Well the election did get stolen

We truly deserved the soft domestic shit after the stuff they went through and I don’t mind the "after the wedding they had a hard time adjusting to a healthy relationship" storyline but what I do mind is Ian acting annoyed at mick basically half the season despite him being madly in love with him in season 7, and Mickey acting like a spoiled brat in the first few episodes despite him not being lazy at all in the other seasons. It was just so unnecessary.. also the fighting wouldn’t be that bad if we got to see some communication afterwards but all we got was sex lol..

I love the last two episodes tho

Actually, the Gallavich storyline was fun to watch. The rest of the characters I just fast forward.

The whole show had politics. Frank was dependent on social services and hated working, but wanted things like stricter immigration (he has quite a few conservative talking points while on Alibi stools). Ian has always been left-leaning. Heck, he was represented by a Che Guevara shirt before he went to prison. Mickey is politically out-of-the-loop. Terry is a fascist. They haven’t tried to be subtle with any of the political moments in the show. Almost like they’re Shameless. 😜
