There were a handful of these throughout the early '90s volumes. People would always try and put their consoles in the shadows, but it's kind of hard _not_ to see a game pak mounted to a Game Genie, sticking out of what should be a completely closed NES Control Deck. (;

That is true but I'm for it. Most youtuber's ideas of April Fools jokes are absolutely corny. You get some gems but those are the exceptions to the rule.@@CharginChuck

I just got off from Fear and Hunger feat rating, no clickbait just a strange concept that could only be made on a day like this. This animation is so good it could show up pretty much any day and celebrate a cheat engine everyone knew and thought of playing with.

That's hilarious! Finally the Big N is celebrating Waluigi Day (ironically on a year that I miss it). I was hoping it'd line up with my update schedule to have the big Inverted-L featured in another song, but he's actually going to be at the end of this month this time. I saw that news post and thought it was kinda mean for Nintendo to feature him TODAY. It somehow didn't even cross my mind that was a BitF thing. As an owner of all five signed hardcover books, I am ashamed of myself for missing that. :p

I like the amount of thought that went into this comment! The way I saw it, Howard was more the straight-shooter and Nester could be a bit of a rebel, kind of snarky and self-assured. I needed a kid character for the Game Genie to interact with and initially it would be a young me (seen in a cap in the "buddies mad" scene), but then I thought Nester would be a fun representative of the NES gamer since the song was turning into a love letter to 90s gaming.

With what I remember for the Nester stuff, I could have seen the kid having fun using the cheats, and after a while going "Eh, let's try this with the training wheels off."
