Both are just incredible devices. Personally I go with the 50 Pro. It's seems when it comes to corner of true quality of photography, Huawei did what truly need to be done to get the best job done. The s23 ultra still did amazing, but also went with hype that doesn't actually equal better quality (200mp)
Another awesome review! It's great to see a real world review - DXO rated the Mate 50 number 1 camera phone, and the S23U in 10th place alongside the x90 pro+ - I trust what I see on your channel above anything. Looking forward to the x90 pro+ vs S23U comparison!!!!
I think so too, honestly it is the most innovative phone company and they focused heavily on making their phones the best. I've recently ordered a Samsung S23U and if Huawei had google services I would definitely consider it.
Ultra wide, main, telephoto, etc,as long as it is Samsung, pictures and videos look orange when the sun is shining. I don't know why people think Samsung is some of the best camera phones.
I would truly like to thank you for your dedication. Unbiased view, which is extremely rare these days, and i think with all the good in the s23 ultra it is no match for Huawei. Huawei has been beating all since the days of mate10 pro. They are truly innovative and ahead of time. Once more, sincere thanks for your dedication.
Thank you for another great comparison, its a pity the the Mate 50 pro hasn't Google and is just harder to get. Its a bit like the Sony Xperia 1 iv that you reviewed, great cameras and definitely worth considering for its camera abilities.
@Techview Podcast ,i suggest you to take more lesson to other youtubers about comparison. You dont have test video stabilization while running, super makro, night mode, and more scenarios in video and photo.I wish you the best, this is just advice.Im using Mate 50 right now🤗
Thanks great suggestions. I think I tested the super macro mode and yeah video stabilisation I also tested just had those two usable clips. Thanks again
It's cool that Samsung didn't abandon x10 zoom, which is missing in other devices, but 200mp with very small pixels is a huge minus. samsung smoothly switches between cameras, unlike huawei Mate draws more, but conveys more details. Here is someone who likes it more. To summarize: the mate is more versatile, judging by the tests, so it is more preferable for the photo and yes: thanks for the review, it's a pleasure to watch you :)
samsung's 10x is shit from that small sensor, my x90 pro+ takes better zoom pics indoor and low light than samsung at ANY zoom range, unlike samsung where if you wanna take say 8x zoom pic, it will look awful as is using the 3x optical. Quality over quantity
Thats almost a philosophical question. I know that the S23 Ultra keeps more noise (maybe even has to keep more noise) and Huawei is denoising more aggressively.
Really loving your review. 😍🔥 But you missed again what Xmage filter you used on Mate 50 Pro. S23 Ultra is taking vivid & dark output which can be battled by Xmage Vivid of Mate 50 Pro.
@@lltechview doing good at being biased 😁 Keep doing what you are doing and you will surpass his numbers of subcribers. His losing credibility as his FACTS are not SPEAKING TRUTH ☺️
Sometimes i wonder how good Huawei phones would be today (it topped both Samsung and apple for a brief moment in 2020) if US din do what they did to Huawei 3 years ago (still no proof shown at all today...)
The only issue keeping me away from the Mate 50 Pro is the lack of optical zoom. If they had a 10x optical, there'd be no debate in my mind. If a person does a lot of day time filming, you need that strength of the 10x. What are your thoughts?
Samsung did well considering it just released and hasn't received any updates, it's still running pre-release software. Samsung tends to improve cameras significantly with updates
@@ivanosijek2306 chill, no phone i s perfect at launch, even the iphone has bugs months after release. Also in a more thorough test, Samsung dominates ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IBWmEB3NFxQ.html

@@ivanosijek2306 I don't have the phones but I've had the opportunity to test the S21 ultra, S22 ultra and mate 40 pro before. But from videos, Samsung wins and from what I saw, Samsung takes better pictures 70% of time
Thanks for your effort , can you please try to show the parts of the video and so we will be easier to skip and choose the part that we want because not all the people are interested in everything in the device
@@lltechview appreciate it , I have a question , i have huawei mate 50 with harmony os 3 , huawei docs app isn't working with message appears saying this service is currently unavailable in your region, how can I solve this , i have changed the region to china and nothing happened , i was using mate 20 with emui 12 and it was working perfectly
@@khalid17739 Done. As for Huawei docs. Its not working on chinese devices. It identifies them by their hardware identifier. No solution known so far. I am using PDFViewerPlus from F-Droid
Samsung has had massive noise problems since the S21ULTRA.With these small sensors, the 200 megapixels are simply counterproductive.but when I look at the photos of both devices, I can only say that Sony simply takes much more natural pictures.
could you by any chance review how the Nova 10 pro compares to a flagship of your choice, I am wondering what it's capable of especially in terms of main lens photos and front camera
Hard to tell but the Huawei P50 Pro & Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra are good for long range zoom. Otherwise the Xiaomi 13 Pro together with the Huawei P60 Pro and Honor Magic 5 Pro amd Oppo Find X6 Pro have a very good 3x zoom.
Try camera RAW it makes a huge improvement for shadows DR colours..it's NOT on the S23u..only when you give your personal info for Samsung to sell can the Samsung... play.. store is accessible
I have the massive 23u for notes..it's much too big & very heavy to take outside also has Facebook/meta cooked into RAM . by now the algorithm is much better than huewie. The small 23 is a Google pocket size P40(camera wise) only HD screen..the more expensive Mate.. after discounts..is also big & too heavy..my P50 is better because its my main pocket phone & overall has the best cameras..size/pocket /price ability..I hope the P60 will get a cleaner algorithm..then a Google S10/pixel 4 in one pocket & P50/60 the other..if honor/mate could shrink to P50 size/weight great
