If you read the Bible enough you will see that the Father is one, The Son is not The Father (he is the chip off the old block, Jesus and his Father are in the same mind, but are not each other ) and the holy spirit is God's Active force or his breath which he uses to create whatever he wills. Have you not noticed Gamaliel's verdict on Joseph's character? That uppermost in his mind is self-interest. He expects Jesus to have worked to gain wealth, or work to endear himself to those in power to accomplish his supposed destiny, to be king. Jesus disinterest in the affairs of this world which matter to us humans, food, clothing, grand houses, disillusioned him. Jesus preoccupation is to make those interested, to understand the deeper meaning of the word of God.

It doesn’t have to mean he’s referring to chapters like we have now, but they could have had their own organization of the Scriptures (I.e. sections). “Genesis” just means “the beginning,” correct? He could be referring to the beginning of Scripture in the broader sense. Just some thoughts.

I think youre right about lying doctrines we were warned about, john the babtist father did finish out his ministry or duty to the temple according to luke but this contradicts it plus a few other little details that are contrary to scripture

And Mary and Joseph never lived in Mecca. Also, this document is much too wordy for the first century A.D. There was an economy of the written word back then due to the costs of hand copying and educating scribes. This is why we don't find lots of particular details in the Gospel and other Scriptures. The cost of transcribing made writers choose their words carefully. There is some nineteenth-century stylistics in this document as well.

Ask the Holy Spirit to confirm all truth. He may be counted upon to do that faithfully.

You will find very many people these days who, because of having a certain diploma in a field of science, believe that they own the entire field of that science and are pushing their views as with divine authority in all matters (usually, according to the commonly accepted and often money driven official narrative). But Paul persecuted the early christian congregation severely.........I doubt Paul would have done this after studying the scriptures with Gamaliel - if Gamaliel himself had concluded Jesus was the Messiah . I have come to the conclusion that these letters are unfortunately not true but made up 😥

They are famous men of learning, and yet I believe, in certain matters, they are wrong. If I am able to disagree with my professors, surely Saul of Tarsus was able to? Especially since a major part of Jewish Education is teaching the students how to disagree and debate... Paul himself said he was a student of Gamaliel, and he said this after his "Damascus Road" experience. I believe he was deeply ashamed of persecuting and killing Christians, and this was the "Thorn" that he begged God to remove. Also, when Christ met him, He said "It is hard for you to kick against the Goads!" Might these Goads have been some of the things that Gamaliel had tried to teach him, regarding the identity of the Blessed Messiah? That Saul of Tarsus had argued with his teacher, earnestly believing him to be wrong, when he was actually right? I've been in these types of arguments with beloved family members, and they are very real, and painful. However, through it all, we still love and respect each other, giving each other the freedom to think and reason for ourselves! This is at the very heart of a Jewish Education and I believe it is one of the things that has made Jews so great in the Earth... That would show me the opposite , that it may well be authentic. It's written in the Bible that his parents at times thought he was beside himself , of course that was there viewpoint , and not what was really going on. There is also some amazing insight like when Mary was in the presence of an angle she trembled like a leaf , only someone who had experienced that would know that.

And Joseph is never really mentioned anymore. Makes sense that he was jealous of Jesus and thought the worst. As far as them thinking he wouldn't amount to much, it's explained in the letter. They had been taught he would be a literal king, not a spiritual one. The idea of Christ as being here to save our souls wasn't known then. He was to be king of Israel and take over the rest of the world country by country. A military man and great scholar of politics and power. Jesus was more interested in ruling another way.

He judged him lazy because he was all about heavenly things and not the things of the world. Joseph's judgment is Joseph's judgment, not Father's. Joseph was said to be a grump of a man. Sounds to me like a curmudgeon.

When Gamaliel thought Saul even the Apostles didn't know Jesus was the Messiah. Gamaliel did caution the authorities to be careful with the persecution of Christians warning that if it was from God we can't fight God. It was after the resurrection and ascension that many like nicodemus understood the relevance of Jesus as the Messiah

@@platzhirsch4275 The time frame here is Jesus is around 26 yrs of age. Gamaliel was saying this before Paul, before the Apostles knew...he stating he believed he was the Messiah. The bible called Joseph a just man. There are other things as well that don't set well.

The Bible is certainly correct, while Gamalliels take on Joseph is based on his own personal opinion and fallible. Like the book of Enoch, it supports the biblical narrative but is not inspired by the Spirit
