If it was the hardest to beat for me: Elec Man Quick Man Shadow Man Pharaoh Man Wave Man Tomahawk Man Turbo Man Search Man Plug Man Chill Man Torch Man
@A New Challenger He was a huge pain in the ass for certain! That especially with the special weapon you had to use on him, which was very difficult to execute (no pun intended) for that matter too!
This game was no doubt the strongest of the M.M. games on the original Game Boy, I.M.O. They were able to get the sound almost perfect, as they did on the third game for that matter too, That, and had such excellent gameplay, and level design all the way, with plenty of stages to keep you busy, along with just the right amount of challenge. This was almost as good as most of the N.E.S. Mega Mans, which really says a lot, and is better than the first on the original Nintendo, I think.
Definitely, and this sure was well done all the way, with it coming very close in quality to the N.E.S. titles. Amazing how Capcom was able to make this game as great as it was, along with the other Mega Man Game Boy games to a lesser extent. Only M.M. 2 on G.B. did I not really care for, with how that game was kind of butchered. That especially being with the sound, which was very painful on the ears! (L.O.L.!)
I agree on MM II on the Game Boy. I've played all 5 on the GB. I only had the first (I: Dr. Wily's Revenge) as a child and I did beat it back then. That's the 3rd best on the GB, in my opinion (MM III was way too unfair with all of those pixel-perfect jumps). MM V was slow-paced and had a more combat-oriented approach. The weapons weren't good at all, the music could've been so much better and Tango is practically useless.
An asshole in boy scouts had this as he loved megaman and I remember erasing all his slots and breaking his gameboy because he was a dipshit bully named eric hughes...I megamanned his face with his own gameboy.
I absolutely love this game! It was the first Mega Man Game since Mega Man 3 that really shook things up in my opinion. It was the first to offer a shop, it is a large game with massive levels and it has far more plot than most Mega Man games with dramatic cutscenes (as MM games go). Plus, the rearranged music & new themes as well are top notch. This is in my top 3 Mega Man games.
Wow, these Game Boy Mega Man games kept getting better and better over the years. I may even say that in some aspects they were even better than their NES counterparts. More than once I've yelled "stupid!" when you took an easily avoidable hit and ended up with very little energy, just to see how you get a big energy ball almost immediately, lol. :'D Good work, can't wait until you upload the Mega Man V longplay! :D
As with previous Game Boy releases, the game incorporates gameplay elements and bosses from two sequential Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games: Mega Man 4 and Mega Man 5.
Fun Facts, Minakuchi Engineering were the group that developed all the GB Mega Man titles save for 2 (you can tell). They also created Solar Striker as a commissioned launch title for Nintendo at the launch of the GB as well. It’s actually very striking how similar Mega Man 1 and Solar Striker’s music is, as that’s one of the dead giveaways. They’ve been working on GB stuff from the beginning.
👍 No doubt, all Rockman games released on Game Boy are masterpieces, oldies but goodies. BGM are all great pieces of digital music. 3 and 4 are my favourite on Game Boy. Thx a lot for sharing this.
1:20:53 For some reason, this scene is viscerally funny to me. Like we knew Wily was gonna escape but that has to be the most Saturday morning cartoon exit he's ever made.
@@bey0ndinsan1ty70 Love his theme though, but yeah, he sucks. Sparadic and random as fuck, it's a gamble on if you live or not when it comes to 'ol Bright Man.
I remember "unlocking" a more powerful mega buster when I died and continued 4 times in a row at the Wily Fortress as a kid, when my skills weren't as sharp as they are now.
My favorite of the 5 GB games, even more than V. It has amazing soundtrack, it perfected the simple yet effective formula before switching to Stardroids, and you can tell they put effort into the game.
I’m currently working on a remake on Mega Man Maker titled “Mega Man IV RECHARGED”. It is basically like Mega Man Powered Up, where the stages are heavily altered to not be 1-to-1 recreations, and also have more enemies, items, and even bosses. 😊Also, since Bright Man is absent (as of the time of writing), so he’s replaced by Skull Man, with an all-new stage that tries to show how his stage would’ve been in Mega Man IV. Also, there are secret rooms that hide Yashichis hidden throughout some of the Robot Masters’ levels.
Toad Man, the unluckiest robot master in the series. All he does is hop around, get shot, hop over you, get shot, hop over, rinse and repeat till he dies.
I don't know why Wily has a train in his Wily Station, but that could just be a transport filled with robot parts in metal boxes so Wily can make more robots.
I loved this game in my childhood. The music was awsome made (i dont mean the robotmaster levels :), because they didnt change a thing. [Only Napalm Man was extremley great, because they experimented with the disappearing stones in it XD) The Ballade Boss fight theme - Awsome Wily Chase - Awsome Wily Level - Awsome Fortress Bosses - Dammit awsome Boss Refights with Ballade Fight theme - Dammit Awsome Wily Final Boss appearance - Fucking awsome Wily endboss fight - Fucking dammit awsome And the ending was great :D
I always wanted to play this game for Gameboy. Hopefully, it'll be available for Nintendo 3-DS. Why did Rush had to be modified to travel in space in Megaman 5 (Gameboy) when he can do that in this game?
Actually, it's already available for download for the Nintendo 3-DS, according to Nintendolife.com. I'm also hoping that the upcoming Super Smash bros. game will help Megaman return to games and help him prove to Capcom that he's not ready for the Scrap pile.
Hello to all. In the crystal man's stage, at 33:26 minute and at 35:12 I noticed there are two stairs leading down, so my question is this: where do those two stairs lead? thank you.
35:12 is the exit of downstair of 33:26. I chose the downstair when playing it for the first time. The downstair way is much difficult than the upper(normal) way because the floor kept sinking, you have to run without time to think.
Interestingly enough, this is the Mega Man game that debuted the screw currency system that would be a regular feature starting in Mega Man 7 on SNES..
Beat leters: 4:01 10:38 16:32 20:47 Wily Leters: 31:43 41:40 48:51 52:54 Protoman stage: 38:50 1:06:04 (you need to destroy the glowing square, but this is not shown in the video)
Narrator (Me): It is the year 21XX, both humans and robots are living in great peace and harmony. When out of nowhere, Old Man Wily has created destruction with the help of eight new Robot Masters. The only hope who could stop Wily's treacherous attack is Mega Man. Go, Mega Man go!!!!!! Bring peace and balance to the entire world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
59:37. Is Wily ever gonna give up? Not only he had a Castle as usual and had it destroyed by Mega Man, but this time he escaped to freaking space to his secret Space Ship as last resort. I love that cutscene, and reminder that this was done on a GAME BOY, of all systems. Graphically impressive if you ask me. Talk about some badassery right here.
I ALWAYS hated Bright Man's stage..I mean, they're practically telling me that I'm not supposed to shoot this one guy or else, but he's trying to kill me, why not? Then you're in the dark and slightly pissed
I can't wait to get all the GB games and I'm especially even more happy because all of them fit so well in my megaman focused file on my 3ds YEEEEEEEEE (AND DON'T YOU DARE GIVE ME THAT OOHHHH TWO IS A GAME TWO YA CLOD CUZ GUESS WHAT I SAID GAME AND IF I ADDED 2 JUST TO COMPLETE MY COLLECTION IT WOULD RUIN THE SYMETRY AND ORDER ENTIRELY AND GYYYYYAAAAA!!!!!!) P.S I'm sorry for calling you a clod and will pay you in E Tanks if I offended you
Everyone who loves Mega Man should check out Mega Man Unlimited, it's free and legal so just gogo! oh and it's optimized for PC with a controller, it's freaking fantastic, I grew up on these games :D
Of all the Gameboy Mega Mans, IV and V are the only ones worth playing. MMI- Decent. Better than II and III. MMII- Terrible with poorly composed music. MMIII- Too fucking hard to be enjoyable. MMIV- Excellent. MMV- Even more Excellent.
