Cant count florida out, their squad at their best is terrifying and pretty much an almost unbeatable team however the thought of mcdavid on game day locking on and hyping himself telling him hes got to have his greatest game ever played is also terrifying. As a canadian im rooting for edmonton but this game 7 is anyones and is very exciting for hockey fans. Would be nice to see edmonton not only win but win convincingly like these last few games completing a legendary cup run with this squad. Cmon mcdavid, get your cup and solidify your spot as the top dog of the game, you deserve it. Win this and youre forever a hero in canada. Whole country is behind you, go get it!

$150-$200k for a video coach doesn’t sound bad at all. I was kind of shocked that that was the number after the build up there. I mean by all means everyone in an organization should be getting a fair share of whatever pie they’re part of and maybe I just don’t understand how much revenue is kept by ownership in this league.

to understand their tenacity and grueling work ethic on display for the entire hockey world atm, you'd have to have watched or been at every game for esp the last 5 years. Social media rarely gets it right, and in the Oilers case, they've been wrong about us for quite a while, most seriously wanting us to fail. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t just review calls, I think he’s the guy who compiles all the footage after the game to review what happened and debrief with the team. He is still a coach after all.

The Florida coach wouldn’t challenge it because he has no confidence in his penalty killing unit….. when your penalty killing unit is +1 or maybe a +2 in the series you trust them to kill a penalty when you’re trying to challenge an offside goal.

1942 Leafs…In Order for the Oilers to pull this off its a combination of great adjustments and what I believe is a broken team and the coaching staff out of ideas. Subban said Panthers don’t know whether to come up or lay back and it is creating gaps. Are are Panthers better than Dallas. Maybe a little but its the same team I guess? None of these 3 wins have been close IMO. If Panthers blow this it will be 10+ years before they get this close. I’m rooting for them as their fans have been loyal and they deserve their first so it will be a sea of rats.

What Fans? Lol they went to the SCF last year and still couldn't sell out their barn this year. Lower bowl season tickets this year were $2000 19250 capacity and averaged 18,000 attendance this year for a Stanley cup favorite with over 6 million people in the metro area and can't find 19,000 fans even when they're practically giving away season tickets. It's a freaking embrassment that the NHL falls behind High-school Football and Basketball. Panthers only have fans during the SCF if NBA finals are over because and they hear they might win some sort of championship that could kinda be important. Give them credit the 18k is up from the 16k from last year. If they win they might get a full house next year. If they lose again they'll drop back down to 2022s 14k.

The NHL expansion throughout the sunbelt is such a naive idea , and has already proven to be so in my opinion. Does it mean some teams can’t work? Definitely not, there’s for sure room for some teams like Tampa. However, if it’s my league I’m moving a team to a city like Salt Lake City every time. Houston? Get outta here. How about Quebec? Here's a thought that no one has seemed to have noticed. Has anyone thought that the Hockey Gods may have been offended by a golfer ( Yes I'm talking about the Golden Bear himself ) beating a rally drum? Golfing is the last thing any self respecting hockey player is thinking about, ( or at least trying to avoid ), during a cup run. What a terrible take on the video replay call. It was a 50/50 call at best, and the Oilers were confident that their penalty kill would be able to stop the Panthers if they were wrong. The Oilers gambled and won, that simple lads.

You're right.... he's like a lot of "hockey insiders"....predicting things they shouldn't even attempt to predict. I remember Craig Button in November... there was a segment on TSN called... " pretender or contender". When Edmonton came up, Button " NO WAY IN HELL ARE THEY MAKING THE PLAYOFFS....pretender , pretender, pretender...next question". Marty Biron same thing, Frank Saravelli, heck , even our own Allan Mitchell said the same thing. It's just the way hockey guys are.... that's why we love hockey, the passion and emotion, unlike any other sport. I wouldn't criticize Elliot too much, he puts a good spin on things. GO OILERS GOOOO

The golden knights fell to the 8th seed changed the entire playoffs in the west. The Oilers are a tier below Vegas/Dallas and they didn't have to face their biggest threat in the first round. The oilers are insanely lucky this year.

I'm a massive Oiler fan, but I have to agree with you on the videos of offsides... it's just plain dumb for lots of reasons. However, Coach K took a HUGE gamble possibly losing the call and the cup. Like Maurice said ... he would have never challenged it, so in that respect, huge 👏 for Coach K. As far as it being a "joke"... I've called it in the past "garbage".... but if that video rule is at a coach's disposal, why not use it... it goes both ways , trust me, Edmonton has had their share of bad rulings...namely the Cale Makar "offside" couple of years ago... what a fkn joke! It goes on and on and on with this league. Have a good day 😊
