Gallaudet professors say they are being severely underpaid 

So very saddening news! For every GU professor that works so very hard, this decrease in salaries is totally unfair to each professor as they should be paid the same as the other Govt funded universities in the same area. Hope this gets resolved very soon.

WTF, the admin at Gallaudet gets paid more than admins at other universities, while it's the opposite for faculty? Wow, that's some serious greed right there.

Thanks, Alex! Hope to see an update. It's kind of a catch 22 situation - whatever the outcome is, it will have its downside.

To tell the truth, deaf education world is meeting its doom in economy chaos, hyperinflation, outrageous cost of living, rampart corruption, national debts and political stupidity. Helping deaf education concerns is the federal government's last priority. In the future, the federal government may stop supporting the deaf education community. Also, the number of enrollment in every US university will be slumping drastically because of exorbitant tuition fees. A few millions of students who have heavy debts from education are incapable to make a good future. Also, it is impossible for them to have a new family in the future. Very tragic.

I wonder if it’s can affect on MSSD and KDESD staff faculties? Since they are under Gallaudet. I really wonder about that

Do not assume greediness at Gallaudet. Faculties required more services of interpreting for faculties, staff, students, CC and different communication tools that are costly Take your pick. Communication accessibility is not FREE to accommodate everybody’s linguistic needs Salaries take or leave. It is your call

That is interesting. The Gallaudet University President gets paid more than our President at the White House I wonder is it because the federal government funded less and less now since DPN movement expected Gallaudet assumed mire responsibility of seeking more funds to help paying more for faculty members. The deaf faculty members are required to obtain doctoral degrees to work as professors there. Why pay them less?
