Born is so relaxed with this battle. He's practically fooling around. He already knows he's going to win and only getting serious for a tiebreaker. Wow.
@sincerelymine most of the judges at this battle are not the Floor Gangz type of judges, however: Differ, King So, Skim, Ssack.... I wouldn't say politics.
GOD DAMN.. I never realized just how critical Born's set was in the TieBreaker round.. Shit was insane.. So much fuckin energy with an unmatchable amount of musicality. Now i will put my dispute to the side after 2 years. haha.
@swifi28 2: rhythm is displayed through how well a bboy syncs his movements to the music. it's not hard to tell who had more rhythm between kill and born. take the time to learn the history. you'll find that power was a way to display athletic ability. hear what guys like alienness and ken swift have to say about the key points to hit on when you execute your sets. a lot of character is displayed through stances, poses, rockin, burns, how you begin and end the set, etc.
i think this is the first battle i ever saw born do that many power moves in just 1 battle.wow he is versatile.but doesnt show it.imagine if he wasd to mix this now.power with his style,he would be unstoppable.
yeh that combo was a shoulder halo into a head swipe into a chair flare not a critical. A critical is when you go from a basic freeze/turtle freeze with a rotation back into the basic freeze. this is impressive but before taisuke revealed his criticals
@swifi28 3: you can speak volumes, just by the way you walk into a set. a lot of people will never even understand this. when you see the whole picture you'll notice these things and understand why the judges judged the way they did. you'll realize just how much character cats like born and tino roc have in their dance.
@superiskool I wouldn't call those Chair Flares, Chain Tracks, or Criticals. They all look VERY different. Look up Bboy The End Chairtrack to see what it actually looks like. I'd say this is a completely different move, but idk if there's a name for it.
i wouldnt state about the battle, i'd just say that born's set in the tie breaker, is just incredibly sicker than any of the 3 other bboys could do, it was simple, but just amazing
@TippmanFaith ya i re-read your orginal comment and it looks like i misinterpreted it. When you said those things always beat difficult moves i missed the part where you said "that doesn't have those elements" So ya I take back what I said that you were wrong.
@BboyJJ707 I saw that a long time ago, and that doesn't mean he's right about them being chairflares. The first time I saw that video like 2 years ago like 2 years ago, I knew something was wrong. I still think these should be named as a completely different move. They look more like the criticals Taisuke does except Born does them one hand at a time. It's kind of like how people do airflare one hand at a time, but Bruce Lee can do them with both hands at the same time. So maybe a name like that
@BboyJJ707 *chairtrack. You know what I mean -.- Those look nothing like chair flares, you've seen chairflares before right? -.- THESE are chair flares /watch?v=oBIUxUyoKMY
anyone from the Korean culture probably noticed this, but it seems to me that Bboying is one of the few things in Korea that allows youngsters and teenagers to show disrespect to people older than them and not get beaten up. like, if this wasn't a bboy jam, Kill would get fucked up for talking and shouting like that to Born and Tino Roc, because they're his elders. shows how the Bboy culture can break barriers and really is all about Love!!
because you can make your own style in foot work and top rock to make you difference to another bboy which're very hard to do in style and extremely hard to do in power ... So you can see few of the bboy's successful in power move . in my opinion , in the future , bboy'll tend to do the combination of dance , top rock , foot work and a few tricks just like what's cloud and lilou doing right now ... peace
@AstrayChronicle wth lol born is so amazing hes like" i think im going to just play around" and when its tie braker time hes like, "thats it, smoke tym!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
@Lexabboy you said it was a bboy battle and not a footwork battle. its not a power battle either.... Floorgangz win, please refrain from commenting anymore, ur getting too many thumbs down. :/
i think you gota try apreciate all elements of breakdancing.. footwork to power. kills power was the oposite to boring lol both teams were dope and the best at what they do..
@BboyJJ707 I saw that video awhile ago, too. It doesn't really prove anything; it's just a video of Taisuke doing powers. Funny, I was just about to say I'm done trying to convince you. If you see a real Chair Flare and Born's "chair flares", you'll see a huge difference. Big enough to warrant it as a completely different move, which I say it should be. They are nothing alike.
@koreanNeenja then, style would win everything. because power moves have already been done by others, meaning there is no creativity. the only thing i see that they can make creative out of power moves are how differently they string them together. you cant judge two separate things based on the same standards.
