new snapdragon was in my opinion a complete disaster, i hope the new Dimensity from MediaTek can make a better job this year in the android department.
ALL the day to day apps opened faster on the S22, games and stuff the galaxy was maybe 1 second or 2 behind. Real world usage you won't really notice it both are really fast. For the $799 (or $839) on iPhone 13 I'd rather have the Galaxy with that much better screen and 120hz, slimmer bezels as well as no notch. IPhone users will have to wait till iPhone 14 for a pill shaped cutout but that will only be on the Pro variants. The regular 14s will maintain the notch.
I love how the iPhone works and how smooth it is but it's just too limited when it comes to customization .... at the end it's just an expensive device that you can't really take advantage of
I am just thinking about is the speed difference of app really due the the phone, the OS (android vs IOS), or due the app itself (like how the app manufacturer optimize it for different OS)?
As a Samsung user the 22 was kinda a let foen as far as performance. Usually geekbench is close in both categories and overall proformance but this year was a let down
You can not see the 120hz screen difference in RU-vid most of them upload videos with 60fps and if you have a 60hz phone or laptop still you can't campare them but in reality you will find how big of a difference it is
It is clear that samsung s22 is not optimized Because it loads games and some apps by first showing it logo something that my 3 year old phone doesn't do
Bought s22 few days back....and This phone is amazing...power packed...3700 mah battery not a downside but need to optimise my usage accordingly for running full day. Not leaving this phone anytime soon.
