As a gambler myself i dont know what to do with myself anymore. Its gone past suicide even tho them thoughts has crossed my mind. But what actually happens to myself is my mind becomes so used to accepting and dealing with any type of financially loss from gambling that mentally it tricks your mind into believing its acceptable and ok to lose any amount and you then rely on hope or positivity that maybe you can recover whatever you have lost the next day, i actually think that recovering your money can be the worse thing for you because you believe you can do it all the time. And that thought process keeps you in this fucked up cycle and you end up going round in circles and stuck in a vicious cycle. I started off with football bets played roulette up until about a year ago. Then i was offered a online membership and thats when things spirraled outta control. Now i do horses. Now and then online live casino but more time just horses and football but its killing me coz i lose so much everyday and even quickier and because ive won big amounts online im talking like winning 7k frm 60p 5 horse accumulator(4 outsiders) thats the kind of shit that keeps me involved. Horrible addiction i pray every gambler reading this gets better and i am able to control my addiction and not letting it control me. 🙏🏽 Thanks for the vid m8👍🏾👊🏾

I agree that if you win your money back you end up continuing the cycle of thought, feeling and action. I had a think about this. If you can control the thought and the feeling part of the cycle then the gambling never happens. It's mastering not to do them too. I suppose it's building a resilience to gambling. Then by doing this you feel anger, frustration amongst other things. I believe for some they'll think, but I can control it and only little bet won't hurt once you've stopped gambling. The problem is the thought has occurred. The next bit is the feeling you can win some money. The next bit is you go to the slots bookies or whatever to access to gambling.

Even trading is highly addictive. If you are compulsive like me its best to stop completely. I Don't think trading is as bad as Gambling, but trading is sort of gambling just, not as bad as conventional gambling. But it depends on the person some people make money out of trading, some don't, that's just how it is

Gambling’s ruined me. My mood revolves around if I’m up or not. I’ve lost my life savings in 6 months, I had so many plans for my future. I’ve tried to get help but I just can’t stop. Only reason I haven’t killed myself is because it wouldn’t be fair to my parents. I’m miserable 24/7 now and I have no one to blame but me

Good to see your videos back! Currently in small profit from trading through Geeks. My biggest issue is not cancelling out bad trade and not going in play! I also speak to many people and they are very negative about what I do, it is exhausting! Although did speak to a colleague who when I said your name didn’t criticise me anymore as they were aware that you are not a faker as some comments suggest. Thank you.

Hi Caan, have been following for years, saw every video and read every post, acquired the video pack and saw it over and over, yet this your best video ever. Probably this is will not be the one with most views but this is the topic that answers all the other questions. It all falls back to this and much more could be said. I became consistently profitable not when I studied in depth all strategies and perfected methods of execution but when I focused on the psychology of human automation, pattern breaking and mind fullness. This is probably the first comment I posted on you videos or forum but it had to be done. Congrats and thank you for hitting the nail in the head on behalf of all future profitable traders. See you in the forum, will try to make the "habit" of participating :) PS: btw, for other traders: although so far I've dedicated years of study and practice on this matter it does not mean that every once on a red full moon mistakes are not made. So, as Caan said "don't be too harsh on yourself". This is a continuous path of self improvement with repercussions on all matters on your life, it is meant to be walked on and not exactly attained and then lets forget about it.

I gamble, its very hard to break that loop. My main trigger is the chase, looking for that big win or getting my money back, however I only gamble what I can afford to loose, but I can acknowledge my addiction and after a few mounts I now have a set limit, however some times I go over that limit. Thanks for the information in the video. I should know better I have a degree in psychology and studied human behaviour and addiction. I wish you well if you suffer from gambling.

I think that one big problem is shown up by an experiment that was done with 2 groups of monkeys. One group was always rewarded in exactly the same way when they completed a particular task. The other group was given completely random rewards whether they completed or even performed the test. When the rewards were no longer given to the first group, they stopped performing the task almost immediately. However, when the rewards were no longer given to the second group, they carried on doing the task almost indefinitely, still hoping for the random rewards. I see myself in the second group when I let a trade go IR and it just gets reinforced if I get a favourable outcome making me more likely to do it again..............and again..........

Maybe there is something about the randomness of the wins that make gambling addictive. For example do you think someone would gamble as often if they knew that the amount they would win was a fixed amount say £20 but there was no limit on what they could lose. As opposed to a person who knew that the amount they could lose was £20 but there was no limit on what they could win.

Important life changing advice: You wanna give up on the high St bookies!! Listen carefully this really works. On yr next Birthday, Give Yourself That Very Special Present That No One Else Could Ever Give. Give Yourself The Present Of Never Going Into The Bookies. And it really works, I've beaten the bookies and my 5 years of utter horror. Promises could be broken, will power can be crushed, but when you decide to gift something to yourself on your birthday, that self gift will break the bookies spell.

Addiction is just falling for human weakness no one should wait until they lose big in order to stop betting, for me when I thought of all those years I've spent on that learning period and all the mental stress of big losses, I came to realise that It's not worth it. I would advise people only to bet small stakes they can lose just for fun. Now I took a very long break but I always have that impulse just to make one single big football bet because I need the money but the fear of losing is always stronger even if I fancy a bet and I see a value the % chance of losing makes me frustrated.

On the flip side Ive heard on more than one occasion people boasting about how much they have lost, I would think this is to state how much they can afford to bet and lose, I was recently at Haydock for an afternoons racing, was talking to a chap from Manchester most of the afternoon, he was telling me how much he had lost over the years and seemed almost proud of the fact, Im not surprised though, he bet on every race without looking at any data purely on hunches such as , good trainer , good jockey, needless to say on every race that I was stood with him he lost the lot, now he may well have the resources to be able to do this and get a kick out of it, most people dont , I remember thinking at the time " you would make a rubbish trader," his behaviour highlighted the difference between trading and betting.

Pretty sure Bookie dont love you Caan ,I know you meant to help , but theres a huge point you miss. The serious gambling addicts are not the ones who take pleasure of it , but the ones who enjoy the emptyness of what a loss can do to them and cannot cope with a life without pain . Maybe it is too deep, but I work in a casino myself, and had many talks with different people , and the pattern is always the same , they are only trully satisfied ,maybe the word is not satisfiied ,maybe content, when they have lost everything they have and have a zero to look for , and have to wait for the next Months wager . Someone once told me , you are only real creative when you are real broke and have to come out of it.

Gambling is a problem because even if you win you will spend it back anyway it don't matter if it's one day from the day you won 1 week or 1 month eventually it will go back plus more there's some people who say im going to spend it wisely and buy a car ETC but for some when the money runs out they'll sell there car just to gamble it's truly a never ending cycle i wish every state in the US banned gambling.

When I have no money I somehow, get by until following payday, soon as I get paid, I start gambling, thinking let me atleast get few hundred back from my losses. So I play like 100 and be up like 400, which is great at first, but I cannot seem to walk out with that winning. Until I lost all my money!! And so I'm back to square 1. If I had 10million tomorrow I wouldn't stop gambling, because you just don't stop, I've been gambling for more than 3 decades, gambling becomes part of you, nothing can replace it, the bookies know I can't beat them and I know I can't beat them, but it's all part of the game the buzz, I've been realised over the years I can't stop, I'll never stop, so I just carry on, I don't know why I gamble, I just do.
