Based on your review, I picked up the Zenith C8 from Amazon for my son. After coupon and lighting deal, it was only $65.

How can you compare C8 to RC2, J2, Aisocentric? What will you choose amongst all mentioned?
@topickleballandbeyond
@topickleballandbeyond 4 месяца назад
@bfbone1999 Great question! We haven’t had the chance to play with the Aisocentric yet-we need to reach out to them. As for the rest, here’s our take: J2 > RC2 > C8. The J2 is close enough to be a pro paddle, a proper all-around paddle. Honolulu paddles are exceptional, and the J2 has been a step up for many of our players, including my wife Stephanie (the chief person behind the scenes doing all the videos). The only reason it’s priced at $99 is they have a few upgrades of the J2 shape (J2h, J2k, J2k Pro-which is Ryan’s primary paddle now), and I’ve been using the J5 as my primary paddle. So we are a bit partial to the Honolulu paddles for a reason, hahaha. Now, the Standout RC2 paddle-it's a fantastic budget entry-level paddle. They’ve hit the ball out of the park with this one, offering the same quality as their premium CF3 paddles. The RC2 is a softer paddle than the J2. The C8 would be the softest and have less power than the other two, with a different surface as well. (3k weave Toray vs raw t700 Toray Carbon fibre) Hope this helps answer your question! Check out our reviews of the J2 and RC2 for more details. Happy to answer any further questions. Thank you for supporting the channel and its growth!

Always good to hear about cheaper paddles in the market, getting pretty tired of how expensive they’re getting 😅

This was the second paddle I ever purchased after I decided I wanted to continue playing the game. It was my beginning of learning how to dink. Still can’t justify paying over 100 dollars for a paddle when all,I do is rec play. Thanks for the review.

Happy to see another two value paddles.Thanks for your sharing!Are they any different compared to Hudef Apex Pro?
@topickleballandbeyond
@topickleballandbeyond 4 месяца назад
@DianSusiana98 This is a really good question! The Hudef Apex Pro for $89 is quite exceptional (we need to release that video soon). It has a similar play feel, with a shape a bit closer to the C7 standard shape. The Hudef paddle plays a bit softer, and with the raw T700 Toray, I would say you’ll get a bit more spin too. Plus, it comes in both 14mm and 16mm options. Ultimately, selecting between these paddles will come down to personal play preference. Thanks for the awesome question and your continued support!

@@topickleballandbeyond Glad you responded, and even more excited to see a review of Hudef Apex Pro in the near future. Looking forward to your new video!

Really sounds like a value paddle that gives good control. I like the C8 and you guys demo the C8 makes it look easier than the C7. Maybe the bigger sweet spot really gives better control.

I bought C8 in 2023. Was this revised since last year? Also, thanks for covering budget and lesser known brands.

@hruntingson You bet! I did some digging to see if there were any changes, and it doesnt seem so. We got these after their new Carry C7/XL paddles to review. I'll reach out to A11N to get their comment on that too and will let you know if I hear otherwise. Thank you for your continued support of the channel!

How does the C8 compare to the Carry C7. The Carry is currently $50 on Amazon and the C8 is $80. Is it worth the extra money for the C8?
@topickleballandbeyond
@topickleballandbeyond 2 месяца назад
The Carry C7 for 50$ is quite a steal... if i was to pick between those two if price was equally actually might be favoring the C7 actually. I prefer the raw carbon fibre surface.. If you want something that is significantly softer and plusher then i would consider the c8
