Just ordered mine on amazon for 209.99 plus tax 8GB RAM 128GB super excited to try it out. Great video, thank you. Upgrading from a Galaxy Tab A hope my daughter likes it.
@@TimJ201 Actually according to tech websites such as PhoneArena, 9to5Google, GizmoChina, and SamMobile there is actually a Tab S6 Lite 2024 coming soon, and it's understandable after seeing the massive success it has been with being Samsung Cheapest Tablet with S Pen Support. The Tab S6 Lites $250 is more affordable for most consumers than the $400-$450 Tab S9 FE
Is the Tab S6 Lite still working well for you? I'm thinking of buying the S6 Lite 2022 since it has a Snapdragon Processor compared to the supposed Exynos 1280 in the Tab S6 Lite 2024
@@typhoon_8086The S6 lite 2022 is still a nice tablet (pen, size, feel) yet multitasking on the A9+ 8/128Gb version is next level. Also mind that the Snapdragon 695 is faster than the 720 combined with 4Gb extra RAM is a significantly faster tablet in use (much faster than the benchmarks suggest). Own both, benchmarked both.
Nice demonstration. As for me, I was undecided between the S9FE and the S9, then I chose the S8 thanks to your advice. A very pleasant tablet, even if I'm still getting to know it. 👍
The price difference and newer model made the difference for me in recently choosing the A9+ over the S6 Lite (also based on your reviews). Best Buy had the 128GB/8GB version on sale for $219 (same price as the lower-end S6 Lite 64GB/4GB model), it was a year newer (2023 vs. 2022, which means more future security updates), and the screen is slightly larger. I have a Note10+ phone and hardly ever use the S-pen, so figured I could skip it on the tablet. It works well for my simple tablet needs - checking email and browsing the web around the house when I'm not near my more powerful main desktop computer. I would have to go up to $299 to get an S6 Lite with the same memory capacities and it would end-of-life with security updates sooner too. Once you put the tablet in a case, it doesn't really matter what the back material feels like. My old iPad Air had a beautiful aluminum case, but it always wore a case and so it felt the same as this new A9+ in its rubber case.
That's a reasonable opinion regarding this decision battle, and I used exactly the same arguments as you and opted for the A9+. S6 Lite is a good hardware, but, pay almost the double to receive a mid aged tablet with little differences, didn't seem fair to me ^^
UPDATE: Two days with my A9+, installed and ran all the apps and games I need, and... Samsung made some witchcraft with this gadget XD. For it's price and specs, it delivers more than expected. I have had some entry level tablets from Samsung before, and they were laggy, like a native resource, lol. But this one deserves compliment. Unfortunatelly here in Brazil is only produced de 4Gb/64Gb version, even the color is only offered in black... anyway, if this version is good, imagine the 8Gb/128Gb!!!
I bought the A9+ 8GB/128GB because I was in the mood to get another tablet. It is fast for a tablet in this category. it really feels like an entry level midrange tablet. I use the display at 60hz (which is still really smooth) to improve SoT life by about 90 minutes. I use a Lenovo P11 Plus 4GB/64GB as my daily driver and the A9+ is just a little bit slower. Both of these tablets are much faster and smoother than the S6 Lite 2022 Anyone trying to spend less than $300 for a tablet the 8GB version is definitely the way to go.
I got the P11 Plus before this, I found this one has a much inferior display and not as smooth in operation. Thinking about returning it. For just another 100 bucks I can get Ipad 9.
@@hakan5687 the A9+ is nice I have the display set at 60hz and I went into developers options and set all the animations at .5.. There aren't many displays as nice as the one in the P11 Plus when it comes to IPS displays I use the A9+ as a backup to the P11 Plus. If I were you I'd keep the P11 Plus as your daily driver and use the A9+ as a backup tablet. Stay away from iPads they are junk
The SD720 is a tad slower compared to SD695. The numbering might suggest otherwise. The S6 lite has a higher quality feel and the pen. Yet the A9+ is imho (8/128) the better tablet.
I had the tab a9 plus , Galaxy Tab S9 ultra, and the tab s9 fe and sent back the ultra and the a9 plus and kept the s9 fe because the price dropped to $270 on the Samsung website and it satisfied my tablet needs
@josepha9296 I went on the Samsung app and the price for the 9 fe was cheap already in my opinion for like $ 384 but once I proceeded to purchase the tablet a message popped up on the top part of the screen say I was being rewarded a discount price of $284.99 and I'm not sure why it was a surprise sale once I officially added it to the cart .
@josepha9296 it was some kind of surprise sale to me because I didn't expect it to be that cheap. It showed a price of 300 and something dollars and then when I proceeded to the checkout a message popped up saying something like good news this item is being sold for $270 I still had the option to back out if I didn't want it but because it was even cheaper I just purchased it
@@josepha9296 I just went on the website to try to purchase it again just to see what it would do and I must have caught it when it was on sale because now the price with taxes is 487 and 7 cents
Just ordered the A9+ from Amazon, I already have an A8 , which is pretty good for what I need. I use my PC for most things you see. So My question is this. The A8 takes an age to boot, how does the boot time of the A9+ (to being usable) compare to the A8? Thank you in advance. Great review BTW 👍👍👍
I'm literally going for this over the S9 FE for the headphone jack... something that's very important for me (I forget charging my wireless earbuds, and still want to be able to charge while using headphones) 😬
My S7 plus is showing battery age, needed to be charged twice daily. I went through a trade-in for S9 plus and received a A9 plus as a bonus. Not entirely sure what to do with it yet, perhaps gift it to school kids for thext year.
I have the base model. I got it when I bought my S24 ultra since I had Samsung credit when I preordered. There was no option, but to get the base model buying this with my samsung credits. This was only to serve one purpose for and that was to play videos. I sit in my car a lot and I wanted this to kill time. It doesnt have a lot of internal storage, but it has a SD card slot so I added a 512Gig sd card and moved a lot of movies and TV shows on to it from my PC. Works just fine for that. The only problem I had was playing videos in AVI format the sound and video would get out of sync. I had to re encode all files to be in MP4 or MKV format to solve that issue. Not sure why android has an issue with AVI. I don't use this tablet for anything else so it does what I need and I got it and the SD card for free so the price was right lol.
After using the Tab A8 (64GB), Im considering upgrading to the Tab S6 Lite 2022, but I'm torn between getting the Tab A9 Plus with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of Storage or waiting for the Tab S6 Lite 2024. Is the A9 Plus worth it for the extra 4GB RAM Upgrade or is the S Pen Experience a better value?
For those who have the tab A9+, which pen is the right one?? That can actually work.. i need the tab to take notes at university so please if anyone can help me
Hi how can I stop the orientation from switching on its own, even when ian typing. Very aggravating. I must be doing something wrong and I have only had this tablet a week. Thank you.
Well, I finally bought it and tested it and I must say I'm kind of.. underwhelmed, even disappointed. First, the display is really poor, when scrolling laterally between home screens, there is a lot of "motion blur", text smearing, etc., which is very annoying (especially considering that on my old A7 10.4" it is almost nonexistent). Performance is really not what I expected from 8GB of RAM (I got the 5G version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage), I was expecting it to be at least as fluid as a midrange phone like the A34 I'm using, but there is no comparison... I'm pretty sure I'll return it, albeit reluctantly, because I really needed a good replacement for my A7..
Mine is brand new maybe 3 months. I am disappointed in the ram specifications not being available in philippines. While the way it reads on samsung sizes 8 128 gb available only 4/64 is available. If you work on several android type sites their recommending 8 gig for android 13 14 15 and whatever here. To release a brand name samsung new phone without even minimal standard and the 4G they're using is with this fake expanded ram thing it actually shows a two gig setting in this unit. Battery size too small at 5000 i have a realme cheapo basic phone here to has a 6400 ann8 inch tablet.
I dislike Samsung but i have to give them credit for giving this tablet a proper fast SOC instead of the snoozefests other sub $300 android tablets have. Makes it really stand out for someone who wants the best performance on a budget.
A9+ could have been so much better with a bigger battery. Using the same 7000mAh battery as the old A7 tablet is a deal breaker for me. It's clear they are probably getting rid of leftover batteries with this choice. And those batteries were not great quality either. I have two A7s in my house and both batteries are below 75% health in a couple of years of moderate and occasional use, no gaming..
My A9 plus 8 / 128 GB lags on youtube but when I open the same video on chrome it's smooth. Tried to uppdate youtube app but it's already updated. Deleted cache, as well. Still have lag problem. Any idea or solution 😢
it is embarrassing that they still try to sell another version of the tab s6 lite, while you can go for this with more storage and ram, and hz in the display, for less
You cant play any games like Roblox or third person games as you cant controlsl the camera and run at yhe same time. It has multi touch issues, HUGE design flaw that Samsung will not address!
That's a good one; Im gonna have to make a video on this. The A9+ being a newer tablet, along with the longer support, refresh rate...and so forth make it a better contender for sure, but the p11 plus with the stylus and specs make it pretty nice also. Ill have to pin them against each other.
Its ui updates are shit. U plan on doing gaming? Dont buy. Touch screen is bad. Returned and got a xiamoi pad 6 which is way btter and suits my needs. If u plan on doing anything releated to gaming please dont buy.
@@NelsonWinner-cb3gw yes i scroll on this comment section using universal stylus pen. But dont get the gojodoq ones. Get ones with on/off button on the top. Or get the passive one like Robot made ( i have one aswell)
I took comparison in the store and immediately went straight with the S9 FE, it's just me but I was switching from huawei tablet so the A9 plus screen feels like a severe downgrade for me and it doesn't come with the s pen which is a deal breaker for me (I don't use S Pen that much, mostly using it to make notes on some pic but better to have it than to need it and not have it)
Just so EVERYONE can see the difference between the A9+ 8GB/128GB and the A8 4GB/64GB here are the GeekBench 6.2.2 CPU scores: THESE scores are from my tablets Galaxy Tab A9+ 8GB/128GB SD 695 : Single-core: 898 Multi-core 1809 Galaxy Tab A8 4GB/64GB UNISOC 618 : Single-core: 341 Multi-core: 1297 So what these scores tell use is the A9+ has a 60% faster SoC. How it translates to real world use is that due to One UI we see about a 40% overall performance increase. Hope this helps 😁
