Again a top-end RU-vid video. Just what you need, professional, and convinced me to purchase the Samsung Galaxy3 Watch, true to his word it is great. I have had a fitness watch after fitness watch, this is easily the most user friendly when it comes to watches.YES!! I finally found a watch for HIIT. Would love to see a video incorporating the MyZone belt. The two products complement each other. Also, HIIT video using the watch features.
Amazing review. I have an Apple Watch but a Galaxy S20+ so I have to use my Apple Watch with my wife's old iPhone. Seeing this video I'll definitely buy the Watch 3 and end all the double usage madness(just don't like iOS as much, I like Android more and was a long term Apple user earlier). My main reason to buy a smartwatch is fitness tracking and I was a bit apprehensive about Watch 3's fitness tracking as people go on and on about Apple being the best for it. But your video really helped in showing all I can expect out of it, I am more than satisfied. Thank you so much. Wishing you all the best for all that you ever look forward to do. Cheers and you seem like such a nice chap too 😊
Nice review mate, just bought this watch! Pretty happy with it so far! Was nice to see Brisbane as well haha, I been in NZ last few years def miss Brisbane! Those stairs at Kangaroo point I used to run them too 🤣then back to south bank over the bridge and towards Towong which is where I used to live! Great city for fitness, miss the weather as well haha!

Hey Ray, I'm glad to see that you're safe and doing well. I've been with you since you first got the Frontier :D How are you liking the watch 3 since making this video and how does it compare to the frontier for you? My husband's doesn't track steps and distance as accurately as my frontier :/
Hey Nabiyah1, good to hear from you. My Frontier died from water damage. I love my Watch 3. I haven't noticed a big difference between the Frontier and my new Watch 3. If my Frontier hadn't died I would have stayed with it. The watch 3 does have a water lock feature, so hopefully that will help it last longer. Do you have any idea why your husband's Watch 3 doesn't track steps and distance as accurately as your frontier?
@@RayHope Thank you so much, I just subscribed. You definitely did a good job testing that watch. Before I didn't know how to use all the exercise in the watch but you explained well. Next I hope you did same test for Samsung watch 4 and Apples watch.
Thanks so much! I'm thinking about buying this watch, but can you tell me if watch 3 really track your calories based on your heart rate or just based on some calculation method like older versions of samsung watches?
So in phone you can choose your workout to snowboarding. But samsung healthy app in the watch dont have that option. I would want that because i want to measure my heart rate when im snowboarding. Do you know how to get more work outs to the watch?
Does the stopwatch feature not show tenths and hundredths? Is there a way to start/stop using manual buttons instead of a countdown like it showed when you started walking?
That wasn't the Stopwatch app. The countdown start is just for starting tracking an activity like walking, running, cycling etc. The Stopwatch app shows hundredths of a second and has start, stop, lap, resume, reset buttons that show on the screen.
My watch 3 is counting so many extra steps and I'm not even moving.. im at work and I do shipping so I'm moving my hands quite a bit. Walked 200 steps by just doing shipping for about 2 minutes... any advise?
What are you doing while you do shipping? Are you sitting down at a computer? I've noticed my watch thinks I am bike riding when I push a trolley or a pram. Sometimes it thinks I am bike riding when I drive a car.
@@RayHope im just standing in 1 spot putting stuff in boxes and taping them. Wish it only counted wrist movement when you're physically moving on the gpa
So I thought my Watch3 was already tracking me and my heart rate. I didn't realize you had to enable the record workout . So after an hour of running I had no workout recorded . 😂
I haven't seen that as an option. I did notice on one walk I did, the map appeared as soon as I got home and my watch connected to my phone by Bluetooth. Perhaps if you start the app while connected to your phone and it gets your location it might grab the map. I'll give it a try.
@@paint747 I tried starting a walk while connected to my phone by Bluetooth, waited till it got a GPS lock and then went out for a walk. You can't see the map while in walking mode, you have to wait till you hit the finish button. I tried that while outside away from my phone and the map did not show.
I'd like to monitor what heart rate zone I am in while working out. Will the watch show you the hr zone during your workout, or only as a review afterwards?
Yes the watch can show your current heart rate and heart rate zone while using it in workout mode. You can edit the display for each workout and choose what it displays. Options also include Avg heart rate and Max heart rate.
I got this watch the other day, haven't really tested in detail like you....I am kinda disappointed it doesn't accurately checks the reps if at all... I also looked about a jumping rope exercise and it didnt have it on the watch it has it on the phone only. Found online that someone reached Samsung to ask them about that and when they would add it on the phone as well so it can track your pulse and they answered they wont because they want to keep it simple. Which is total BS answer to me. This is my first smart watch and I thought technology is good enough by now and worth it but I am afraid it needs years more of improvement sensors etc and for now is more just a toy.
Thanks for the review! I just have some questions as I have the first Samsung galaxy watch & I'm looking to upgrade to another fitness watch. No matter what I'm doing when I track my workouts, the watch loses my heart rate at some point where it is completely not tracked. Have you found this with the Galaxy watch 3? Also, I found that when tracking calories during workouts, the first galaxy watch just generically tracks the average cals burnt depending on what workout you select rather than basing it on your heart rate (so I'd always burn 116 calories after half hour of circuit training regardless of whether I was sat down or working out really hard) which is really frustrating! Is this the case with this watch too? Thank you!
For the call tracking the Galaxy Watch 3 uses the same software as the Galaxy Watch, S Health, so it would do the same. You might be able to find another app that tracks it better.
