Just to correct something: If you discard a basic card from your hand (IE: Regulars, Torches, Longspears) it doesn't go out of the game forever, it goes back to the correspondent pile. It only gets permanently out of the game if it's destroyed from the village deck. (page 12)
at 23:28 make sure you don't shuffle the remaining undrawn stack with the discards before dealing out your new hand. Deal out all remaining undrawn cards first...then if you still need more to reach your hand size shuffle the discards and draw.
Rank and Darkness are pretty much the same. A Creature in Rank 2 of the Dungeon has a base Darkness level of 2 (which is listed under the rank for ease).
Points at the end of the game, getting an extra XP during spoils and increasing 2 hero's Strength by 1. Nothing spectacular but it does do some minor things.
which sleeve reference do you use ? By the way, that was a very interesting and well explained video, thanks for this. The Advance version is not yet available in a translated version here in France... I think I will go for the english one. But not all my gamer friends speak english well enough to understand all descriptions...
Great tutorial but when you used the teleport card it said that you could not use dungeon effects on the card you draw. You would not have been able to draw another card for the moonstone as it was a dungeon effect.
Darkness is not the same as the Penalty. The Darkness is at level 1, 2 and 3. The Light subtracts from the Darkness so if you had 1 Light and attacked the Rank 2 creature (Darkness level 2 with a penalty of -4), you would bring the Darkness level down to level 1 and thus a -2 penalty.
great video, but regarding darkness if a monster is in darkness level -4 and you had for example 2 light the penalty would be -2 not how is described in your tutorial.

Um why is the evil dude that deep in the dungeon? And once defeated why play another game? And how is this competitive? It doesn't make any sense. Thunderstone is made obsolete by ODD.
