This channel is amazing, and yes I was excited for a long tech review of one of the best if not the best small tablet out there, but wow the 5000mA hour battery is awesome, I just wish it came with more base storage, but it’s good for the amazing price.

That was a great review. I was thinking of getting one of these for my brother for his birthday, and this has confirmed my decision. He's used to having smaller tablets, since he currently uses a 7 inch LG, but this can run all the current games, so it will be much better for him. Thank you for making this review!!

Excellent review. Been eyeing this one, have a 8in tab S2 but into he market for an 8in LTE version. Travel a lot and 10 in is too big for me. Hoping for the s pen and 4gb ram for games but at this price I might jump on it, looking forward to the upcoming gaming review you mentioned.

I got this for a technologically limited friend. All they will do is video chat, youtube, check the weather, news. calendar, calculator and a few other things. They lack WiFi, so the LTE version works. I'm glad that you like this tablet enough. I think it will suit. I set up a program so that I can remote in to their tablet to be (hopefully) helpful. Thank you for your review.

Tab a 8.4 (2020). I use Double Tap to Lock app from the play store. Works like it should. Only app I found that works. For wifi I pay for 40 down and 10 up. My speed test read 43 down and 11 up on this tablet. So I have no wifi issue on 802.11ac 5Ghz. I have an unlocked unit in Canada.

Tbh the ipad cuz of the cpu or s5e because of quad speakers and amoled screen and 16:10 so no video cutouts, if you can't afford the 300$ s5e, nor the 250$ 2019 iPad (Amazon, or because it can't ship to your place) go for this tablet, if portability was a issue

Idk what happened to Samsung’s screen mirroring... I used to connect my tablet to my Galaxy Core Prime and use it as a bigger screen for yt but in newer Samsung devices it dissapeared. Does this one have it?

Yeah but then again this probably isn't _much_ bigger. I get what you're saying but I don't think it would really matter that much anyways. 1080p screen, not very powerful and a small screen. Nothing really pushing that battery.

I'm looking for something cheap 8'' tablet that has the cpu/gpu power to run that application . if you don't see it in the play store it may not qualify for reliable drone flying . let me know .thanks :)

I have it andi like it. Mine in the Tmobile version. I have it to my brother and her likes it a lot as well. Great little tablet and I love the 8.4 inch screen. I loved and still use my Galaxy Tab S 8.4 from 2014. I love Samsung 8.4 inch tablets although the Tab Pro 8.4 was kind of disappointing but the other 2 that I mentioned are both pretty great. The only thing I don't like about this tablet is the screen resolution but even then that's still very usable. The 2014 Tab S 8.4 and Tab Pro 8.4 both had 359ppi screens that looked excellent. Still other than the resolution on this 2020 tablet is still pretty good. Nice tablet and very nice for the price. It's pretty fast and nice to use. I like it and I gave it to my brother and her likes it a lot.

Naw, Samsung DEX will turn any HDMI monitor into basically a Chromebook, with the DEX device acting as a touchpad and keyboard. I even used it on a 7" Feelworld monitor.

How do you turn on the screen or wake the screen from sleeping without using the power button? I'm not found a way to do this yet and I read someone say something about you can use the Google Assistant to wake it by saying Hey Google but I don't know how to set that up yet. I'd appreciate some tips because always use the power button can wear it out quickly. MINES atand t if it matters.

I have an account with that red looking app called play movies for android….. I only have like 30 movies bought so far… they take up good space on my phone because I downloaded the movies on to the phone where I could watch them with no signal….. If I get this tablet which only comes with 32 gigs and I put an SS card of 128 gigs….. would I be able to download the movies on to the SS card to keep the tablet clear of excess data?

You should be able to! It's Google TV now for the record I think, but I'm pretty sure you can just go into the settings and change the download location to the SD card.

Tab a 8.4 is so thin! I never held such a light tablet. Running android 11. The dislike I have with it is sound. It's plenty loud its just doesn't seem balanced. I have a tab s4 and s10e both have great sound and doesn't feel like its coming from just one direction. So if only the tab a 8.4 didn't have only bottom firing speakers. The other complaint i have is when there is no sim card in the slot. There is always a notification reminder that keeps popping every hour or so. That is annoying. The chipset not the greatest but it is satisfactory. Only get it if there are sales on the unit. It's still worth a buy for light use.

I think I can say so. Yes. Definitely better for media consumption. Not just because of the bigger screen, but the speakers have more depth. I heard these are louder though from FishBee Productions.

The AT&T version has Bixby. Try swiping all the way from left to right on the home screen and you might see the Bixby screen.
