As a grizz fan it’s super wild to see wolves fans not talk about how locked up kat was because of the SCHEME and GAMEPLAN by our coaches and exposed that Steven adams was their only advantage I think wolves got high on their own supply after 1 game because adjustments hadn’t been made then once they had it was a 30 piece idk kinda disingenuous not to mention that lol
We (us two) aren’t really big believers in KAT. We know he can be easily game planned for. All opposing teams have had to is put a small on him and he’s neutralized. Truthfully our offense is very shaky (even though rated on of the best out of all the team). Ant and DLO are wildly inconsistent, and KAT’s only good when other teams don’t double or put the smaller center on him. It really comes down to our inconsistent players playing well and then we have a chance to win. No doubt the Grizzlies are the favorites in this series.
Wolves identity has been in flux all season. We are at our best when the game revolves mostly around KAT/Ant in the High Pick 'n Roll. To be very honest, Memphis really didn't make too many adjustments, we just lost the game on our own terms. The Wolves did everything in our power to get in our own way. We missed a bunch of shots, Memphis pressed on Ant, sure, but that was expected and that was game planned against. KAT got in foul trouble being a giant baby, and thats what we have to deal with nightly. Grizz are the favorites in this series, but we have matched up fairly well against you all season long, and we've even had significant leads in most of the games we've played. I think you'll see a shift in mentality from a few of our players and it will be a major difference compared to Game 2. Game 2 was embarassing, but ultimately it wasn't due to the adjustments made by the MemThis, as we did ourselves in much long before any significant run by memphist
