Shifting Stars is one of the tunes by the new band Riot Act which was introduced to Splatoon 3 in Fresh Season 2024. When they were initially announced, I had mixed feelings about their music. Now that some time has passed, Shifting Stars in particular has really grown on me... a lot. Let's talk about what makes this such a great tune!

It’s reliving to find other people who listen to splatoon songs to bed because I thought I was weird. Also I think shifting stars is an easy s tier. 9:18 reminds me of climbing the ranks in splatoon3

fun fact: kiki a vocalist and a guitarist of C side is part of this new band as a side project that may explain why the vocals sound familiar

while i do like your take on why the vocals seem familiar, i don't think its kiki singing. at least to me, it sounds nothing like her. shes got a distinct kind of vocal. i think its someone else in the band, though we're not sure who, my headcanon is that its the piranha gal. (blue fish on kiki's right, our left)

Riot Act is such an underrated band, I love their songs so much, No Plan Survives is one of my favourite multiplayer songs in the series, the violin is so, so good. It's just Rooftop Run Splatoon Edition. Thanks for the great video on this band, it takes some time for them to hit but the moment they get you in their grasp you'll be a Riot Act fan forever.

Considering Kikura of C-Side is the one leading the band, it's obvious that she's the one doing the guitar (not vocals though, the voice doesn't match). She and her band lack proper musical traininh, so it makes sense why it is the way it is (sounds like it shouldn't work and works because of it.) Now, if only nintendo would tell us who's who. Guess we gotta wait till christmas again

AAAGHHH I LOVE RIOT ACT!! (Saying this as the BIGGEST C-side fan ever may I add, obvious) I don’t know what it is but the riot act tracks make me emotional?? They’re so good. Good lord. You can imagine the shock I felt when I saw Kikura show up on the album cover 😭
