Kinda a stretch to call this "more" content It's another platform to play the same game on, alongside the Wii U, DS, GBA, and also basically anything else if you find a method to obtain a rom (there are legal methods whether you use them or not), and some people will choose to play the game that otherwise wouldn't have. But it's not a new game. I would take Explorers DX at this point

I just want the exp system to go back to the original style leveling up got really tedious in rescue team DX late game wise even with the dojo (still a great game though)

We’ve been hoping for around a decade at this point. Mario and Luigi got a new entry so it’s never impossible but I’m not getting my hopes up

@@RobsiXXLThe remake is harder, your hunger bar goes down much faster and the team size mechanic didn’t work like it did after the original first came out. Plus several moves were reworked for balance. Hyper beam hits everything in its path in the remake while it’ll only hit one target in the original, and smokescreen got the biggest nerf in gaming history. Smokescreen in the original didn’t lower accuracy it actually had its own status effect called “whiffer” where for two whole turns any and all attacks except for throwing items that do damage have a 100% chance to miss, making you untouchable. That move alone made every dungeon so easy with the exception of wish cave and purity forest, the two dungeons where its actually useless Edit: Forgot about these features. Shiny Pokémon are in the remake but are not in the original, and Riolu can be recruited in the remake however as Red/Blue was a Gen 3 game Riolu makes no appearance. And there aren’t any mystery houses in the original game. Also the friend zones in the remake can’t be explored but the can be in the original

100% agree. Explorers is already great, and, while not official, there's ROM hacks for it that make it even better. Besides, a lot of fans of the original RT didn't like DX, so I feel like fans of Explorers would probably complain about a remake anyways. The been 3 whole generations of Pokemon that've been made since the last original PMD game, so I'd much rather get a new game than another remake (even if I thought Super was a great sendoff to the series).

The thing about the games is, how would we be able to transfer the Pokemon from those games to Home, cuz even some of those games require trade or transfer between them, but it gets tricky trying to think a way of moving them from a completely different thing behind a $50 (a year) system to a free app like Home

Yeah because people froth at the mouths for remakes instead of simply porting the originals (which would take less time, money, and disappoint nobody). Even after those utterly disastrous Diamond and Pearl remakes, people are still begging for Black and White remakes, so those will also get remakes instead of ports.

I'm curious if the GBA Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2...or Mario vs Donkey Kong, for that matter...will end up on NSO. They're in the same boat. (Played Advance Wars 1 + 2 Boot Camp recently and it's great but it's also basically the same game I played 20 years ago with modern presentation...which is fine but there's no way I'd have gotten it if the GBA versions were on NSO)

They probably won’t because save states and also they like having transferability between games, even the eshop games. If they were going to rerelease them I think they would probably make them stand alone eshop games instead.

Getting the Pokemon company to port the older games is like pulling teeth. May as well just pirate them. You'd be missing out on the cool features that official releases tend to have but at least you could still play those damn games lol

Probably for the successor switch, or remakes like let's go, diamond/pearl or PMD rescue team dx. I wouldn't be surprised given how much they hold back or won't translate (pokemon tcg 2/starfy). Let alone pokemon stadium 1 and 2 were rentals only. Then they killed pokemon TV and didn't put tcg live on switch. Low expectations helps, and only upgrade as needed. Better than ps plus making me play San Andreas for a few rewards points 😂. I think they fixed some bugs by now, but I'm done with ps plus and downgrading by card (to keep switch fam) next year.

Game Freak aren't the developers of the PMD series, Chunsoft (now known as Spike Chunsoft) are. Which is part of the reason we don't get them often.

I mean, it's Pokémon, so... literally the same game with a couple of exclusive critters.

There's basically no difference between the two versions , except improved audio quality, a few version exclusives and the bottom screen on the ds can display some useful information

We got the superior Frosty Grotto BGM and laggier menus.

Red Rescue Team has better sounding music and, for some reason, better performance when running in a dungeon, even though the DS is more powerful. But they fixed those performance issues of Blue for the sequels! =P

@@DarkLink1996. I think of Shiren as main series and Torneko's Mystery Dungeon as having the same relation with it that Donkey Kong has with the Mario series; an origin point and as such hard to truly call a spin-off, but no longer the core and center of the franchise.

Wario Land 1 was billed as Mario Land 3, despite being its own thing. I guess a better way of phrasing my original comment is that is bizarre how few people realize that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is a sub series of the larger Mystery Dungeon series.

As nice as this is, PMD is developed by Spike Chunsoft (in case you don't know they've made stuff like Shiren, the first few Dragon Quest games, and Danganronpa), not GameFreak. So most of it will probably be on Chunsoft's part wanting to develop a new PMD game, which I don't see happening soon. But it's nice to dream.

@@FrankKirlts Spike chunsoft has stated that while its not their decision on whether a PMD game gets approved its helps with pitching a new game if a similar style game like Shiren gets good sales since higher ups only care about numbers.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Blue rescue team is a DS game. While its red counterpart is a GBA game. Which is why only red team got added.

That way they can laugh maniacally at said customers while simultaneously using the aforementioned funds to send their legal attack dogs after each and every rom site hosting files containing the letters P, O, K, E, M or N. For it is written that this symbiosis is the key to Shigeru Miyamoto’s longevity.

@jaypayne4744 If you think that 90% of the ROMs in Nintendo's online service are shovelware, you need to actually play them. There are a few stinkers, but most games are great. Some of the games literally cost hundreds on the used market (dunno which off the top of my head), so this is a cheaper way to play them, if "free" is not an option for someone.

@@Kniffel101 Yeah, you are correct. I was being hyperbolic for affectation. I’d say it’s more in the 25% range. Just about every GBA game is solid and around 70% of the games for the other systems. There’s definitely some heavy hitters that I’d love for them to drop but with licensing and what not it’s unrealistic to expect everything. I do wish they would toss Chrono Trigger up there seeing as it’s on Steam, iOS and Android.

None of the games got a remaster, what are you talking about? Blue and Red Rescue Team got a remake with DX, but this here is just them throwing the ROM into their emulator.
