Thanks my power switch is haunting me. First I upgraded to a IPS larger screen. I love it. Then the power switch failed, I fixed it. It’s failing again. Then I found the shell has broken plastic inside. I replaced it. Now it won’t power on again. Ugh. Thanks for this, this might fix it for good. Hopefully. 👍🏼
@@JoeBleepsthanks. I cleaned the old switch again. Got it working. But the switch is finicky, barely works. It has too much old corrosion. I need to do this upgrade in the future. Thanks a ton 👍🏼.
What kind of flux did you use or you recommend? I've never used one before and I just got my replacement power switch at the door and I see everyone using flux O.O Haha
You don't really need it, most solder has flux in the core anyway, but sometimes it helps the flow especially if older solder is in the mix. I just use a liquid flux, it does the job well
