The fit and finish on this is outstanding. I think the paper light diffuser turned out just fine. Totally agree with your philosophy on doing things yourself to learn all the required skills. Great job with this project. I personally would love to see projects that go really deep on one aspect of the process at a time. Full stack videos are nice, but I really like how folks like Winston Moy do projects that emphasize one particular part of the process in particular.
Well I don’t want to become a Winston Moy channel, and i believe my full stack approach and finish is unique to the field, Im leaning on just going deeper with each step, allowing viewers to focus on their segment of interest. Ecad, mcad, fab, or overview.
Man! I just found your channel today from Pinterest. I need to know all of what you know lol. I love to see the development of products from start to finish. Thanks for sharing.
Love the idea of the full stack development process. I've been looking for someone that goes through it for a long time. It's definitely the hardest thing to learn on your own in my opinion. Keep it up! :)
Loved this project ! I am a maker too, and what we do is not always the main goal. But what we learn from it is gold ! I spent like 4 year doing tiny 3d printed arcades and learned a lot. Was a lot of fun ! :)
Awesome project! Out of curiousity? Are you using the FSM library initially written by me in 2009? :D I guess someone has taken the trouble to maintain it somewhere? Fun to see it in the wild!
This is some great stuff! Thanks you for sharing. Do you think you can make a video on producing mechanically accurate parts with resin printing Or direct me to where I can look that info up? I have a similar form factor printer (Phrozen Transform) and use the same resin as you. It's been hard to get the dimensions right due to shrinking while curing and just calibrating the printer. Thanks again!
Hi, there is a direct correlation of resin thickness to shrink rate also when using ipa the parts will absorb it and swell. The important part is to fully cure and allow the part to put gas any ipa before measuring it. If you find that your part is off after four hours, then you can increase the scale of your part to compensate for these factors. All resins will have slightly different material properties, but that should get you started! .
