Watched this in Maddens in Belfast. First time I’ve ever seen a hurling game. Don’t understand it myself, but it’s brutal and the fans seem to love it. Crazy game.
This was so great. Standing in the stadium and when Tom got the ball at the last whistle it was just brilliant. Everything about that day was amazing I loved it.
I remember watching the match live in the pub like it was yesterday. Every moment, every goal, every point the whole pub unites and celebrates. I am 12. The last few moments were so tough we could never guess the outcome. When they won I bawled and bawled. ❤️ G’WAN THE TREATY!

In the second half limerick players must have went down 4 or 5 times for about 2 minutes each. The extra minute in added time came from when limerick player went down again in added time

All fair. Limerick's 2 goals from defensive errors and Galway's 2 goals when Limerick were relaxing. It doesn't seem like 45 years since Eamon Creegan and company were playing. Next year will be Waterford, Laois, Dublín or Antrim

This game was a clear example of the way hurling should be played. Plus Galway just expected they'd win easily just because they were the champions. The pressure got to them unfortunately. They just farted around Croke park for the entire game and expected to easily win, whereas Limerick were feisty, hungry, rambunctious, ready, and set on the winning mentality and that was evident from Limerick's first hit over the bar. Albeit, Galway making a nail biting comeback in stoppage time but Limerick seized the day deservedly.
Liam Holton what a ignorant comment, Galway didn’t assume they’d win another all ireland. The pressure didn’t get to them , they had played 9 matches back to back due to replays. They also were carrying a number of injuries. They had a match the week previous to the All Ireland, Limerick has three weeks rest to the final. So they didn’t fart around as you state and assumed they’d win another title. I am a 50 year old woman who has seen the highs and lows for Galway hurlers for many years and I am certainly not making excuses for them. Neither do I begrudge any team winning all Ireland hurling or football title, I was delighted for Limerick and for Tipperary this year. I have seen your other ignorant, nasty comments about the Galway hurling team and it shows you in very poor light. These men are all amateurs who play for the love of the game and the pride of their county and they certainly don’t need silly boys such as yourself making horrible comments that are totally uncalled for.
Well considering Galway have three All Irelands less than Limerick and went 58 years without winning one themselves, your 45 year jibe is just a bit hollow. Unlike the vast majority of Tribes people you show so lttle class.
