After using this for a full month, Galaxy Z Fold 6 Honest Real User Review! Please share your thoughts, questions, and comments, and enjoy my month later review!
Yeah It seriously bothered me until I bought it and now it doesn't faze me. The benefits of the phone far outweigh the crease i only see when the screen is off. And I don't ever have the inside open not using it.
it's like when phones started to have notches, EVERYONE complained about it then suddenly stopped once they got used to it after a few months of actually using it
I've been an Apple user for many years. I own everything from Apple. Then I wanted to try something different and bought this Z Fold 6. And I have to tell you, I love it. I don't even want to touch my iPhone anymore. At this point, I feel like Samsung is doing better than Apple.
I recently took a trip from US to UK. I fully charged my phone but used it folded to preserve battery. The battery life on this phone is a beast. Lasted me 27 hours and still had 19% left...
Most videos are complaining about the fold, six in a bunch of different ways. I finally got one myself. And this thing is an absolute beast. The only thing that p***** me off is that it doesn't come with the pen wtf???. 2 is and samsung can't throw in it pen cmon
Completely disagree with "they should make a bigger version".I hope they don't make it wider. It's the only modern phone where you can actually use it one handed when it's closed and handling is great. You want wider? Open it up. If you want a bigger folded screen, go buy one the new S phones.
Nice to see someone say the benefits of having a small front screen. Switching from Apple to the fold soon just because it would be better for reading books. I doubt Apple will make a fold because it will eat away the sales of the IPad … so I’m out.
At first the narrow single front bothered me. Its been 6 months now and honestly it makes sense. If you want a bigger screen all u have to do is literally open it.
Yeah i really like the front screen because you can one hand it...and the brightness and color's are beautiful....watching this from my fold 6 my first folding phone
We all would love the Ultra cameras but then i guess we get a thicker/larger phone and that Samsung don´t like. Like you say i am in the Camp that like the "smaller" front display that is easy use with one hand and solid size display when you open it up and need larger one. Design they nailed it this year, design itself for me was worth the 2500$ it cost around here.. :) If you into Folds Samsung is the king, if not there is many better ones with larger battery and better cameras out there. Use my ip 15 Pro for video still but other than that it lacks on most fields compare to my fold.
I moved from iphone 15 p/m and was sceptical at first thinking what have i done. The cameras are a downgrade, which im not overly happy about, but the battery is fine after a few weeks. After a month th of using the fold6 im not going back to apple.
I'm coming from an S21 Ultra but I can only get $600 for my phone. I think I'm going to wait it out until Black Friday and see if they have a better deal. I honestly can't think of a reason to trade out other than gimmicks like the fold. All of these phones pretty much do the same thing which is why I never upgraded or had a reason to. They tell you it's hardware, better camera, etc but it's barely even noticeable to the average person.
Even though the Fold 6 hasn’t gotten the August security update, it does still have the latest from Samsung One UI in the 6.1.1 update and no other Samsung phone has that update yet…
To be honest with you. It does get frustrating at certain times when you're trying to take a picture because it could get complicated and the cameras are z-fold six has are there and they're okay and decent I've taken a spectacular photos with my phone but like you stated in your video. I do wish I had Flagship cameras on this phone because it's the Z line. It's more expensive and it offers a lot of good stuff and they should have Flagship cameras, but we have to see how it does in the Korean market when they release the special edition, which supposed to be bigger with an 8 inch display on the inside and a 6.5 in display on the outside and it's going to be thinner as they will be removing the S Pen digitizer. They will only be selling it in South Korea and China for now and rumors have said it will have a flagship style camera, but we'll see how it does in those markets and hopefully they release a variant in the west and Europe.
It's odd to me that the cover screen discussion is still going on. It's a purposeful design choice by Samsung, like Apple's notch. They are the one foldable manufacturer that sees the inner display as the main screen and the cover display as the secondary screen. This is in their promotional and informational materials about the phone. It's not something they're going to change because another company took a different design, and I commend them for keeping their design language and not following trends. Every other foldable on the market opens up to a worse experience than a Fold because Samsung has prioritized that experience when opened up. They either have cameras obstructing the display, don't have robust multitasking and power-using features like DeX, and Galaxy AI, don't have pen access, and don't have Good Lock. A conversation on why Samsung makes this design choice and philosophy would be so worthwhile. 5:09 Ultra Thin Glass is glass, not plastic. We can make ultra thin and flexible pieces of steel that can be bent by hand. It's still steel. The same goes for flexible glass.
Yes its a nice experience with the cover display and easy to one hand, also the cover and inner display feel polished and purposely designed to work separately or if you want they can work in continuity, this is a great foldable and the best yet from Samsung, which is why I upgraded! Thanks for your comment!
I switched from the z fold 4 and, I'm so glad. I did cause the battery life is better the gracias and camera are very good and the main screen is a bit bigger so makes it more comfortable to text for sure just love it so much more. I can't see myself going back to a normal phone again cause the multitasking is what, i use daily and a small screen doesn't cut it for me. I always have like 4 to 7 or sometimes 8 apps open. All that said. I'm very happy I got this phone now. I can wait like 4 more years or so to get the next best fold of Samsung
Samsung has totally developed a way to reduced the black bars on their folding phones. There's really only one way to do it....chop the top and bottom parts off and rebrand it. Maybe call it the flip or something.
After using the fold 3 and 4 that the grease start cracking without using the inner open screens for more than 5 times per week, I have basically lost the quality trust until something more breakthrough will be released
I'm getting mine today, I'm so excited about it. My Z fold 4 broke, but that was my fault. If I didn't made the mistake, I would still be using it and not upgrade to fold 6.
Been a iPhone user for 10 years and getting bored of the same design, thinking of upgrading to the z fold 6 how is battery for a heavy user social media RU-vid and music ect without gaming and using the big screen much
It kinda amazes me that people are complaining about the price, when they'll pay $1,200 for a phone with one screen. With this if used a certain way you have access to 3 screens and the software is the best in the business.
If by most people you mean those in the USA only, then yes, most people are getting massive discounts. But this would be a very limited point of view. The simple truth is that for the rest of the world, Samsung discounts are really very bad by comparison.
I just can't stand how it's been the same phone since like the fold 3. I traded my fold 4 in for a OnePlus open and I've been really happy. A true flagship camera for one, better battery life, faster charging, Samsung just doesn't give anything for the money anymore.
Coming from pixel 6 I was also chosing between the two, but I also had screen size in my check list and can you guess which one I went with. Had the fold 6 for a week now and it's been a blast, miss some pixel features, but the fold camera really is good enough, at least for me. I'd recommend you checkout the fold in person, it's a very tempting peace of hardware
If you want a good camera, the choice would be the Pixel between those two, but Pixels do poor video, so it's only better in stills. What do you mean by connectivity?
That second part on the simcard slot my fold 5 & 6 has the same thing but it's for the esim in Australia & no need to go into settings for extra brightness I go the 3 dots then turn off adaptie then extra brightness shows in leave mine on but use the adaptive toggle to switch between it
I agree think this is the best version if this phone need a new tablet looking just to get this device and replace my phone and tablet currently an s22 ultra
Phone is not ipx8, it's ip48. First galaxy fold to have dust resistance. How do you get that wrong man? Huge deal to bork that detail. Means now I have no idea how accurate everything else you say is.
@@ryan2824Despite supposedly better camera hardware, the Fold has won the majority of shootouts with the One Plus. If you prefer OnePlus, or like a wider screen, go with it, but when it comes to matters of software, which the camera and battery depend on, no matter what specs the hardware says, Samsung is king.
The s24 Ultra is definitely the phone of the year but the Fold 6 is the multi tasking king. Can't lose either way. But nothing outperforms the s24 Ultra right now.
I think if you wanted a wider displays you should go to another manufacturer, I think Samsung is trying to be 1 of 1. The Zfold is a tablet that has a phone , not a phone that has a tablet.
Its just not good enough for the price, i paid £200 more than the cost of this price and i got the s24 ultra and s9 tab ultra. Infinitively better decision until they actually release a good fold
Yeah, if you want to gamble on them. Samsung's hardware reliability blows every other Fold design out of the water currently. I like my inner screen to last. Still using my Z Fold 3 from launch and going strong. 💪
Nah. I charge once a day. It carries me all the way through till the next day which is when I put it on the charger. As of now, I charged my phone to a 100 around 10 am, it is 10:30 pm, I'm at 63 percent. I won't put it on the charger till tomorrow morning sometime.
Same! Looking to upgrade my Note10 plus. I'm not really impressed with the Fold 6 so far especially all that's lacking( what you stated) for the price of almost 2k. S24U seems to be way more valuable and costs less.
