Today, DJ Peach Cobbler reveals his Game of the Year for 2022. Which, obviously, is God of War 7 (8?): God Harder. God of War Ragnarok is so good that DJ Peach Cobbler forgot all the other games that came out this year! There was a cat one, right? WHELP, it surely couldn't measure up to the pulse-pounding action of the camera sticking WAY too close to Kratos' back for the combat to be enjoyable.
They KNOW it's a problem, hence the arrows pointing towards imminent attacks, so why is it STILL a problem? I hate it so much. Also, every enemy's health bar is about 50% too long. Kratos doesn't take enough damage, either. The animations and sound design is punchy enough, but the blows have no impact due to the balancing. Furthermore, Kratos doesn't move enough when you dodge.
All in all, it's just a very irritating combat system. I'd probably be a lot kinder to the game if I didn't hate it so much.
I wore the suit at the end because it's a job interview.

Cheers Cobbler. Im about halfway through my last year of highschool and its been a lot of change. Life's starting to have deadlines and things I must do in order to be successful. Ive applied to universities and need to work hard to get jobs that I couldn't give a kangaroos left nut about, however will sustain me financially. Your channel has been a huge source of (dopamine) and inspiration. I plan on at least attempting to give life to the many forms of creative expression I'm interested in, and knowing you've been doing this while still having a 9-5 is very reassuring. I guess life doesn't end after you turn 18 after all. There is nothing more disappointing than wasted potential, and Id like to realize mine as you have been yours. I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks. For sharing the love of games with this community, helping outsiders realize they are more than just time-sinks, and creating all the content you do. As a 24 year old man whos still trying to figure out wtf im doing with my existance on this floating rock in space, I can definitely tell you that life after leaving high school is entirely what you make of it. If you don't apply yourself, then you wont get far, but if you do apply yourself you can do anything. If Cobbler can do all this while hes in the military you can achieve whatever stupid bullshit you want to achieve. Cobbler is in the military btw, in case you didnt know. Dudes just built different, if theres anyone to take inspiration on creative dreams from, its him. As a young man, who's left university only a few years ago and is fully in the corporate world, i can't stress this enough: Take your time during school to explore everything that makes you curious, try out new things, get out of your comfort zone, find people that are into the same shit that you're into, dont rush towards that 9-5 life because time and energy become a commodity at that point. @@mimszanadunstedt441 I don't mean rawest as in actively pandering towards the most controversial opinion for the sake of gathering attention and seeming edgy, but more to the point of being unafraid of sharing his opinions without really worrying too much about what others think about it. For example, I bet a lot of people went into this expecting him to go into a big rant into God of War Ragnarok either praising or destroying the game, but he simply stated that it didn't catch his interest in any interesting way that he felt worth discussing. Me, as a person who loved GoWR, can completely understand that. Not every game is for everyone, and I feel Cobbler coveys that very concept in a very objective way. Opinions are opinions after all, and everyone has one.

I actually enjoy Elden Ring's exploration more than its combat, I think there's a lot to learn and discover about the world just from looking around. To me that's just as engaging as any other form of storytelling.

My first play through was very similar to both of yours as well as Cobblers where I spent over 200 hours exploring every inch of the map and trying to piece together the story and themes of the whole thing. At the end of it though, I had some wonderful memories and excellent encounters, but I just stood their scratching my head confused as to what had really happened. I think perhaps the life flew beyond my scope as an audience and while many on RU-vid have taken the time to puzzle out the many mysteries in this game, I would rather have played a game with a more focused narrative structure. That’s why I put the first Dark Souls and mainly Sekiro as my most replayable fromsoftware titles. Elden Ring is some of the most fun I never want to experience again.

The fact that I cared so much about what the world actually was made this game better than any other. Have an ongoing theory that the entire world of elden ring is actually a colossal dead tree, or another meaning for "Elden Ring" as trees have rings. The way the rocks form look more like splinters and bark than normal rock formation, but thats just a theory.

Been watching this channel for awhile now, I typically come around every so often and binge about five or ten videos that was uploaded since I was last here, and move on until several months later. Honestly I'm surprised this is his first, or first successful youtube attempt. Wild. When I saw the few subscribers and small view counts I figured his original channel got deleted and he was reuploading videos. I guess I got that impression due to how well put together the videos are and how many in-jokes and such are contained within the videos themselves, as well as the charismatic personality DJC has.

Suppose, i understand your struggles of being a youtuber. It's hard to decide what's better an everyday routine with 9 to 5 or creating content. It's always less of a money making stuff (due to russia ukr) but more of a place where we can express our feelings. After few burnouts i came to conclusion that i'll do anything i can to make content, but i'm also going to balance it with my real life. I found your channel last year with the dark souls 3 video. I'm super proud of this guy leaning into his more creative side of himself and being willing to even back out of a job that he doesn't even hate, just so he has more time to do RU-vid. Man, I found you after DOOM Eternal blew up the internet and just really really loved the points you made and how raw, descriptive and sarcastic you were, and still are to this day. I spent 10 years in active military, and was a little upset I had to leave. Went back to school for something I love and started working on side projects I wanted to. You will NOT REGRET IT as long as you have an inkling of a plan. It doesn't even have to be a good one to be honest. Cobbler, I found your content around the time elden ring came out this year, not because of elden ring, but because of the video you did on bioshock infinite, and it is probably one of my favorite video essays on the platform. Now I've stuck around for all of your skits and what not that you're currently doing and I love them. You are one of the very few youtubers that I have tried to push my friends to watch because I think you're that good at this. I can count on one hand the number of channels that have this particular wavelength of chaotic energy delivered in video essays, maybe two hands delivered in any other form. Any day that drops a Cobbler video is a day made brighter because, boy, you goin' on a trip. I'm glad you are doing well at an endeavor that draws passion out of you. I found this channel earlier this year, when it was at around 10k subscribers. The first video I watched was the one about Far Cry 3, and I absolutely loved it. Imediately after that I was sucked into your content. I've watched every video before it and eagerly awaited every video after it. Every time you upload I get so cheerful because it means I get to watch another cobbler video. That is why your situation that you described here really saddens me. I really wish it wasnt like that.
