Now it’s the changing time as we now live in our 21 st Century society. In my own recognition, there is the powerful best film about Gallaudet University as our worldwide symbol of our deaf world and our deaf nation with successes and potential chances in positive opportunities in a fact in our reality. Regards, Christa D’Auria, GUAA member who is the member of Gallaudet University’s Class of 1981 with B.A. in double majors of Biology and Chemistry.✨👋👋😊👍👍
Wow! That was just amazing! I went to Gallaudet 26 years ago and loved my experience back then. This film makes me want to become a Gally student all over again! Be proud. That was just an incredible film from conception to distribution. Chills! Kuods! Hand waves! ~ LaRonda Zupp
August 31, 2010 Hi Filmmaker(s)... Good job making this film and doing the editing. Incredible talent!!! Not one scene was wasted. This film should have been on CNN News a few weeks ago to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the ADA law.
Wow! This is a beautiful film. Even though it had no sound I was drawn in by it and the feeling it was trying to create. This seems like a truly wonderful school!
I'm speechless! This film really inspired me and gave me flashback what my experience was like even thank my parents for encouraging me going there. Good job on making this excellent and well said film. It may impact young deaf/HOH generations.
This video is so inspiring. I can't get over with the film. It feels like I'm a ghost or something like that wanders around the Gallaudet University. I like how the ending part says "You Are Gallaudet" It makes me want to be one, too!
An incredible and amazing film - finally, something that squeezes everything wonderful about Gally. I especially love how the camera work is fluid and floating - like the camera is constantly moving on a frothy sea. Opening the Manny's poetry is awe-inspiring. Great work - great message!
This made me want to go to Gallaudet as an undergrad. I was sad to learn that only Deaf students are accepted as undergrads there. I loved learning ASL and this video proves that the Deaf community is beautiful and bright in every way.
Great film! How professional! I know that the gallaudet is very good place for deaf people. I would like visit gallaudet university. Greeting from Berlin, Germany! I love american people
Noooo! They destroyed the Subway! BTW, I want that office when I finally open up my shingle. :) Truly remarkable film; one made in high quality and with meticulous attention to detail. One that we all can be proud of its contribution to the continuing advancement of Deaf cinematic efforts.
This so beautiful film that can inspiring them and I am so sure that lot people really want to go to GU for their goals and also view their future with ppl in the world.
This is only tip of iceberg. To be Gallaudet student, you will experience the transformative power of this unique university. To Gallaudetians and Alumni, spread the love!
I'm sooo signless! So many times I wanted to return for 1 or 2 more years. 4 yrs ain't enuf. Question, that possible white building besides, what will it become? Homecoming, Spirit Week and Rockfestival... the best best best part of life exp! Kudos to the film crew, great endeavors! Let's do Bison Song !
@bammerburn The area on 6th Street & Florida Ave is called City Center Market - you're correct that for years, Subway has been successful in that area. Lately, the city has exhibited an interest in revitalizing the area with mixed retail/residential projects that would overhaul the area. Gallaudet is playing a role in this project in order to ensure that Deaf people be part of this revitalizing process. This is why you see the cameo of Subway ... Heck, in new area, Subway will be there. R-
Wow, so beautiful AWESOME inspiring film!!! Is there any electric engineering credits in Gallaudet University? More than 10 stars on this video!!!! Thank you so much for sharing with us all!!!
Sorry to say, I may know sign language but I can't follow everything they are saying because i am vision impaired and can only see some. This video needed captions for me and others who need it. Just my opinion.
Awesome video!! I wish someone can make a video for Deaf school (K to Grade 12) Because of low number of students in every year. Most hearing parents don't have any experience with deafness, and many in the medical field tell them to try to 'fix' their child. I can make a video but I need to know if someone already made one?
@Tyiranie Why RIP? That area will undergo a transformation into a mixed-use retail/residential -- so why not Subway relocate to a brand-new location in the same area, eh? R-
@njskater17 I must disagree with you. Gallaudet has a wonderful education program. For those deaf, Deaf and hard of hearing that are truly passionate in getting a good education...Gallaudet offers a lot. It's all about what you put into it. A person can go to Harvard and not get a good education if they don't put their heart and soul into it. Please don't single out Gallaudet this way.
Yes there is an excellent one- Through Your Child's Eyes: American Sign Language- look it up! But you're welcome to make another one! Please share with us when you do! :)
@Masterhunkstud I question your claims. I met many hoh students with disabilities at Gallaudet and they are treated equally and with respect. It probably has something to do with your attitude. R-
Great short. However, I'm wondering about the reason behind targeting the Subway for elimination; isn't it a bit more expedient to flick aside the adjacent ghetto corner store, or the abandoned fried chicken shack, or one of the abandoned, ruined rowhouses? Why eliminate the most successful adjacent business?
