@@YashasBharadwaj lots of coding, time and money + resources and knowledge game creating engines like- Unreal Engine, Unity etc. these are the things you need to know if u are starting from scratch and are an indie game developer. but if u have some knowledge and are working in a big gaming company then they will just give you tasks based on what you can do best. indie game developers have to give their best as they don't with what resources they have as a lot of times they don't have sufficient amount of funds so they cant spend a lot of money. if u want I can give you some links for inspiring video about both indie developers and company based developers, they will also help you understand how things actually work and what's the basic knowledge that you will require
