My parents (I) owned this, and I watched it over and over when I was young.... this movie teaches me things in my "old" age.... everyone has a purpose.
I had this movie on VHS and the last time I saw it I was in my early teens. I love this movie and I’ve been looking for it for years and finally found it.
I remember borrowing the VHS of this from the library nine years ago. At least the characters look more appealing that "Antz" or "A Bug's Life" in my opinion.
As much as I wanna hate Antonim, I can't help respecting him for 2 reasons. 1: He admitted out loud that he was wrong for doubting Shando about the vanterviper. 2. When the ants thought he saved the egg, he could've lied and taken all the credit, but instead he full out confessed that it was Shando who rescued the egg.
My FFFF (Feature Films For Families 1994 VHS (1999 Reprint) Has 30 minutes of this removed, making it 65 mins. Long, rather than 95 mins like this one.
I remember watching this on Nick Jr. once, ages ago. Seeing it now though, boy, this movie is crap. The songs are terrible and happen every two minutes, the dialogue is clunky and the pacing is bad (for the entire first half of the film hardly anything happens at all). And on top of that, the main character is nothing but a lazy, immature, ungrateful little shit!
