I feel like you are getting a bit confused. Pikes were far more common than spears and in one on one combat spears were very rare.

For good reason btw. Anyone halfway decent with a short sword could close the distance and the person holding the spear is out of luck.

Because robin has never seen arya i think. In the books its a big problem that neither the tullys or lysa have seen arya since she was basically a baby therefore is unlikely that someone would believe de hound. Still they could have tried, but in the books they never get to the vale since is to dangerous for two people alone. In the tv shows its a plot mistake since they were alredy there they could have tried.

Even more so, I think Tyrion sees himself as one of those beetles, always being looked down on as a lesser being because he was born differently to regular men. Jaime's line "Who gives a dusty fuck about a bunch of beetles?" Shows that even though these beings were being slaughtered, it doesn't matter because they aren't "important" enough in his eyes. It seems to tie into the situation with Tywin and Cersei hating on him solely because he is a dwarf or a beetle in their eyes.

From a practical perspective, working with adults is far preferable for television and movies so they either age up kids whenever possible or else they just get adults to play the kids.

To be fair. What he wanted was the confesion that Twyn was the one who gave the order. He wanted that because thats enough reason to push prince doran to declare war into the lannisters. Thats why he wanted the mountain to confess.

@@jankasolis61 Which he could have gotten without walking right fucking next to him!?! He had like a 6 foot spear, and the Mountain was on the ground. He could have literally just danced around him all day and just stabbed him 1000 times with no chance for the mountain to counterattack if he kept at maximum range for his spear. I just always felt that Oberyn was a smarter character than that, but I understand that he had to die for the plot. Thought it was just a stupid way to kill him and they should've figured out something so much better for him...
