You weren't the only one! The first time I reset and didn't realize it had no save slots and I had no money for a save pak. I rented the game but was instantly in love.. I don't remember how long it took but it was 10+ hours and I beat the game in one setting. I remember praying I was close to the end of the game.. worth it though, the last boss fight was amazing.. I bought a save pak later on just for this game.. my only complaint with it was that you couldn't save to the cartridge. But I never knew a sequel was made. I need to play it sometime.
Ah, it's nice that you appreciate them too because they are undoubtedly in my top 3 of the best N64 boss music. True anecdote: the theme shuhodo (passage in the plains of tosa) is music that I have been listening to since 2006 and which helps me calm down before sleeping well. Not every night of course, but once in a while, a little trip to tosa and I sleep well :)
@@bossrushchannel2025 It's honestly just one of the greatest games created for N64 and it's always overshadowed by the LoZ games. The gameplay was super fun, the story was hilarious, and the soundtrack is amazing.
it's the best robot fighting game on the N64, and the license is one of my favorites in video game history. I understand that you enjoyed it a lot when you were younger :)
I remember a friend of mine who had this game and I didn’t want to ask right away because I didn’t want to see rude. However I have not yet to even see her or her family members play so I figured I’d ask if I could borrow it. I was addicted to the point where I cleared the game withing a couple days lmao. Then I returned it

@@franpancho6128 c-up, c-down, c-up, a. Once that screen in front of you flashes is when you push the combination. It's been ages since I played this so I might be wrong.
This game needs and upgrade fr. I used to play this on n64 with no saves, leaving it on for several days at a time. An update of this, or more, would be GODLY to someone like me.. I love the lessons in it as well... 😜😜 (hint hint in asterisks didn't work)
it's true that in the game, the grappling hook and the multiple shots and the laser are not indicated anywhere in the game, which made the task much more difficult ^^
If only this game would go to some level of what breath if the wild did.... this was WAY ahead of its time in extent of platforming and rpg's.... Maybe, one day.. 😜
My brother and I had this game when we were kids. Thing is... We didn't speak English back then, we'd learn a few years later and really became fluent two decades later. And the game wasn't translated to French. We beat the game, though. Even if we didn't understand shit.
same case xDDD younger being a game from my childhood (I was 10 years old when I played it for the first time) I understood nothing about the adventure and what to do, but I loved playing it xDDD it's only much later once the language barrier was broken that I loved the game ^^
Oh,but we loved it even though we couldn't understand the text. I don't know how we beat it though. "Bringing a cucumber to a green dwarf" and "Go at the top of the tree to take a picture to get the second battery that activates Sasuke" was not instinctive at all XD
The Impact fights are spread out so weird, there's one at the start of the game, and three at the end of the game, they should have had one in the middle to even things out better
It's true that when you discover the phases of combat on impact, you want to do it again and again, almost to say to yourself that the adventure who cares I want to fight xDDD, and 1 fight at the beginning, one towards 80% of the game, and 2 at the end, its leaves a big gap. For once the 2 managed the distribution of the combat phases much better
I beat all the impact fights with out knowing any of the moves.... Then when I got goemons great adventure as an adult prob 20 or so oh press start shows you the list then I tried this lol been helpful to know back then (I always knew you can super punch on the demo for letting it play on one of the fights ai does it and the beam cuz final boss)
it's true that the special moves are not easy to find because they are difficult to identify during the fight, especially the gauge in the middle of the cockpit for the laser, but in the 2 if you pause, you have all the moves available, he would have had to put it for 1 too but hey you can't be perfect :)
it's crazy a lot ask me xDDD then you have to make a sequence of key combinations, here is the combination: high low high A and bam it does the multiple punches
For the giant laser, your radar gauge must be at the maximum, it flashes red green permanently to say that it is ready. You make a circle with the buttons C high left low right + Z and the laser charges 2 sec before firing. Be careful to anticipate the aim because you can no longer move the viewfinder once the laser is charged.
I agree :) But at the same time, Kashiwagi is the 1st robot fight in the game, we can say to ourselves that it is a bit of the tutorial phase so we can say that its happening. That the rest is 2000 points also the sa becomes a bit more unfortunate but hey, I don't spit on the game because it is still excellent :)
@@serpens_ignis and what an incredible combat phase :) i will never get tired of these robot fights on mystical ninja I will love a whole game so much with this combat technique and this universe :p
At the end of the game, the joystick of my controller did not work too much. The sight was going all over the place, it was unplayable and impossible to beat without getting hit. I had to go buy a controller urgently and once changed, I smoked it on the first try so much it got on my nerves xDDDDD Thanks for stopping by :)
One of the few criticisms I have of this game is that too many of the bosses are Impact bosses. There should have been more regular bosses to give you more opportunity to play around with Yae and Sasuke.
It's not completely wrong, it's true that yae and sasuke, are put aside a little in this opus compared to goemon great adventure 2, on the contrary, on the contrary, I would have preferred more combat on impact because that's what's part of the biggest fun of the license, so it's not just that of course, the environment, the burlesque scenario, the cara design and the gameplay are top notch. But a mystical ninja adventure without robot combat is like soft serve without ice cream, it doesn't taste good anymore xDDD after that, my personal opinion of course and any constructive criticism are authorized and validated by the boss rush company :)
