I remember the first because I remember thinking at the time "It will be weird when we get to this and he's been on it from day 1". This made Blake's react even funnier for me because I knew the history and lore of Iglis relative random thoughts and comments leading up to this one.
And both their deaths were felt until the very last episode of the series. I have never seen character impact a series so much as those 2. And Rhaegar was the other character that was felt without even making an appearance.@user-sw7ob2zk7p
Varys had originally planned to stay in Kings Landing, but after realizing what Tyrion had done he knew he had to leave because it would eventually be discovered that he helped Tyrion escape.
In the book Jamie admits to Tyrion that the situation with Tysha (Tyrion's first wife) was never a farse and she really did love him and wed him, it wasn't a trick to make a man of Tyrion

Jojen’s death, Jon burning Ygritte’s body, Jaime and Tyrion saying goodbye to each other, The Hound begging for death, Dany locking up the dragons, the betrayal Tyrion felt by Shae, Tyrion killing her, Daddy Tywin’s death (as evil as he is, he was an amazing character and the actor who plays him was incredible)…such an amazing episode and I loved the reaction as always boys! ❤
The reason the Shae storyline makes no sense is because in the book she was always faking it but in the show they decided to make it much more earnest but still gave her the same exact ending.
I dont know why but this is actually one of my favourite episodes tied heavily with the Astapor episode. I think its because the title alone has so much meaning to it. It focuses on all the children, the Stark children (Jon, Arya but dont remember if Sansa was in this), the Lannister children (Cersei, Jamie and Tyrion now freed from their father's control), Dany's "children" (locking up the two dragons because shes lost control of Drogon) and The Children of the forest.
I didn't realize the show hadn't dropped the dragons' names yet. What the hell took them so long? They've been around since s1 e10 for crying out loud! Apparently the other 2 get dropped in s5 e1. I'm interested to see how Igli feels about those names.

I'm one of those people who has claimed he's watched it, and I've been watching from the beginning, AND I watch your discussions to the end, so I'm not showing up just to shit post. Amazing eppy.. Glad the title was mentioned, cos it can refer to the Lannister Children, Stark Children as mentioned, but also the intro of "the children of the forest." Don't think I have it in me to write my usual dissertation and go on about GoT conspiracy theories, but I will say I hugely question the paternal parentage of Tyrion and Meera.. Never considered Shae to have possibly been a setup from the beginning, but definitely worth thinking about.. "No Harvesting of Jon's essence." Brilliant and can't stop laughing lol Hound/Brienne, also epic and best 1 on 1 fight.. Army of the dead leveled up in speed..lol Qyburn..can't help but enjoy his character and his curious mind..he hit the jackpot finding Cersei..she lets him do whatever. Finally, every woman should channel a little bit of Cersei and a little bit of Shae..😉
Isnt there a conspiracy of Tyrion actually not being Tywin's son, hence the quote at the end , "You're not my son." Tywin loved his wife so much, he kept Tyrion alive out of respect for her.
RIP to the best character, the True King of Westeros, Tywin Lannister. I think he had to be killed mainly cause he was sleeping with Shea. But the idea that he tried to have Tyrion killed is exagerated. As far as I know Tywin started the War of the Five Kings cause Tyrion was captured by Cathlyn. And many times he could have him killed he didn't. (he would not even kill him following the trial, he wanted to send him to the Night's Watch) Now I want to go back to something interesting that Igly said and I was blown away by it. About if the Wildlings had won the battle with the Night's Watch, how Mance would not have had the capacity to control them from slaughtering people on their path. And that is a 100% true and it's crazy how this has never crossed my mind! This is why I watched you guys for insight like this. I thought it was pretty interesting. And I even wonder if the writers even thought about it! lol I rewatched the show many times and following the first viewing I always thought "the Wildlings are not really a menace cause all they want to do is escape the White Walkers" but let's face it, you cannot control a mob and these guys have the habits of g(r)aping and pilleaging. Plus you add the frenzy of war when you start killing and you win this huge battle against your number one enemy of tousands of years, it's the bloodlust, right, they would not have stopped. I almost wished this would have been adressed on the show like have Jon Snow(who knows about the Walkers) say "I know they just want to escape the Walkers but if they cross the wall and we lose, then every citizens of Westeros is gonna pay the price". Anyway so Congrat Igly for this!

This episode four me is extremely entertaining, but as a book fan this is the start of the writers being lazy and unfaithful to the books, the tyrion and Jamie’s escape is 100x better in the books. They cut out the original lines to make Jamie more likable, but changing this and the testimony’s earlier in the season complete butcher both characters for me for the rest of the show. They fucked up bad in this episode, putting the final nail in the coffin that this character isn’t Tyrion Lannister, but Peter Dinklage in a fantasy role. What upsets me more is the first three seasons built up to the moment they cut out, and it just ruins 2 of the most intriguing characters in the series.
I haven't read the books but I've watched a lot of reactions, and thus read a lot of comments. It seems Iike not adding a detail from the book that gives more context to something in the show happens multiple times.

No. I completely disagree with you. The show isn’t worth watching after season 4?? Do you know how absurd that sounds?? Season 6 is my second fav season. “Bad seasons” of GOT were still levels above other tv shows. How can you not see that?
This was when Tyrion stopped being a great character. This was his last episode as a great character. Then they abandon so many storylines of his with a different side to him.
