I have a good back story why I decided to buy IWI Galil Ace Gan 2 in 556. I have a PWS Diablo ( 762x39), and just got notice my CMMG MK47 is being built and shipped. This video helped me decide on Galil Gen 2. Thank you for Larry
I love this youtube channel, you provide a lot of information about the weapons and the videos are entertaining to watch. But probably my favourite part about your channel is you never get political. Just pure firearms videos that everyone can enjoy :)
Yes RK95 is excellent but it has a milled receiver and is very heavy. The side folding stock also goes loose very often. Most of the guys in my squad during my 1 year in the Finnish army had to switch their RK95's at least 2 times. No other problems though, weight and folding stock were the only issues.

Galil Ace, es tecnología de la industria militar israelí (IWI), pero fabricado en Colombia. Excelente arma , para combate combate urbano, o en espacios cerrados.
Indumil Galil ACE is an assault rifle designed and developed by the Colombian military industry, based on the previous version, the Galil AR. ... It is the main weapon of the Armed Forces of Colombia and the National Police of Colombia. Ammunition: 5.45 x 39 mm 5.56 × 45 mm NATO ... Rate of Fire: 680-880 rounds / min (ACE ... "Designed and developed". No. Produced in Colombia, Ukraine and Vietnam along other variants and local customization, yes. It's a rifle with noticeable improvements, and that's it, but still an Israeli derivative of the Kalashnikov. The modification of weapon systems has always happened in the US and other countries with that specific platform and others in fact, so it isn't a new development other than improvements introduced on a pre-existing system by those who have the tooling. Denel in South Africa, for instance, introduced practically the same improvements on their Vektor R4, yet it remains a Galil improved and produced in South Africa. Just to mention a single instance. I'd use the words "design and development" if I were speaking about creating stuff from scratch, even if the platform uses mechanical principles found in other weaponry. Like, say, the Stoner 63.
Could someone explain the difference between the pistol and the rifle ? I keep seeing "pistols" or SBR's, but they seem like the manufacturer just changed the name
Daniel Johns in the US rifles need barrels 16” or longer. Shorter than that, you need to register it under NFA as a SBR. The “pistol” deal done since rifle isn’t denoted by caliber. So...if you make a receiver, sell it as a “pistol”, it can have a shorter barrel. Just like your other handguns. The “brace” was an idea to make a device someone can mount to a pistol and shoot it attached to their arm. Thus a “pistol brace”. Then...it got even more convoluted. What happens if you take a “pistol brace” and place it against your shoulder? Well...how you “use” a device isn’t remanufacturing the device. The only catch is getting braces approved by the BATFE. There are some things they look for. I have skipped over a lot, but this should help. One more thing. Gun receivers exist as rifle or handgun. So...you can’t treat your “rifle” like a pistol and outfit as such without NFA approval. Marky
Daniel Johns Pistol = no stock (can have a stabilizing brace) or front straight grip, but needs no registry SBR = can have a stock and a front straight grip, but needs to be registered with the BATF and you gotta pay a US$200 tax stamp. Also, some states won't let you bring your NFA items into their territories, which won't happen if it's considered a pistol
luis gutierrez This is a newer design, not everything can be available. I said "many" customization options i.e gunsights PEQ boxes, foregrips, barrels etc; not "everything can be customized inside and out". In the near future, it will be just as customizable as an AR. Customization options for AKs themselves are still considered limited in their own right and can be hard to obtain. For the most part, certain AK modifications may or may not have to be sourced from Russia. Customization options for an AR can be found anywhere, and the Galil ACE has a lot of influences from the AR platform, which creates the possibility that this could be modified like an AR would be. There are already, in fact, many handguard options for this rifle, as well as the AR platform.
I'm impressed. I'm left handed 🖐🏻 the ambi features are ✅. The noise & muzzle blast in CQB may be a problem but the compact design is a decent trade off. The ACE 5.56mm would be great for vehicles, aircraft, tight spaces.
7.62x39 is the way to go with this gun. That round is a one shot stopper is cheap and goes through most material like it's made of cheese. It's also a really heavy rifle still even though they saved all the weigh compared to the previous one
MW 2019 the CR-56 Amax remember if you are a call Duty Modern Warfare player he has reviews on kilo 141 HK-433 Bizon AN-94 SIG-552 Vector Famas & AX-50.
Thanks Larry for always bringing the centerfold gun porns! Wish we could have that Galil Pistol in CA. I read about this on TacticalLife and this is about as close as I can get, seeing it in action.
Man Israel makes some good weapons! IWI Ammo is some of the best Preforming and cleanest out there. It’s time to buy an IWI platform I’m stuck between a Tavor and the Galil. Decisions decisions
Great weapon system for sure. Cadillac of any Ak variant without a doubt. I would personally like to see a 11"- 12" barrel version. 5.56 needs a longer barrel to be a ligament hitter. Cool weapon though I've already added 1 maybe 3 to my zombie list because it's 5.56.
Nice video men, thanks, you can try to make a video of the 23, and i live in colombia and i listened the galil has created in colombia about the 2009 to replace the galil ar to one galil with picatinny rails
this ace galil is orginally from colombia, with 100% colombian materials and tecnology design, but IWI just have and accord with the country for comercialize it
On that open and closing door where the charging bolt is riding on...I would round off the edges on the TOP AFT part of that door..it seems as though the charging handle will end up catching on that squared off edge of that door..nice feature though...don't get me wrong..the platform looks great...its just that, I'm not too satisfied with some of the materials used on it..if in fact what I suspect of it is a fact.
Believe it or not, never catches. Very similar to the FNC. Tim Harmsen does a torture test, never hangs up. Its been around for several years, everything holds up.
“Your kinda folk” 🤔 must mean ar owners haha. Sweet rifle, my only question is what’s up with the irons? The front post is so much lower then the rear?
5:48 the English language simply doesn't have the words to describe how fuckin' awesome that is !!! I don't know who you hired to do your editing but he's doing a more than perfect job ! Christ he's talented with sequences and sounds, he has my admiration ! That is the true definition of Gun Porn ! (P.S. Watching this, I can't help myself but to imagine a zombie movie with a bunch of Commandos emptying their mags at a swarm of zombies and make it bloody like in Quentin Tarantino's movies)
MADE IN COLOMBIA...the engineers of the Colombian Military Industry (Indumil), the company in charge of manufacturing the rifles, began looking for a way to convert the AR model. The advances developed with Colombian technology and innovation were presented to the Israeli government, which authorized the transformation of the rifle.
No, it is not Colombian made, IWI licenses Colombian manufacturers to build them locally in Colombia. The Galil ACE is an Israeli design implemented from the Russian AK and Finnish Valmet RK.
@@Spartan536 the transformation of galil assault rifle in his variant ACE was 100% colombia iniciative and design, taking in to account te requests and experiences of thousands soldiers in colombian army during the national conflict. Is sad the desinfornation of the people about this, in this case IWI have not particicpation in design cause was promoved by indumil with and especialized team of more than thousand colombian engineers. Project begun in 2008 year. IWI just have an accord for comercialize it just investigate more about that man. Good day.
Impulset0 yeah, hard to see the casing during the first part of the video if they are ejecting and getting damaged, but I noticed also some brass marks on the upper behind the ejection port. This will be an inconvenient for people that reload their cartridges.
