In this video I'll be taking I'll be taking a look at the Rokid Max AR Glasses and pairing them with the Galaxy S23 Ultra to create the ultimate experience. The Rokid Max AR glasses are the latest entry level AR glasses from Rokid which build on the popular Rokid Air glasses I reviewed several months back. The Rokid Max have an improved display, better speakers, and a more comfortable fit. When combined with the Galaxy S23 Ultra you can have an immersive gaming experience while maintaining privacy. Greetings and congratulations for the presentation, I think that for such a complete package, after Nreal air and INMO 2, the latter must arrive, I'm thinking of getting such a pair of glasses. I have 2 questions, and the first is related to the viewing experience on the Samsung S 23 Ultra phone. I own an S 22 ultra and the viewing experience is not like a Huawei P 40 pro +, because the image on the Samsung is more washed out than on the Huawei, which is an absolutely excellent vibrant OLED. My question would be .... is there a setting at Samsung to improve the image? It seems to me that Samsung can do more than that. The second question would be... what is the procedure to watch with the smallest device for current and glasses? I have one but on my Nreal glasses the video audio signal doesn't come in... instead it loads :) I know that device works both on Rokid, Nreal or INMO. I note with sadness that the people I bought from tell me that it is only for Rokid, but on other sites it is clearly specified that this device also works on Nreal or INMO. If someone could help me with a solution, I would greatly appreciate it.

If you are using these with Dex, can you see your keyboard and mouse/trackpad easily enough while they are on your face?

Ridley Scott’s The Martian and Prometheus are both shot in 3d, both showcase the power of the format

Very true but those movies are “REAL 3D” which is an entirely different class. They utilized several RED cameras to capture the 3D effects for Prometheus which IMO is one of the greatest movies ever shot in 3D. Everything was done very tastefully and not overdone. This was the only movie that did not give me a headache when watching it in 3D.

Just wondering, Rokid has this wireless adapter they're including with their new Rokid Max for an additional $69 while their hdmi adapter is priced around $29 atm. 1) Is there a need to get both of them or do they both just serve the same purpose except one is wired n the other one is wireless? 2) Would the wireless adapter be better for xbox/Playstation if the console itself is further than the length of the cable could reach with the HDMI adapter? Or is it better to just invest in an extension cable to use the HDMI adapter with the consoles?

Thanks for the Video, i think the only Problem is Samsung Dex. With my Galaxy Z Fold 3 i got big Problems with Dex and the Rokid Air. My Smartphone was very hot during using the Rokid Air. Exist this Problem here too? (Samsung Dex -> Heat Building)

How do u fix the audio to cone out the glasses when using dex an watching a movie when u get a call it goes to the phone an it doesn't come out the glasses. My Xreal doesn't have that issue, when on dex an watching a movie an get a call the audio cones out the glasses. I have the Rokid Max

I have the nreal Air glasses and like them very much. They have a 60hz display instead of a 120 hz. Can you tell me if there is any difference in screen display brightness and image quality between these two models?

Good question. The display on the Rokid Max is superior in every way including brightness and image quality. The one area I prefer the Nreal Air is design. They look nearly identical to a pair of Raybans.

Does the 3d SBS work without the app? No reviewer would answer that question. It was showing incorrectly on the previous model

I have only been able to use it inside the app but I honestly haven’t messed with it too much. 3D content typically gives me a headache.

NReal in my opinion has a better design and look more like regular glasses. I also prefer the NReal app. The Rokid Max offers a better viewing experience since the display is quite a bit better with clarity, brightness, and refresh rate. Plus, the speakers are really good.

I have the latest Nxtwear S from TCL, which main con is that the edges of the picture displayed tend to get blurry unlike the picture center which stays crystal clear. So I wonder if you noticed this kind of problem too on the Rokid Max, which would confirm it's a physical limitation of this new display tech relying on reflecting glasses ?

Slightly off topic, but way back when Google Glasses came out for developers, I couldn't use them because my (minor) astigmatism and diopter were enough to make the image unreadable. I've wondered how well companies would address this going forward.

go back to 3:50 in vlog and he talks about the diopter adjustment of 0 to 6 which means he can take off his glasses and make the image viewable with those.

Yeah, plus decreasing the brightness slightly will help make it more transparent.

I liked your review of the glasses but something rubbed me the wrong way. You said that the experience on PC is equally as good, but you don't show yourself testing it with a PC. That makes me think that you never did test it with a PC, which makes the claim seem kind of ingenuine. I mean, might be that Rokid claims that they work great on PC, but isn't it kind of (part of) your job to test if what companies claim is actually true? Maybe the experience on PC is totally buggy. To be clear, I think it's no problem to not test a device on PC if, for example, you simply don't have one around. But in that case, you should clarify that it's a claim by the company. This goes for pretty much everything IMO, not only PC compatibility. Either way, I enjoyed the video. I think you did a great job showcasing the capabilities of the glasses and it's clear that you put a lot of time into making this video. Thank you.

I definitely tested it on PC and it works great. I played several Steam Games. I didn’t show it because I felt it was redundant B Roll considering it works fine on Mac which are much more restricted computers. The glasses are seen as an external display and the PC will power the glasses given that you have them connected via USB-C and your PC’s port can output power. Basically, if you can connect a USB-C monitor to your PC these glasses are no different and will function fine.

@Jonathan Casey no the 256gb version is 8gb, the specs I have seen have never showed a 12gb version. That only comes with the 512gb and 1tb ultra 23 versions
