Game Composer Reacts to BATTLE TOWER from POKEMON SWORD & SHIELD

This is the first soundtrack which Toby Fox did for Pokémon, later he was asked again to do more for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the main one being the Tera Raid Theme.

Speaking of Toby Fox and Zun, they recently made a collab song together: "U.N Owen Was Hero?"

i like how even in a series like Pokemon or a game like Minecraft where in both there are more than one composer for different tracks but even so i can easily recognice a track that its composed by Toby Fox or Lena Raine, in their respectively games, but not to different to think that its not naturally from the game or not fitting. They both are definitively great composers.

This is actually my first time hearing the original version of this song, and I find it kind of interesting that Toby seems to have still done everything himself here and used his soundfont library, I recognizes the drums and background guitar from Megalovania and the lead guitar from Hopes and Dreams

I forgot how much of a banger this theme is. When sword and shield first released I used this as my alarm because it was so hype it got me ready for the day.

Toby Fox also made most of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's music, you should definitely look at the Tera Raid Theme, Area Zero themes (overworld and battle in the same video), and the AI Professor battle theme.

its so nice that toby now works for pokemons music soundtrack, i think another song he composed in pokemon is the academy ace tournament from scarlet and violet, another one i think he composed for those games was professor Also some people in the replies said the area zero theme and the Tera raid battle theme were composed by him along with south provinces all in scarlet and violet, Tysm to the replies, they helped a lot :)

For Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, Toby also made the AI professors' battle theme (which is honestly one of the best battle themes of all Pokemon games ngl) so if you're interested in pokemon themes you could try it out :D Edit : Apparently Toby Fox didn't make Penny's theme, my bad

please do area zero or vs professor turo/sada the former in particular has an interesting relationship where there is a calmer overworld section which seamlessly transitions between the version that plays when you enter a battle; these themes are also made by toby fox

DAVI'S DOING POKEMON MUSIC?! THIS IS AMAZING! Ohh, I could suggest so many tracks. Team Flare and Lysandre's battle themes, Sword and Shield's Gym Leader theme, XY's Victory Road theme AND XY's Legendary Pokemon theme, Sword and Shield's Wild Area music, and that's only my two favorite games!

3:39 the french horn heard here in the background is actually the same sample used in the 2000s for the Pokémon games on the Game Boy Advance, so it really is a homage to the franchise :D

Guys i know the SV music is impressive but Toby Fox was just one of many composers for it! Don't diminish everyone else's accomplishments! Also, everyone wants you to listen to the professors' battle theme but don't do that until after you listen to both the tera raid and Area Zero music because it draws from both of them

What an awesome theme! It's so weird to me that Gamefreak actually took on Toby Fox to compose tracks for them and every single one are absolute bangers. In general, I'd love for you to cover more pokemon tracks but the Area Zero and Professor battle themes from SV (which I'm like 95% sure is also Toby Fox) would be awesome. I also appreciate how he managed to retain his style but tailor it in a way that fits the franchise, it makes each piece of music he composes stand out amongst a franchise of musical titans.

i love this track. I really think this a good track for Leon and it really suits the theme of the galar region. Also a real punch in the gut if you lose to him in the tower. Toby did other tracks for pokemon and it all just fits so well with pokemon. I would like to hear your thoughts on legends Arcues vs arceus theme, since that track just devolves into a glitchy mess. Like longest battle theme for a pokemon ever lol.

Please please PLEASE listen to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon's music. I genuinely can not emphasize how..... _beautifully_ artistic it is by telling a story so perfectly EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It's by far my favorite library of soundtracks I have ever listened to in any video game series, PERIOD. You will find out why

It wasnt composed by toby but it sounds like it fits in the undertale world perfectly. But you might look up if you're allowed since there are/were complications with the copyright of those songs

You should give the destiny/2 soundtrack a shot, specifically Deep Stone Crypt, which is an amazing song in one of the best raids. Another personal recommendation is the soundtrack for the OG Wrath of the Machine raid, specifically Siege Machine. You can’t really go wrong with any of the raid soundtracks.

Pokemon Sword and Shield got a lot of hate when they released, most of it understandable. Looking back on the game I thought the base game did lack content, but overall it was another solid entry. I'd choose it over Scarlet and Violet any day of the week.

Penny's Battle Theme AI Professor Battle Theme Team Star Grunt Theme Tema Star Boss Theme Tera Raid Battle Theme (This one I'm sure Toby Fox is who made it) Also the battle themes for Ogerpon, Kieran and Terapagos (some Bad Apple vibes), and Terapagos.
